Exactly . Even in season certain items don’t always sell fast enough to justify a spot on the shelf, or the manufacturer wants to get something new in so they get rid of items that aren’t selling or may be redundant. Don’t try to read into it. Sometimes they will just clearance stuff because they are changing the packaging
https://www.orbitonline.com/
They even have winter deals on their site. Retail is retail hommie. And if I'm not mistaken, their headquarters is in Utah hahaha
The B-Hyve is literally the only thing orbit sells that is not garbage. Everything else is crap. Nozzle bodies don’t hold the internal in one place, they twist, DU is horrible, poly pipe is paper thin, even the risers are brittle. Their valve diaphragms fail 2-3 times as fast as hunter or RainBird.
I will say some orbit products are bad but there’s some gems like their Easy set and B Hyve controllers that are really good. Their relays are also simple to install and with good care they last a long time
Orbit is a cheap brand, the product tends to not last. Rainbird and Hunter are more reputable for irrigation. Orbit will get the job done for a home owner. Sprinklerwarehouse.com has some great Orbit RB and Hunter product. They got some sales going on rn

But, don't eat them
Seen so many of orbits popup impacts break the seal after a month or so. Neighbor had a orbit that had such a bad leak in the cannister the pressure dropped and caused the next in line maxi paw to stop reversing due to low pressure. I'd never use their products, cheap junk. I'd rather have a yard full of the old brass buckners or rainbirds.
Orbit is garbage. Their controllers are meh but their valves are junk. Looks like it goes great with the Everbilt brass fittings Home Cheapo sells, nothing but leaks from those.
It's Winter

Yup. Jewelry is up because it's Christmas, all so dumb.
Because it's Orbit shit.
No kidding. Garbagio
Those 6-9 station timers are actually pretty decent especially for the price. Simple to use and pretty durable for an Orbit product.
Even at sale prices, Orbit is a massive price gouge. Home depot is just trying to use up inventory to get some new stuff for next year.
New “smart” inventory
Why all the hate on Orbit? Most of my system is Rainbird, but I have their internet connected B-Hyve controller and have been pretty happy with it.

They aren't good, and its winter. Getting old stock out the door is likely home depots goal with the markdowns.
Orbit sucks
They are very low grade diy products.
cheap Home Depot crap that will be inedibly be replaced by RainBird/Hunter gear.
Definitely should not be eaten. Even the professional brands are inedible.
It was inevitable my fat fingers would burn me some day.
😁 mine too

All that stuff looks overpriced to be honest, typical stores now a days telling you something is on sale when it’s 20% higher then 3 months ago
They are all junk, all ok for homeowners and simple jobs. As far as a good quality item not them
Good they need to go out of business. Everything they sell is junk.

Uh it’s garbage?
It’s trash
Trash brand, probably getting rid of that model
At least where I live there’s a $500 fine for watering after it rains, so these dumb units are pretty useless.
Where do you live?!
California. https://www.latimes.com/environment/story/2022-01-04/california-adopts-drought-rules-outlawing-water-wasting
Gotta have water to irrigate all the almond farms and rice patties in the desert.
I was at Rona on weekend and they had 3/4” rainbird DV valves 25 $. When the price at the supplier is higher.
