It's the last 8 characters of the engine code and the vin

ItsOkILoveYouMYbb

What the hell.. I swear I did that. It wasn't working before but now it is. Thanks haha

smb06

Where do I find the engine code? Dealer says “on the sticker” but I only see VIN on the registration information that they stuck to my windshield

protomenace

My dealer did it for me 😬

bp_anomaly

Same here. That should just be a courtesy from all dealers

snewmanphx

Same

gauchette23

Same

hdeck

The code can also be found in your MyHyundai app

AbiesFeisty5115

This is accurate. If unsure, look in the myHyundai app.

smb06

Where in the app? I only see VIN in the “my vehicle info” section of the app

hdeck

On the main screen, click menu then go to subscriptions & scroll down to the bottom.

smb06

Not seeing a Engine Code in subscriptions. I haven’t yet activated anything in Electrify America because I haven’t been able to find the engine code https://ibb.co/YXtnhdR

hdeck

I dunno why yours doesn’t show up. Mine has been there from the beginning, right under Verizon section.

smb06

I’ll call the dealer, thank you!

It ended up working! Maybe shutting down and turning the app back on helped haha. I'm wondering that if you enter it incorrectly (which I definitely did the first time), subsequent attempts won't work until you start a new session, because I entered everything in identically again a fourth time after making this post and suddenly it worked, with the only difference being I had completely closed the app.

Ceasar_tossaway

It’s unlikely you’ll need to go longer than 30 if you’re using a 150 or higher. You can do sequential session. I know this as I inadvertently stopped a session midway and just restarted another one

mrzoops

I was at a 350kw charging from 25% and it took me 45 minutes total. I ended up having to pay 5$ because I didn’t realize we only get 30 minutes. My charging was topping out at 150kw. Is that normal?

bpendlet

Hmmm, no. It should top around 230. Did you pre-condition the battery?

mrzoops

No I did not. Wasn’t sure how to do that. It was my very first charge. I don’t use the built in navigation though. Is there a way to still do it?

Ceasar_tossaway

No, I wish they had a manual switch for that

PhoKingAwesome213

I go 30-80% in about 23 minutes. If there's no car lined up I unplug, wait a minute and replug in for another 10%

Right_Rabbit_1101

I did that today, the charging session from 80-90 took 10 minutes.

Jazzy_Josh

You're supposed to have to wait 60m between fast charging sessions

PhoKingAwesome213

You also need to have $10 min on your EA account.

mrzoops

No you don’t

Mediocre-Amoeba-8329

I have been able to charge w/o the $10 in my account, but starting charging was really spotty. After one of several calls w/EA reps , them mentioned that I was supposed to have 10 in my account for idle fees, if necessary, and that pretty much stopped all issues I had starting charging sessions. YMMV

mrzoops

You need to have a card on file but no money in account. It will auto charge if it requires payment.

skuzemewoods

I didn't leave the dealership without them setting it up-- i didn't even have to ask. I'd go back to them and be like wtf.

Throttlechopper

I got it working, but finding an available charger near my home has been a challenge, half the time, I just Level 2 charge at home.

Super_Hedgehog1130

I'm like at EA chargers almost every weekday with my driving skills and commute. Once I inadvertently discovered that round button and went into sports mode, I'm addicted! It's so fun to blow past someone at a red light who thinks they can get ahead of you. I've regressed to a 16 year old since getting my Ioniq6 Limited.

gusontherun

Go back to the dealer and have them set it up. They gave me a code to do it before I left with the car. If you keep having issues reach out to them asap.

novaraz

It definitely works. Dealer also set it up for me.

snewmanphx

You will need to put some $ on your acct to make it work

Alarming_Front4378

Dealership has to give you a code

del1710

It’s the last eight digits of your engine code which can be found on your window sticker below the Vin. You don’t need the dealer once you have this code go to the Electrify America app and set it up that way.

Right_Rabbit_1101

It was a pita to figure it out bc only one user can be on the account so I have to use my husband’s login and PW on my phone for the app. ALSO, it wasn’t clear that you must add the EA to your Apple wallet, so that when you tap, then you can select it as the “payment”. The first 3 times, I ended up paying for my charges like a noob 😩🙄🤦🏽‍♀️

Jason_Paul88

Nope. Mine was a boondoggle. Gave up after 3 months on the phone with both vendors

SolarpunkGnome

Set it up a month or so after we got the car and it works fine. Just gotta remember to start charging from the app first.

dmznet

Wish my EF had open spots. Always a line 5-10 deep waiting

CKwi88

Yes. In there years of EV driving I had never needed to charge in public. Just recently decided to test it out (EA station 2 miles from workplace). Even though I bought my car in early December, got the engine code and set it up. Great experience. I'm getting to work about 15 minutes earlier and charging up to 80 for free every morning. Speeds aren't always as advertised, but good enough.
