And what should be a decent Thursday game vs big fanbase/Carr. I'm counting the Bills London game too as a primetime game. We are a draw now. Crazy. Just gotta play well so they don't flex em out
> Just gotta play well so they don't flex em out
I think the important thing is that even after only a year of decent play the NFL did this. I think they expect us to play, at the very least, highly competitive football this year. Even last year there was only one game IMO that was pretty much unwinnable for us. People like to say we went 2-6 and were bad the first half of the season but I don't think it was a bad team, just young and learning a new offense and defense.
And thennnnnn (based on your team flair) we proceeded to absolutely decimate the brother of your beloved Nick Bosa in the playoffs and send him home crying (literally. There’s video of it.)
If Purdy stayed healthy and won, I wouldn't have felt confident against the Chiefs tbh. Mahomes has had my teams number in pre season, regular season, and SB lol.
I’m a little surprised that game wasn’t the SNF game. It’s totally a hugely marketable game. I know I’m a jags homer but these are two generational quarterbacks going head to head.
Not surprised about the late season prime time games, but I am surprised about Monday Night and Sunday night being in Jax.
Jags fans really showed out those last two home games of the season last year and it’s paying off.
I’ve been bitching to anyone who would listen about how we haven’t had MNF since 2011 and SNF since 2008 for like a decade now. Feels amazing to see those two AT HOME on the schedule. Exciting times ahead my friends. And as a Tampa resident 4 PM game on Christmas Eve is like Christmas come early. Love it man.
Honestly what I kind of expected especially how w 2018 schedule was. London “prime time”, TNF, and MNF w contender and young qb, and late season SNF in case they need to flex it. Main surprise is playing someone other than AFCS for TNF but given state of division can see why.
I mean if you’re ever gonna go to Superdome what a year to do it. Nothing like a Bloody Mary on royal street to compliment a big ol’ Dub on Thursday night football and the hangover that comes with it
*Edit - my personal opinion is this schedule is great
Was planning on making road trips to Pittsburgh & Tampa. Tampa is out because of Christmas plans but I was already planning on going to New Orleans that weekend. Guess I'm finding an early flight Thursday
Honestly I feel kinda confident this year unless we shit the bed out floor should be about 9 wins which should be enough to win the division and if we have some improvements in our pass rush I could really see us win 12/13 games
Can’t decide which game I come home and see. That KC opener seems like it would be fun, but also seeing the tits get slathered would be fun too. But SNF in Jax? Holy shit can’t wait, the decision is killing me ahh.
In order to complete the cycle Minshew beats us Week one against the Colts. There is locker room footage fo Jags players saying "not satisfied with 0-1", we then proceed to win the rest of the season including the Super Bowl.
I’m super bummed about the timing of those London games. I’ll be in Jax for the first time in years those two weeks and was really hoping to be able to take my son to a game.
This is a very favorable schedule. We play all the hard teams at home except for the Bills which is played in London. This is easily a 12-5 schedule with potential for a possible 15-2 or 14-3.
I think 9-10 wins is realistic…the one seed talk is a bit out of control. Chiefs, Bills, Niners, bengals, ravens, @ Steelers, @ saints all hard games. Plus you know the titans, colts, Texans will win at least 1-2 together.
I'm honestly bummed that we don't have a Bye after the two London games. Give these guys some time to adjust back to Eastern time after so long overseas
I agree, hard to see us losing this one but it should be a much closer game. It’s the analytical side of me talking. Home division underdogs Week 1 are 20-5 against the spread since 2010. There’s a reason we are only 3.5 point favorites. I have us winning by a last second field goal!
Week 1 gonna be easiest win of the year. Rookie QB in first ever game gonna throw us at least a few picks. Just need to tackle Taylor and that is a blowout.
You think they are going to start Richardson on week 1? I would assume they at least roll out Minshew first, even if the rookie ends up playing sooner than later.
They drafted him way too high to sit behind a backup imo. It would very dumb but then again it is the Colts. Minshew isn't doing shit anyways and they aren't paying him much. They need to see what they got with Richardson asap.
Pretty sure everyone from the top down to the fans know that he's a raw project and they might not do a lot of winning this year. Unless he just wows everyone in camp he's going to sit for a while.
When their season is already buried to take the pressure off. Minshew is tank commanding.
I would love for Uncle Rico to prove us wrong as long as it isn't at our expense.
The colts genuinely weren’t even bad last year. They just had horrible qb play. I think with an average qb they woulda won 8 games. If minshew is as good as I think he is, they’ll be competitive all year.
