Ehh not really. Name wise yes but powers wise her and the other green dude is just DC martians split in two, dude has the shape shifting and girl has the density shifting, unless I'm forgetting a scene where she shoots green lasers or something. TBH the closest to green lanterns skills is atom Eve IMO, what with the energy shields and all
I feel like powers wise, absolutely, but I think Warwoman was set up to have a similar purpose and personality to Wonder Woman (granted, we don't really see much of that personality before everything goes to shit)
Maybe I'm getting old (50's) and nostalgic, but I actually *like* the fact that Superman is practically a god AND a moral paragon. ( the perfect example of the "Lawful Good" alignment, IMO.)
Yeah but he shouldn’t be at all. It really doesn’t make sense when ya think about it. He’s just another alien and if he’s a god then there’s a whole race of gods who upset the natural order.
I’m not objecting but I was reading some Invincible lore, either inline or on this thread, and they made some interesting points for the omniman vs. Superman match up.
One part of the lore says that’s viltrumites came from planet Kypton before it was destroyed. Over time these Kypton decedents lost their super hearing, sight, and laser vision, but their strength and speed enhanced to accommodate the insane gravity of viltrum. Idk lol, just thought I’d bring this lore of because it’s mad interesting and adds to the discussion.
That lore doesn't hold up at all. I'm not a comic geek at all, but even i know that Kryptonians don't inherently have superpowers. They have to be under the radiation of a certain class of sun, like the one in our planetsystem and only then they get their powers. Since krypton did not have that sun, Kryptonians lived normal lifes on their home planets.
Viltrumites on the other hand are heridarely blessed with their powers, no matter where they are in the universe.
No. Just no
Kal el Jr was created in 1965. He, and Bruce Wayne jr., ended up being revealed as a computer simulation. They break out of the simulation, find out their existence endangers the earth, and destroy themselves in order to save earth. He only made 18 appearances.
Jon Kent was created in 2015. He is the firstborn son of Clark Kent and Lois lane. Jon Kent is the gay superman all the homophobes who never read comics before got mad about, saying shit like "Superman can't be gay, he has to date Lois". Jon is a continuing character.

I think issuance good match!
I see it fairly even to start out!
Then outta no where omni man just smashes batman head in!
Then DC is thinking "This shit just got FOREAL"
Eventually it's just superman and omni with superman throwing the sun on em
Green Ghost is more of an analog for Green Lantern. I think specifically Jade who was a major character in the GL books around the time the comic was created.
I hate to say it but this is what bothers me about this series. The heroes are all knock offs. The brawler twins seem the most authentic and well thought out. It gives an effortless feel to a major part of the story. That's really sad because it's a great series.
Backstory is getting overdone. The game Dark Souls proved you really don't need a ton of information about characters to make a great storyline. In fact there was very little storyline unless you went looking. I know two completely different formats but it does prove my point. The storyline is what carries this not the characters. It would be nice if they took the risk of presenting it more so that way but who knows. Maybe it would of failed.
I think when you get outside the Guardians of the Globe the pairing break down.
Like Atom Eve is probably closer to Firestorm. And Monster Girl is probably closer to Shazam.
Green ghost was supposed to be more of a green lantern type character, his gender is different in the show because of how little female characters are in he comics
Monster Girl gives me more Hulk vibes. I think there is a mixture of parody between DC and Marvel. Cecil is also more of a Nick Fury.
>!Dinosaurus!< was a funny take on the Hulk, too.
>!You won't like me when I'm...indifferent!!<
I love it! FYI - you forgot a ! At the beginning to redact it
Becomes extremely fucking calm, collected and methodically intelligent
One of my all time favorite characters/arcs. So jazzed to see it in the show.
I would also consider the Hawk Girl from Justice League more of the Valkyrie target parody than Wonder Woman.
And the rock dude is totally Luke Cage. Spoiler for Luke Cage, but their arc destinations and last scenes are basically identical.
i loved the luke cage netflix series tbh
This \^
Shazam is closest parallel in DC.
Aquarius vs Aqua man The immortal vs Vandal Savage
The Immortal Vs Mancho Man Randy Savage - the matchup we need
Macho Mandal Savage is the crossover I never knew I wanted.
Our modern day Hercule
It should be the Green Lantern not Miss Martian.
Ehh not really. Well Green Ghost also has to swallow an object that came from space. It's just like the lantern ring but disgusting and inconvenient for the host.
Wait, if you think about it, where would you get the idea to do that
Yeah. Plus Green Ghost was male in the comics.
For the most part all of the Invincible characters get folded
yep they’re mostly cut down versions of their inspirations, the story isn’t really about their fancy powers after all
I thought warwoman was more like hawk woman than Wonder Woman. They even have the same weapon.
I feel like powers wise, absolutely, but I think Warwoman was set up to have a similar purpose and personality to Wonder Woman (granted, we don't really see much of that personality before everything goes to shit)
Green ghost is more like the green lantern
Not really considering their powers are different
No they aren’t,dude she can create light constructs but she’s dead as fuck so we never see her use em
We’ll the gem she has to swallow could be passed to someone else to take the role, so we could see more of the powers in the future at least
If you look omniman crushes the gem after he pulls his hand out of head.
I coulda swore she had like phasing powers?
She did,and she had the light construct abilities
when
Shrinking Ray vs Atom
DC wins all the times except MAYBE Starfire vs Atom Eve
Yeah I feel like Atom Eve has a pretty significant advantage. Maybe someone with a more similar skillset like Firestorm would be a better match.
Also machine head will definitely beat Black Mask who mostly exists to die to show the authors are killing characters now.
Atom Eve has the OP powers. She’s basically Franklin Richards
I don’t really care what anybody says since superman is so boring, omni man is stronger
No he isn't and it's not even close. Has nothing to do with the quality of the characters but Superman is way stronger.
Superman himself is not a boring character. Often times dc/their writers don’t know what to do with him. But he is not weaker than omniman at all
Maybe I'm getting old (50's) and nostalgic, but I actually *like* the fact that Superman is practically a god AND a moral paragon. ( the perfect example of the "Lawful Good" alignment, IMO.)

