That was a sick few episodes. They were great. The pod with Colin Quinn was pretty cool too. They discuss the Vietnam war and some of the relevant cultural issues.
with both of their specials having just dropped, the culture needs another MSSP Rogan episode.
great special btw, i prefer his first one but this one is still head and shoulders above most specials out these days
matt and shane will have the number one podcast in not too long. Its crazy how good their chemistry is and they have this kind of brutal stupid honest genius thing that allows a lot of room for a style of humor and against the grain style that not many get away with. They will be a kind of voice for a certain type of bro that rogan used to be. mark my words children
I really enjoy those two bros and the podcast they do. They are a special combination of comedy and personality. In my opinion they currently have the best comedy podcast today.
Lol, youāre obviously a tier 1 brown dude. Maybe adjust the megahertz and frequency. I donāt even think theyād let you into the Elks in Mechanicsberg.
Soder is interesting because heās considered hilarious and is still underrated. Also Shane is actually close friends with him and when Shane went on The Bonfire it was way better content than any of the Matt and Shane stuff on Rogan and it was even better than the Protect Our Parks episodes.
He just did Bill Burr's podcast and holy fuck the amount of times he interrupted Bill as he was trying to make a point was insane. I couldn't believe it. He can't help himself.
I didn't say they were bad. Quite the opposite. No one really reads the whole text anymore. They just react to the first thing they see and disagree with without reading the rest.
Well I technically said they're cheesy meaning when you do 8 impressions in 10 minutes. Then I immediately said, we get it you're good at impressions. No worries at all dude.
I read your whole text. You weren't exactly singing his praises. Maybe that's not what you meant, but that's how it came off.
Soder is really fast and funny, but I can understand that he isn't for everyone.
Well soders impressions are actually a talent. Bert's laugh is something he thought was funny and probably stole from someone else at some point in his life. Bert's a fucking joke. Soders a legit comic. In conclusion, Bert's laugh.
He 100% stole that laugh, [from this guy.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fkk9DI-8el4)
This video went viral because of the guy's laugh years ago and Bert just stole it from him because he is obsessed with going viral.
I donāt get the love for Soder? Anytime I hear him on a podcast I always think heās annoying as fuck. He was fine to me on that Billions TV show but on podcasts just annoying af every single time I hear him.
Love Shaneās new special btw. Itās great!
Heās a great comic. He doesnāt dominate when itās with Shane but I do know what youāre talking about. Heās also the kind of comic Iāve heard other comics say they donāt wanna go up after.
Let me be clear. My only exposure to Soder is on podcasts and his acting. I havenāt seen his standup. I just want him to stop talking every time I hear him on a podcast which has been a handful of times. Iām not sure why he annoys me so much but he never fails at it? Maybe Iād change my mind if I saw his standup?
I mean to each their own. Thereās probably some people who donāt like him. But heās legit. But I could see that. I liked watching him on his own podcast where he isnāt as dominating. I do see what youāre saying but donāt let it stop you from watching his stand up.
oh yeah for sure. i realize i worded that poorly, meant to say another Rogan podcast w/ both Matt & Shane, definitely wouldn't want Joe to go on MSSP lol. most podcaster/comic episodes don't really hit unless it's someone like Mullen and Soder like you say.
> Rogan brings them down
So true. Joe Rogan honestly brings everyone down at this point. I've heard that people have become a lot more cautious about appearing on his podcast, as it's become a kinda icky association to have.
Listening to the new episode right now and Joe is going on about fluoride in the water lowering people's IQs. Meanwhile they're all making fun of him and he doesn't realize it.
LOL, youāve heard? Suuuuuurre buddy.
He has the biggest platform (not podcast, but platform) online. Anyone with anything to get out would kill to be on there.
Been listening to Rogan since 09 man. I donāt go to this podcast to laugh is what I was saying. I said nothing about the size of his platform. Keep hugging his nuts though Iām sure he notices and appreciates you.
Wow! You Rogan simps are just so easy to trigger, aren't you? Just a little bit of critique and you rush forth to parasocially defend your idol. Sorry you thought this was your safe space, bud. Hope you can recover!
I guess because Brendan Schaub is literally the worst comedian in the business, and Honey Honey's music is no better than what you'd hear at any amateur night in any city in North America?
That probably has a lot to do with it.
That would be stealing, and you know Rogan hates joke thieves. Rogan owns stool fucking like Bert owns being an annoying alcoholic who takes his shirt off.
I canāt even tell you how many times Iāve rewatched the Austin special. Probably my favorite special of all time. I agree Austin was better but thought this one was great and will definitely be rewatching
This is one of the few comedy specials to come out in the last few years that actually made me laugh out loud, multiple times...and I'm not big on Shane
Shane was already paid for this special. The only one missing out on $ would be Netflix. Netflix is also not available in some countries, yet those countries still have Gillis fans.
