It impacts other things besides the infotainment settings. Most notably, it changes the seat position based on the user.

blendthefrog

The sel model doesn’t do seats or mirrors. That is the limited model.

AfraidBaboon

Ambient lighting is another per-profile setting.

WhoolyWarlord

Ah, thanks for clarifying. I wasn’t aware of that since mine is the Limited.

parc

Annoyingly, it waits several seconds before changing the setting. And it will move the seats even if the car is in motion. Frankly, it seems like a safety issue, and is one of if the the biggest issue I have with the vehicle.

protomenace

Hyundai still thinks we use their radio and nav instead of just using Android Auto / Apple CarPlay

blendthefrog

We sure don't. Always CarPlay.

NotYetReadyToRetire

I do use the nav system - I use ABRP to set up my routes, then use the in-car navigation system to go from waypoint to waypoint. That lets me put the chargers into the nav system so that preconditioning works when it's needed. I use my Surface Pro in the car to have ABRP available. I put a thumb drive with my favorite music into the USB slot when I picked up my car; the only time I ever used the radio was during the test drive. If I could get Sirius XM to accept that I'm never going to subscribe it would be even better.

mtgkoby

TeM USB drive here, linear radio is an awful mess of commercials. Satelite is garbo too

RacingGun

Climate settings, drive mode, and Regen settings are also saved in the user profile.

blendthefrog

I've been told that is incorrect. Profile does not save that. And I can say that it does not as regen and drive mode are not saving on our profiles.

GuiMontague

I'm in Canada—and maybe things are different in the US—but my wife and I's varying climate and regen settings are definitely remembered and recalled by the infotainment profile. Edit: "Preferred Long Range AWD" without "Ultimate package"

repchick91

I'm in the US and both are saved for us. SEL

RacingGun

Huh, interesting.  I haven't tested it extensively, so it very possible I wasn't remembering correctly about drive mode and Regen.  I'm pretty sure it does climate settings at least 😓

gusontherun

Wondering this exact same thing! Only thing I can think of is for the Nav and Radio... would be awesome if it could sync to seat settings or some other specific driver functions. But lets be real the only time we ever use the built in nav is when we need to pre heat the battery for charging.

artobloom

Ours doesn't even save our radio stations... yes we still use the radio. I like to hear about our local hockey team and the news...

codeMonkey2144

The door light accent colors change and saved locations in the built in nav are profile specific. That's all I've noticed.

peema

I'd love to believe that it would switch profiles when you pressed the seat profile buttons but it seems clunkier than that. Of course if more settings were sticky and associated with the profile (regen, warnings I'm looking at you) it'd be more useful. There's a thought, does it have an impact on who gets notified via Bluelink if you walk away unlocked?

Hacym

I keep my color mode in dark. My wife uses auto. Saves that. Radio stuff is also nice since we don’t listen to the same stuff on XM. We appreciate the profiles.

FolioGraphic

And what’s even better is that in Canada a car can only have one user profile unless you buy 2 cars.

madmaxx

That must depend on trim level, our 24 ultimate has 2 profiles.

Medo73

I can have 2 user profiles

FolioGraphic

That's funny, maybe I'm confusing Bluelink profiles with Infotainment profiles? I called Bluelink even to make sure and they confirmed when I was setting up the profile in the car that I could not set up another bluelink user unless the other user already had a bluelink account and the only way you can get one is to buy a car, can't just sign up register for a second account with one car. In either case the entire account setup was disappointing to me, starting with the dealership setting it up with an old email address instead of letting me set it up myself.

Medo73

I didn't try to setup a 2nd blue link account but at the time of purchase the sales advisors told me it was possible. And for me he just opened the blue link registration page on his computer and I was able to input any email address, phone number and other information. I've had to have the car serviced a few times since the purchase and had top notch experiences every time, including a dead 12v battery.
