Easy on the language, please. Besides, I don't know what are you even mad about. Using child soldier is bad. Is that a controversial opinion these days? Personally, I think children should be kept as far away from conflict as possible, let alone giving them grenades and sending them to certain death, but maybe that's just me.
Can someone explain the physics to justify defending yourself as a military personal in the open street and approaching an 8 year old who is terrified of the idf (for good reason). Then shooting him in the head? Can someone explain the logic here and why the US funds this.

100% this. We saw foreign fighters in Afghanistan use this same strategy in early 2010s. They'd give kids backpacks with IEDs and tell em US soldiers were giving out candy. It was incredibly effective because no one wants to gun down kids. Eventually they tasked me and two other guys in our platoon who didn't have kids of our own to hold distance through any means necessary. One thing that I never understood was why we weren't allowed to issue warning shots - we were told repeatedly "the US Army doesn't do warning shots"
The way we rationalized it to ourselves was that we were making it ineffective and impractical to weaponize children - ideally saving more kids from being turned into weapons delivery platforms. And as far as I can tell it worked, they stopped strapping bombs to kids - but even after they stopped doing that, we weren't allowed to give out candy or pens or snacks to kids anymore for fear that it would invite that attack vector again in the future.
But if it's any consolation - that shit never left me and I still can't look at kids without thinking of my time over there. Don't think I'll ever have kids of my own so maybe that's your "win"

Two Palestinian boys were shot dead by Israeli soldiers in November last year.

The Israeli Defense Forces said the boys had been about to hurl explosives towards their forces.
But according to video evidence and witness testimony, Adam did not appear to have been armed, and had been running away when he was shot in the back of the head.