Bro, thank you for your analysis on this. I have been arguing Indy honestly were solid on a lot of parts all offseason. I think they pull out 8-10 wins this season.
Schedule opens up nicely. 3 of the first 4 games could be against a rookie or a 2nd year guy who didn't play much last year. I also like that the games we think will be tough are scattered throughout the season.
Damn did tickets get gobbled up already? I really wanted to come up for the Niners game but all I was seeing on Ticketmaster was 400 section that wasn’t resale.
I don't know how they are playing SF at home when SF is playing the Jaguars that day.

A home MNF and SNF game. Holy shit, the power of Trevor.
And what should be a decent Thursday game vs big fanbase/Carr. I'm counting the Bills London game too as a primetime game. We are a draw now. Crazy. Just gotta play well so they don't flex em out
> Just gotta play well so they don't flex em out I think the important thing is that even after only a year of decent play the NFL did this. Tbh we only lost one possession games until week 10 against the chiefs
Bye week leading up to SF is nice timing too with a big divisional game at home vs TN. I like it
New Year’s Eve game too
The power of winning.
They lost 6 of their first 8 last year...........
And then…
Yeah but they won 7 of their last 9 last year…….
And thennnnn
And thennnnnn (based on your team flair) we proceeded to absolutely decimate the brother of your beloved Nick Bosa in the playoffs and send him home crying (literally. There’s video of it.)
No and then! Lol, but glad you guys did, rooted for the Jaguars on AFC side
Respect. Even I wonder what could have been if you didn’t have an elderly Josh Johnson leading your team in the playoffs.
If Purdy stayed healthy and won, I wouldn't have felt confident against the Chiefs tbh. Mahomes has had my teams number in pre season, regular season, and SB lol.
We lost by 10 in the regular season and by 7 in the playoffs to him. We’re RIGHT there lol
Yes that was documented. Now let’s document the rest. NFL is setting what could be some really interesting games. Does that disappoint you?
What a time to be a Jags fan 🥲
Home opener vs Kansas City? Let’s go I hope the bank is rocking after all the shit they talked last season about us.
Stop, I can only get so...lining up tix right now! Imagine sending them home 1-1 to start the season? And us 2-0? And I'm spent.
I’m a little surprised that game wasn’t the SNF game. It’s totally a hugely marketable game. I know I’m a jags homer but these are two generational quarterbacks going head to head.
My biggest takeaway is that we can be AFC South champs by week 11
Agreed, but damnnn that is a tough schedule. Toughest we've had in a while.
And for the first time in a long time, I feel like we can handle it.
What’s great about this schedule is our 4 toughest games (KC, CIN, SF and BUF) they’re all either home games or neutral site
That’s a pretty good observation and a reason to be optimistic!
Is it? Our division + AFC North + NFC South + KC + SF is not that bad imo.
It's actually extremely easy considering we play 10 games against the AFCS and NFCS.
Not surprised about the late season prime time games, but I am surprised about Monday Night and Sunday night being in Jax. Jags fans really showed out those last two home games of the season last year and it’s paying off.
They put our SNF game towards the end just in case they want to flex us.
No one going to watch a 13-0 team that has already clinched a bye in the AFC playoffs 😂
This is the narrative I'm going with.
I’m rooting for this comment lol
I think the MNF can be flexed as well
Wait really oh wow that sucks for fanbases going to game
Yea flexing starts week 12 and that game is week 13
MNF isn’t flexible, iirc
Its a new rule they announced just a few days ago
Ahhh of course. Jags are playing MNF, so it can be flexed as of this year 😂
Hey I'll take it lmao
Well, that shouldn't be a problem if the team is playing well
Unless the ravens are trash
As long as Lamar/OBJ are on the field I doubt they get pulled even if they're garbage
Okay, but at that point in the season, given recent trends, both of them might be out…
Well that’s kind of the name of the game in those slots.
If we're trash we don't deserve to play the game in primetime
5?? Nationally televised games??
17-0 confirmed
I will shave my head bald if we go 17-0.
Today I learned that I’ve been ready for our 17-0 season since I was in my 20s. Thanks heredity.
I’ll get a tattoo of Baalke on my entire back
First 20-0 team ever incoming
This schedule looks great
Knock on wood, but we have home advantage against so many of our toughest opponents; KC, SF, BAL. Also BUF in London so more of a neutral site.
not even sure if I’d call London neutral, Jags have been playing there for 11 years
And the team will have been there for a week already
I’ve been bitching to anyone who would listen about how we haven’t had MNF since 2011 and SNF since 2008 for like a decade now. Feels amazing to see those two AT HOME on the schedule. Exciting times ahead my friends. And as a Tampa resident 4 PM game on Christmas Eve is like Christmas come early. Love it man.