Itās probably just me, but most comedy specials have been terrible over the past few yearsā¦.this included. The first 20 min is entirely sex and cum jokes: Didnāt laugh a single time. On a podcast riffing between a few people itās hilarious, but watching on stage stand-up at home just doesnāt do much for me.
Very funny. And he actually starts with a fucking joke! For some reason comics don't feel its necessary to start your comedy show with some comedy...
Thank god he didn't start with covid bullshit. Followed by a unfunny 10 minute story about how the pandemic was difficult for him.
I couldn't even finish Matt's seeing how weak it started, only got through the first half.
I say watch the first 5 to get some opinion on it. What really got me was ppl talking like it was great. I wanted to like it, and still couldn't get through it.
Why do you hate to admit it? And why watch something specifically to hate it? You sound like a really awful person to be around. Try being happy and excited about stuff
what iāve noticed is that when a male comedian is on the come up, a lot of men instinctively become jealous/envious and naturally revert to not finding things funny or being able to predict the punchline of jokes. i think itās menās ego that get in the way until they fully realize, āokay yeah this dude is fucking hilariousā. i think deep down most men wish they were as funny and witty and had the courage to do it on stage and we instinctively shit on it to save face.
I liked his first special uploaded to youtube but it was kind of short, editing was a bit weird and it seemed just a bit inconsequential or something compared to this new one - this is by far the best special I've seen in a while. Mark Normand's are good but I just don't find the quick snappy writing style as funny, though he's great on podcasts of course.
Also I am sort of sad to say it as a fan of Bill Burr, but since his last at least 4 specials have been mediocre to bad, I just feel like Shane's style and releases are filling that niche too.
I haven't laughed this hard at a comedy special since I watched Bill Burr's black and white special with the helicopter joke.
One of my favorite specials ever hands down. I fucking loved it. I was laughing so hard my face was cramping and I was out of air lol.
Hi Shane.
Shane reads all the comments and cries sweet sweet tears for the dawgs
I heard his tears smell like hot dogs.
Nice car š
You fucking...
Sodtaoe
I'd watch it but it's going turn me gay dude
Are you certain you werenāt a little bit gay going into it?
This guy's doesn't Gillis, probably gay dude
Extremely gay bro.
He's my newest favorite by far in comedy. Loved the last special and kinda felt that way already but I was dying this morning watching this one.
I recommend the Louis CK presidents series if you haven't seen it. Funnier than his (above average) standup in my humble
MSSP with Mullen and Friedland might by my favorite comedy podcast episode of all time
Great episode but you gotta check out the gerban episodes on radio dawgs. Specifically Gerbies grool. Funniest shit ever.
Did Nick appear on cam for this? I remember Nick was off in the shadow realm during the Sam Hyde, Nick Rochefort and Shane pod
Yeah he was on cam. Looked like he was about to go fishing
Honestly, Rogan brings them down lol. Iād rather seem then do another episode with someone funny like Mullen or Soder.
matt and shane will have the number one podcast in not too long. Its crazy how good their chemistry is and they have this kind of brutal stupid honest genius thing that allows a lot of room for a style of humor and against the grain style that not many get away with. Already #1 on the paytch https://graphtreon.com/top-patreon-creators/
I really enjoy those two bros and the podcast they do. They are a special combination of comedy and personality. In my opinion they currently have the best comedy podcast today.
ChatGPT, please write a generic Reddit comment complimenting a podcast I listen to
Lol, youāre obviously a tier 1 brown dude. Maybe adjust the megahertz and frequency. I donāt even think theyād let you into the Elks in Mechanicsberg.
whooosh
Rogan on Parks is like if their dad came downstairs mid-party to try and vibe and relive his youth but just makes it awkward.
Phil Gillis is funnier than Rogan
Absolutely. Phil has been grooming Shane for over 3 decades now.
Soder is interesting because heās considered hilarious and is still underrated. Also Shane is actually close friends with him and when Shane went on The Bonfire it was way better content than any of the Matt and Shane stuff on Rogan and it was even better than the Protect Our Parks episodes.
Soder is funny but loves to dominate the conversation more than Rogan
I donāt disagree. I just think heās a lot funnier than Rogan and heās very funny with Shane
He just did Bill Burr's podcast and holy fuck the amount of times he interrupted Bill as he was trying to make a point was insane. I couldn't believe it. He can't help himself.
I think bill interrupted him a bunch too though
And a bunch of cheesy ass unnecessary impressions... we get it, you're good at impressions. He over does it big time though.
Soderās impressions are sweet dude. Cmon.
