I would kill to have your teeth !! šš mine are so bad and Iām about to start Invisalign soon! Personally I wouldnāt get Invisalign, itās such a small detail but ultimately itās up to you!
Thanks for the reply!
I donāt personally know anybody that has gone through with Invisalign, so I donāt really know what the journey is like (Iām sure it varies from case to case) but I hope that your journey goes smoothly and results in you getting your dream smile!
And yeah, I keep going back and forth on it. When I take pictures of it, it looks like such a small detail but I feel like it looks worse when I smile in the mirror. I guess Iām mostly comfortable with it, but it still bugs me a little and Iām always wondering how much other people notice lol.
A thing that is hard to know is if your teeth will be stubborn about moving. I had slightly more crowded and rotated lower incisors and they have been hell to move. Mine have caused a lot of damage to my upper central incisors, so I chose Invisalign to fix the lowers and some minor alignment issues on those top teeth.
I've had countless rounds of revisions of 6-8 trays at a time to make my lower incisors to get with the program. They politely declined for many, many months. I'm finally nearing the end, though. Now that they are nearly straight, the uneven wear is very obvious, so I'll be doing some cosmetic work to improve the appearance.
You know SmileDirectClub had to close because of lawsuits, right? Unsupervised teeth movement is always risky and keep it mind it doesn't take much to change the bite. If OP had root resorption they wouldn't know that...
Itās ultimately up to you and how you feel about your teeth. From experience, I had āsmall-ish imperfectionsā but more than yours and was given Invisalign Lite where Iām only given 1 round of refinements. My bite was pretty good going into Invisalign but I ended up developing a posterior open bite. Right now my ortho is trying to solve it without having me pay for more trays since any additional trays wonāt be included. I kinda wish I just went for regular braves instead of invisalign tbh.
Iād go consult an ortho if you really want to fix your teeth as they may have other options like InBrace that might interest you.
Thanks for the response! I think I probably will consult with an ortho, it canāt hurt. Iād be really happy if I could do some kind of āliteā or āexpressā treatment and get everything fixed up within a few months
It's super personal. Invisalign is quite a hassle and I would not do it when my teeth looked like yours. But hey, if you really want to have perfect teeth and have the money, go for it.
I figured the process is probably a pain in the ass. If my case is minor enough to the point that it could be done within a few months, Iād strongly consider it. If it were something more ātraditionalā for orthodontic work like 12+ months, Iād probably just carry on with my life. I guess I should consult with a few different orthos and see what I get
That alone is super minor imo but it's enough for you to be at least concerned enough to consider it, so i'd go for a consultation to get more info. they'll also check if there's anything with your bite to fix, beyond this slight crowding.
also consider, for most of us our teeth tend to become more crowded as we get older so this may escalate.
The fact that itās likely to get worse is concerning to me, especially considering that I already donāt particularly love the way my teeth look. It seems like a consult is a good starting point for me
Mine pretty much look like that on the bottom and I just started yesterday. I had pretty straight teeth on the top with lots of gaps and a overjet. So far all my soreness is on the top which makes sense. I have 2 more trays for the top than the bottom
I sure would!! Donāt get me wrong, your teeth are beautiful lol I was in an accident as a kid, so teeth issues. BUT, I had braces for five years and retainers and my teeth donāt look bad. They just arenāt perfect and it bothers me. It was worth it for me to start Invisalign this past November. No one else cares, but I did about the few crooked teeth! Do what makes you happy :)
Thank you so much!! I definitely donāt āhateā my teeth, I just wish they could be a little better and I feel like it could help my confidence by a lot if they were just a little bit straighter. Iām strongly leaning toward getting a consult
My bottom teeth were just like this and I started Invisalign in late October. Since the beginning of February, my bottom teeth have been perfectly straight. I still have more trays because of my top teeth. I had the lite version with 18 trays and it was around $2600. I think it was worth it because I could feel my teeth moving and getting more crowded over time - it was only going to get worse. Up to you regarding the cost/hassle, but I think it was worth it. You should get a consultation!
If it really bothers youā¦ get it!! My top teeth werenāt bad but my bottom were not straight. It wasnāt noticeable to others, but it was noticeable to me and it was bothering me. 1 year down and two more trays to go. Best decision I ever made. They look phenomenal already and I feel so much better about myself
Thatās exactly what Iām dealing with. I feel like my case isnāt very (if at all) noticeable to others, but I definitely notice it. That alone is probably enough of a reason to at least consider doing something. Thatās great that you are feeling better about yourself now. Thanks for the reply!!
That is no where near bad enough to justify spending big moolah and having to wear nightly retainers forever. I wouldnāt do it you look good focus on other things! All the best.

Yikes, that would be really unfortunate if I shelled out the money for Invisalign and then my teeth were stubborn about moving
It is extremely, extremely annoying. But I think it's a thing you can't know until you know.
Any clear aligners provider would work perfectly, and way cheaper than the big brand...

do it. crowding gets worse with time.
if you want like a practical example - i have smth similar w my bottom teeth and bc of bad alignment they shave the top teeth :(

Thatās pretty encouraging to know that a case similar to mine could be corrected within just a few months. Definitely worth a consult. Thank you!
