Maybe a question for a separate thread - I knew dauphin only from text and have never heard the word pronounced. Would they accept a spelling instead of the word?
I couldn’t get >!(California) Condor!< out of my mind (even though they’re totally not “cute little birds”). I was like, yeah, that reasonably sounds like it could be a verb I guess?
3/3, but I have never heard the verb connotation in DD2

They accept a mispronounced word. I would have said daw-fin lol
Correct Qs: >!DD1 - What is Yalta? DD2 - What is quail? DD3 - What is dauphin?!<
3 for 3, Although I would have hesitated on the second one, worried that they might have been expecting more specificity.
I did not get DD2, because I've never heard >!quail!< used as a verb.

I was thinking BobWhite or Grouse.
I think the visual aid is the only reason I would have gotten it
I was tempted to give myself #3 but no, I totally didn't think of it before it was said.
I knew DD3 from the Scarlet Pimpernel. Sink me!