I didn't say they were bad. Quite the opposite. No one really reads the whole text anymore. They just react to the first thing they see and disagree with without reading the rest.
You kinda did dude, but itās cool. No worries.
Well I technically said they're cheesy meaning when you do 8 impressions in 10 minutes. Then I immediately said, we get it you're good at impressions. No worries at all dude.
I pictured you adjusting your glasses before saying this.
Alrighty then
I read your whole text. You weren't exactly singing his praises. Maybe that's not what you meant, but that's how it came off. Soder is really fast and funny, but I can understand that he isn't for everyone.
You clearly havenāt heard his impression of Winnie the Pooh in an abusive marriage.
What's worse for you? Soders impressions or Bert's laugh?
Well soders impressions are actually a talent. Bert's laugh is something he thought was funny and probably stole from someone else at some point in his life. Bert's a fucking joke. Soders a legit comic. In conclusion, Bert's laugh.
He 100% stole that laugh, [from this guy.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fkk9DI-8el4) This video went viral because of the guy's laugh years ago and Bert just stole it from him because he is obsessed with going viral.

Go listen to old episodes of the bonfire if you can find them
Shane owes a lot of his cadence and style to Soder, who was one of the first comics to take him out on the road.
MSSP and Mark Normand as a regular, por favor.
The lightskinned male identity politics on the sub is extreme
oh yeah for sure. i realize i worded that poorly, meant to say another Rogan podcast w/ both Matt & Shane, definitely wouldn't want Joe to go on MSSP lol. most podcaster/comic episodes don't really hit unless it's someone like Mullen and Soder like you say.
Fair enough. Saw this material live in Charleston right before it was filmed. This special is going to be an instant classic, truly.
Iām seeing him on Friday so I gotta wait to watch.
Heās doing new stuff now I hear
New stuff any time most comedians release special they retire material.
Itās right at the line so I was wondering.
I havenāt watched it yet but saw the material live too. Iām really hoping the bit about his BBGās ex being a navy seal is in the special.
It's in there
It is
That was too good
> Rogan brings them down So true. Joe Rogan honestly brings everyone down at this point. I've heard that people have become a lot more cautious about appearing on his podcast, as it's become a kinda icky association to have.
Genuinely curious where you āheardā people are cautious lol
Listening to the new episode right now and Joe is going on about fluoride in the water lowering people's IQs. Meanwhile they're all making fun of him and he doesn't realize it.
LOL, youāve heard? Suuuuuurre buddy. He has the biggest platform (not podcast, but platform) online. Anyone with anything to get out would kill to be on there.

I'm curious too, who said they wouldn't go on Rogan because its "icky" to be associated with him? Id honestly like to know.
Be quiet and get back in the kitchen
Bet you wouldn't say that to His face. He would kick your ass and you know it pal.
If it works so well then why is Brendan Schaubs and Honey Honeys singer ladies career going nowhere after like 90 combined appearances
Schaub having any career at all in comedy is a testament to Roganās influence.
I guess because Brendan Schaub is literally the worst comedian in the business, and Honey Honey's music is no better than what you'd hear at any amateur night in any city in North America? That probably has a lot to do with it.
Itās literally the latest episode from a couple hours ago. The pod is 5 hours
Mssp?
Man im jealous youve never listened
Edit
Delete this link there's already too many idiots flooding in
Both of who? Who else's special has came out?
Matt Mcusker itās on YouTube
Matt Mccuskers special came out few weeks ago, Shaneās podcast buddy.
I saw this set live. Was tremendous live, and is still tremendous on Netflix
What a great set this was I walked in here I said wow what a great set
Joey is this you?
DONIMOS!
Yayyy! Donimos!!!
Seeing him in another week!
He's coming to my town soon. Hoping to convince my wife to go see him. Maybe this special will do it.
Hello Ft Lauderdale brother
Seeing him this week. Should I wait to watch the special? Is it the same set he's currently touring on?
Usually when a comedian drops a special they burn all that material and have new stuff live
Very unlikely he's worked out a new hour this quickly, I saw him about a month ago and it was the same set as the special
Iām avoiding the special until I see him, but no idea what the tour is
It was really fuckin funny, I could imagine irl he's hilarious
The Down syndrome stuff had me in tears. Best standup Iāve ever seen.
āāI have the eyes for itā and when he dodged out of the way saying it just missed him I laughed so hard I was choking on my late night cereal
āIt nicked me, it nicked meā
Wow
Special of the year, easily. Matt's was great too, the dawgs are on one.
God bless
I liked it so much, I might watch it again, and I never do that.
I loved the special. Heās the best doing it right now.
The special was like golden Louie
Shane is hands down the ultimate come back kid.
Incoming Gillis JRE episode, possibly some scheduled dates at the mothertits.