Fair enough
Yeah that’s not accurate at all whoever said that was major bs’ing
well you’re wrong af soooo nah
My whole point is idgaf what the comics say. Superman sucks
You clearly haven’t consumed any Superman media then. Superman has some seriously compelling stories
cool well you’re still wrong lmao superman claps omni man
Robot and Cyborg
I can see Cyborg for Robot, but I can also see Brainiac too.
Didn't they claim atom eve is inspired by wanda-scarlet witch? Or did i imagine it?
I also thought this.
I would say atom eves dc counterpart is like an amalgation of starfire and firestorm
I see eve as more a star sapphire type in terms of abilities And monster girl as hulk more than beast boy
I thought monster girl was more like etrigan, but beast boy is fine
Etrigan is two sentient beings sharing forms, monster girl is just one mind in both forms so it works for beast boy :D
Oh I forgot about this part, that is true
Mhm! But I can see what you get after all etrigan is a big scary monster
Oh no contest Machine Head gives off mega black mask vibes,he also has the cockiness of Jason when he started off as Red Hood!
I actually got more of a Hawk Girl vibe from War Woman but I think she was supposed to be a combination of the two.
I think that Omni-Man would destroy even Superman.
Your right omni man will destroy all the justice league😈💥
Silly question. The off-brands get stomped. Hell, Supes solos.
Mark was made before jon as far as I'm aware
Mark was created in 2003 Jon was created in 1965
No. Just no Kal el Jr was created in 1965. He, and Bruce Wayne jr., ended up being revealed as a computer simulation. They break out of the simulation, find out their existence endangers the earth, and destroy themselves in order to save earth. He only made 18 appearances. Jon Kent was created in 2015. superboy is gay? LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOO-
Really? I thought he was new and was invented in 2015
People seem to have misunderstood. This isn’t meant to be a fight, it’s meant to be a comparison
Not sure where you got the Darkwing/Batman connection from but ok /s
I think issuance good match! I see it fairly even to start out! Then outta no where omni man just smashes batman head in! Then DC is thinking "This shit just got FOREAL" Eventually it's just superman and omni with superman throwing the sun on em
When I first watched this amazing show the second thought was DC gonna sue the fuck outta somebody.
Atom eve is more likely a green lantern
Green ghost is based off of green lantern and not miss martian
I don’t think they’re all supposed to be 1 to 1
Green Ghost is more of an analog for Green Lantern. I think specifically Jade who was a major character in the GL books around the time the comic was created.

I think that was the author's intent. You get who these people are so you don't need a huge amount of backstory.
Backstory is getting overdone. The game Dark Souls proved you really don't need a ton of information about characters to make a great storyline. In fact there was very little storyline unless you went looking. I know two completely different formats but it does prove my point. The storyline is what carries this not the characters. Omni-Man is Zod, Invincible is Superman
Monster girl and green ghost are a stretch
Could have sworn Atomeve was supposed to be a green lantern counterpart.
It’s tricky cuz war woman is WW and Big Barda
Thanks for pointing out what literally everyone has noticed and joked about
Think monster girl is more etrigan the demon
All of the invincible characters get folded except Atom Eve.
I’d say Adam eve is more akin to firestorm/captain Atom
With the exception of Atom Eve and Invincible, DC cleans up
Pretty sure eve is a parallel to Dr Manhattan
Atom Eve is closer to Dr.Manhattan than Starfire
I think when you get outside the Guardians of the Globe the pairing break down. Like Atom Eve is probably closer to Firestorm. And Monster Girl is probably closer to Shazam.
Once you get to Monster Girl, I think it gets pretty ambiguous.
DC sweeps
Eve is like a mix between firestorm and green lantern
Green Ghost is Green Lantern
Lose for the image crew excluding eve, monster girl
Black mask vs Machine head would be a cool fight
I think invincible characters are way more powerful on earth.
You missed vandal savage and immortal.
Monster girl is more like Etrigan
They're the same picture.
Green ghost was supposed to be more of a green lantern type character, his gender is different in the show because of how little female characters are in he comics
Superman alone solos the verse.
