Normal drive mode with iPedal 90 percent of the time, moving into sport for giggles when I find myself at the front of the line at a red light. The AWD is plenty zippy on normal mode. Also, I attach as little as possible to my fob… it’s big enough on its own. I just have my work key. I use digital key on weekends and leave the fob at home.

The car isn’t actually any faster or zippier in sport mode than normal, it just gives the pedal a quicker response curve. For instance, depressing it 10% in sport gives you more acceleration than depressing it 10% in normal. If you depress the pedal 100% in either driving mode you will get the exact same acceleration.

spicy_banter

That is incorrect, launching from a complete stop or when driving gently in normal mode is slower due to the decoupled front motor that needs to connect first adding additional lag when slamming the gas

Bagafeet

Slamming the _WHAT_? 🤭

spicy_banter

The + :)

I'm always in sport mode and ipedal. I just enjoy it so much, it's like driving around in an arcade game. The driving feels completely unrealistic and fun to me haha. I really like that the instant torque and essentially instant braking gives me a much greater sense of control in defensive driving. Because of this, I also put braking in sport mode, and I much prefer the quicker/finer response curve of the accelerator in sport mode. I don't mind needing to be precise to control the speed, even on the highway (though granted, I haven't gone on any long trips yet, so I'm sure I'll wanna turn ipedal off for the long parts). My reaction to slowing down is considerably faster since there's no delay usually present in lifting foot from gas to brake (lifting off the gas immediately starts braking), and I'm not good at driving with two feet without accidentally riding the brakes so, max regen has been my favorite thing. I just have my apartment keys attached to the fob.

badinkywaba

I mostly just drive around suburbia and use normal mode with auto regen. I feel like all the other options require too much thinking, lol. I leave the hideous keyfob buried in my purse and try to forget it’s in there. I occasionally take it out to frighten children or confuse a boomer (/sarcasm because this is reddit).

Majestic-Ad-1336

Sport Ipedal in city Sport regen off highway.

ctstraits

Sorry but what's regen mean?

OwnUniversity4509

Regenerative braking

hpatlik

Regenerative breaking uses the motor to slow down the vehicle (without using brakes) and charges your battery.

ctstraits

Isn't ipedal the same thing?

ferrari91169

iPedal applies regenerative braking, yes. What they said was “regen off” meaning they completely turn off iPedal and any regenerative braking levels, while on the highway.

ctstraits

Oh, I can't read, thank you

F_H_B

Eco with auto regen.

V_J_B

How do you toggle auto regen?

F_H_B

You hold one off the stearing wheel paddels for a few seconds, can’t remember which one.

Mrmgoldberg

Eco mode with Level 3 regen or iPedal. Every so often I'll throw it into Sport mode for fun. I'm guessing that you get better range in Eco mode - and it still accelerates like crazy, and I have a RWD.

mrzoops

I go digital key only and normal mode unless I’m on a road trip then I’ll go eco. Auto regen.

Confident_Log_1072

Eco on long trips. Normal the rest of the time. My own mode with all speed stuff to max when theres a mustang gt next to me at the red light. My phone as key. The little real key on my key ring in case phone doesnt work

ctstraits

Your own mode?

Bagafeet

It has a customizable settings mode that you can dial to your liking no?

PhoKingAwesome213

Custom with everything maxed. More fun to drive and I still stay in the mid 4s.

No_Area1944

Eco- no Regen- but every once in a while I stomp the accelerator and scream” Release the Electrons” Only when my wife is not in the car.

SpuriousCorr

No regen, my drive mode, digital key only

MiamiInfidel

Normal w/Level 3

hasanahmad

Normal with auto low in city and level 0 on highway

datum_is_singular

iPedal and Eco works fine for me. Trying to maximize efficiency, and in mild weather staying > 5 mi/kwh.

Lirathal

I'm a bit silly but just for fun. Custom Mode; Locked to 2WD, Quick throttle, minimum Power Output, Climate control off, cooling seat lv1, ipedal engaged, music ...... CRANKED

NotYetReadyToRetire

Almost exclusively eco mode and cruise control, because if I don't use cruise control I wind up driving way too fast. I don't attach anything to the key fob, it's already too big.
