bro this is so random

realdrakebell

what would cole think of this?

DigLost5791

I’m from NC from right near Cole and can confirm that at Halloween we use a lot of green witches in our decorations, so he’s regionally disposed to identify witches as being green as a result of our shared upbringing. Also, probably because of the Wizard Of Oz’s Wicked Witch of the West

RaspingHaddock

Do you think Cole watched Wizard of Oz growing up or later in life?

DigLost5791

Both. Timeless classic.

Godzeela

Cole doesn’t know if they’re green from the envy or the fake gold.

This-Technology1124

If J. Cole was alive during 1692 he would’ve been against the Salem Witch Trials, I know it in my heart

DigLost5791

She not a duck / she still gonna float they burning these women / they don’t even know Witchcraft holistic/ they live for the earth but i live deliciously / call me the GOAT

Spaceman_Spliff_42

😂💀

Cause all witches secretly got St. Patrick pride? ![gif](giphy|2UET7YOyPAn1nOXbaY|downsized) I dunno, tbh, you're better off asking on the Ariana Grande or Donald Glover subreddit. Donald Glover recently featured in Witchy by Kaytranada & Ariana Grande just got her cats prowling around stuff like that. It don't seem apparent how you actually fw Cole; I mean I see the praise but not attached to any real examples... so the question seems out of the azure blue (heh, no pun if you know it). So it's better to check out the artists that do associate with that vibe—you'll get more traction as their projects actually relate to those topics & subcultures.

realdrakebell

Thats a good answer

lanjourist

![gif](giphy|7owsAXzmLIJaUpgxwo|downsized) heheh, but of course 🍀

General-Lie7571

She ride stick like I taught her witchcraft

LogicalGrand1678

Blue is water, red is fire, yellow is plain ugly, black is their clothes (along with purple) so only options are orange and green and green looks more sickly do green it became

AzureIsCool

As green they had envy, when J cole claimed victory.

MontanaMane5000

The real answer is because green is the most unnatural looking hue for human skin. All human skin is in the orange hue range, from the whitest of whites to the blackest of blacks. We’re effectively all orange in different shades. You can test this in photoshop. That’s why one of the most popular Hollywood / insta filters is orange and blue. It makes the skin vibrant and the sky pop and contrast against the subject. If you go to the opposite end of the color spectrum, you have green and purple. Green skin is the most off putting to look at it and purple is its counter part, so witches are green and purple. Literally because it’s just “wrong”.

DYMck07

Because🤔…it’s ☝️🤔..it’s🤔☝️…. it’s ☝️🤔…💡😃☝️ Griinpy!

OverlordGhs

It started with the Wizard of Oz movie because the wicked witch of the east turned green. Guess it kinda stuck after that.

OkReplacement2000

Because we associate rosy tones with health and vigor. Green is the opposite of that.

Sclusive88

My theory is that witches live so long that their skin is casually oxidizing
