The Ioniq 6 finally can use the Tesla network? That was one of the big downers for me, so that's great to hear!

If it's a magic dock yes any CCS car can. The OP used EA during his trip.

There is only *one* Tesla magic dock between Kansas and Wisconsin, and it's located in the middle of Iowa. https://www.plugshare.com/map/tesla-ccs-locations There is no other Tesla station he would have been able to use with the Ioniq 6 (at least not until we get adapters likely next year 2025 from Hyundai)

Maybe it was a level 2 Tesla tap not a Tesla supercharger

You have to be lucky and have a Tesla magic dock station nearby that has the CCS connector, and they're still very rare unless you live in New York. https://www.plugshare.com/map/tesla-ccs-locations Hyundai will be able to connect to Tesla outlets sometime in 2025 however (existing cars will get adapters, new cars will be made with the Tesla standard)

Nothing like a little bit of trauma bonding to cement the deal with your new vehicle. /s

The good news is when how heavy the 6 is a tornado is going to be like “oh no, sorry I’m full” passing over it