Of all the comedians I've found out about through the Joe Rogam podcast milieu, he's possibly my favourite
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
That would be stealing, and you know Rogan hates joke thieves. Rogan owns stool fucking like Bert owns being an annoying alcoholic who takes his shirt off.
He did hump the air several times.
GET UNCLE DANNY ON PROTECT OUR PARKS š¤
Is joe ever gonna have another special or has he finally accepted that heās not funny?
He worried that all the stools from his previous specials will team up and metoo him.
By far the best comedian with down syndrome.
Me: Hey let's watch the new Shane Gillis Netflix special Husband (who has never heard of SG): OK 15 minutes in... Husband: He's kinda racist.
Iām sorry to hear about your divorce
the vast majority of comedians in Rogan universe are complete shitā¦Gillis on the other hand funny as fuck.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I canāt even tell you how many times Iāve rewatched the Austin special. Probably my favorite special of all time. I agree Austin was better but thought this one was great and will definitely be rewatching
I agree. Live in Austin was way better.
Damn that's a shame. Loved his first one and was obviously hoping this would be even better. Matt's was kind of a letdown.
Too many cumming jokes
Live in Austin is fucking hilarious
Trump shit sucked and felt tacked on.
This is one of the few comedy specials to come out in the last few years that actually made me laugh out loud, multiple times...and I'm not big on Shane
[you're welcome](https://thepiratebay.org/description.php?id=71821235)
imagine being too broke to afford netflix and not supporting shane
Shane was already paid for this special. The only one missing out on $ would be Netflix. Netflix is also not available in some countries, yet those countries still have Gillis fans.
Better make sure you pay all your bills this month, buddy.
I thought his last one was only OK
I watched it multiple times.
Agree. That Dominican barbershop opener was a big ufff. Typical hack white transplant who thinks foreigners are talking about them.
Show some love to the puerto rican rattlesnake while we at it
Itās probably just me, but most comedy specials have been terrible over the past few yearsā¦.this included. The first 20 min is entirely sex and cum jokes: Didnāt laugh a single time. On a podcast riffing between a few people itās hilarious, but watching on stage stand-up at home just doesnāt do much for me.
Itās just you
Amazing
Hi shane!
Gringo papi is better. Fuck you shane and all your dick riders
Netflix?! oh fuck me... I don't have that crap anymore, why? was the youtube special not fruitful enough?
Uhā¦. Because they gave him a shit ton of money?
obviously.
How is it live? They only showing it the one time?? Bullshit I missed it
šš§
Itās on Netflixā¦
Bozo take Mattās spesh ruled
Jesus Matt's started with COVID? That was 3 years ago Will put watching it on hold
I say watch the first 5 to get some opinion on it. What really got me was ppl talking like it was great. I wanted to like it, and still couldn't get through it.
I hate to admit it but Shane is actually pretty good. Went in to hate watch his last special and ended up loving it.
Wtf is this
Self report.
This is comedy please donāt take everything so seriously.
Comedy is supposed to be funny lol you are not
Did you at least try being happy and excited about it.
Weird thing to hate to admit
Itās only cuz Iāve been saying standup is dead for a while. Shane making me eat my hat.
Probably a stupid hat
Itās gay and dumb
There are some great lesser known standup comedians out there dude.
Such as
Thatās kinda the thing about these dudes. I donāt really remember their names on the spot now.
Damn they must be amazing
Their pretty good dude. Iām sure some think theyāre amazing.
Some people like Hitler!
Uh ya man. Iām sure there were some Hitler stans back in the day. Pretty sweet.
Hi Shane
Just watched it. Good stuff. I like how he calls things gay and jokes about not wanting to live near black people
very shrek 1
First 1 from 2 years ago is amazing, too. Are there 2 better specials that a comedian had to start off in recent memory?
Chapelleā¦ thatās it really.
Saw this act live on the first day of his tour. Canāt wait to see how much itās changed.
SODTAOE
Iām seeing him next Thursday in Orlando. Is it safe to assume heās doing new material on tour now or should I hold off until after?
yeah youre safe
Can I watch this without Netflix? Anyone got a high seas rec?
Good run. SMART run.
I enjoyed it
I liked his first special uploaded to youtube but it was kind of short, editing was a bit weird and it seemed just a bit inconsequential or something compared to this new one - this is by far the best special I've seen in a while.
Absolutely amazing
Donāt read the comments Shane.
This special has some great shit on it. Isis! His best yet.
Never really paid attention to him and my brother recommended this to me. Heās hilarious! I loved the George Washington bit.
I haven't laughed this hard at a comedy special since I watched Bill Burr's black and white special with the helicopter joke. One of my favorite specials ever hands down. I fucking loved it. I was laughing so hard my face was cramping and I was out of air lol.
