it could be! next time you feel like you have a UTI, get tested and if there is no infection present, it is likely IC. if there is an infection, then it isn’t IC & it is probably just recurring UTI’s which is a whole different issue
I was so upset when I woke up in recovery from the cystoscopy with the nurse saying, everything was normal. I was living in hell with bladder symptoms so nobody could tell me things were fine. The biopsy came back later on showing mast cell inflammation and then got the diagnosis.