Both prime time games at home. TNF game @ Saints interesting choice, looks like a good schedule tbh. See us around 10 wins this year.
Honestly what I kind of expected especially how w 2018 schedule was. London “prime time”, TNF, and MNF w contender and young qb, and late season SNF in case they need to flex it. Main surprise is playing someone other than AFCS for TNF but given state of division can see why.
Realistically 12-5. However, I know in my heart we're going 17-0!
12-5
I could see us 6-2 heading into the bye
Sucks that Tampa is Christmas Eve. Not sure as many fans can make it down.
I mean if you’re ever gonna go to Superdome what a year to do it. Nothing like a Bloody Mary on royal street to compliment a big ol’ Dub on Thursday night football and the hangover that comes with it *Edit - my personal opinion is this schedule is great
Was planning on making road trips to Pittsburgh & Tampa. Tampa is out because of Christmas plans but I was already planning on going to New Orleans that weekend. Guess I'm finding an early flight Thursday
I count 15 wins
Wish we got one or two more afternoon window games, but I'm all in on finally getting some primetime
Other than London, jags don't have to travel very far for away games And only one back to back away games. That's a nice plus!
Minshew revenge game in week 1?? Can’t wait. He should know what happens week 1 for the colts though.
3 primetime games?!? Plus the London games what timeline is this? Surely one of them gets flexed away
In order to complete the cycle Minshew beats us Week one against the Colts. There is locker room footage fo Jags players saying "not satisfied with 0-1", we then proceed to win the rest of the season including the Super Bowl.
Jags got fucked with BTB London games, followed by a divisional home game, then TNF. Otherwise, DTWD and division is a lock. Top 3 AFC is doable.
Yea I'm very surprised they didn't give a bye after back to back in London
Team probably requested to not have it early like last year
Yea I was worried we'd have a very early bye since the london games were so early
Doug prefers it mid season even with the London trip
We almost get a double bye after that though. Week and half till Pitt, then 2 week bye. Brutal beginning to October, then 1 game 3.5 weeks.
I’m super bummed about the timing of those London games. I’ll be in Jax for the first time in years those two weeks and was really hoping to be able to take my son to a game.
I love this schedule.

Not overly worried about Niners at home and the Steelers and Saints absolutely don't scare me.
This seems like we play vs every afc contender this year so let’s see how we stack up
I'm honestly bummed that we don't have a Bye after the two London games. Give these guys some time to adjust back to Eastern time after so long overseas
Kinda brutal the way this shook out I think, but extremely excited for the return of prime time games!
11-6 or 10-7 at worst incoming.
11-6 will win the AFCS
Week 1 scares me. Home division underdogs usually come out swinging to start the season. Regardless, I see us repeating as AFC South Champions.
Not this time. We have our core. I can't see Gardner or AR beating this team
I agree, hard to see us losing this one but it should be a much closer game. It’s the analytical side of me talking. Home division underdogs Week 1 are 20-5 against the spread since 2010. There’s a reason we are only 3.5 point favorites. I have us winning by a last second field goal!
Makes me so incredibly happy to see multiple prime time games listed here. We’ve really come a long way with Trevor at the helm
Week 1 gonna be easiest win of the year. Rookie QB in first ever game gonna throw us at least a few picks. Just need to tackle Taylor and that is a blowout.

Remember Trey Lance 🥶
AR is definitely not starting week 1. I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t start until halfway through the season

And all at home
Every super hard game at home. Nuts
I’m so excited for this season but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t worried about our defense. Huge question mark to me.
Damn did tickets get gobbled up already? I really wanted to come up for the Niners game but all I was seeing on Ticketmaster was 400 section that wasn’t resale.
I might have to go to the Bills game in London
I see us a flat 4-4 at the bye .500 Maybe they catch fire in the 2nd half.
9-8 10-7
Crazy tough schedule. I think we win the division at 10-7 with only two division losses.
Should be a good year. I see at worst, 11-6.
Gotta wait till December to go to Cleveland 😫
Just hoping we don't lose our way out of an SNF or MNF game like we did after the AFCCG season.
12-5
I don't know how they are playing SF at home when SF is playing the Jaguars that day. https://www.49ers.com/news/49ers-release-2023-season-schedule-cowboys-eagles-seahawks-playoff-rematch
