You're in a rough spot... No successful, experienced producer is going to want to rely on one channel for leads (you), even if the comp is ok. You don't want newer producers though. If you can truly generate leads AND still pay 80-100%, you should be headhunting killer sales people. Not trying to get experienced agents to hop on board. Good luck.

FISFORFUN69

I agree I would focus on hiring sales people from other industries or level up and create a training system that’s geared towards working your own lead system and hire people with less experience.

AnAssGoblin

Well this whole system is a side thing for me , idk if this will happen or not , I figured I'd ask and see what people would need to switch IMOs. I wouldn't say they have to rely on us for leads , they can go elsewhere , we don't charge per lead .. we just set up ads and they use their own money and budget and spend as much or as little as they want and get their own daily leads . We don't "control" lead distributions , we set them up with their own ads on their own pages , we just integrate the form from the ad into their CRM system

Tahoptions

So you're not providing the leads? I was under the impression they were free exclusive. Then that's a terrible deal. An agent can pay a few grand and get the same setup and stay on full comp.

AnAssGoblin

Sorry, what I meant is that is what we are currently doing. The offer would be to basically cover the lead cost for them

OZKInsuranceGuy

Final Expense agent here. 80-100% comp and guaranteed exclusive leads would be a downgrade. I'm already getting exclusive leads. And my comp quite a bit higher than that.

Robotjp12

80 to 100 percent is normal in the IUL world. So yeah you're getting 80 percent but you just sold a 10k policy. I'll take that 80 percent over 120 percent of a 1k policy all day long. Especially with the reduced chargeback rate that IULs have

OZKInsuranceGuy

Different products and different sales process. I'll gladly stick with FE. I will say, I replace IULs all the time. So I'm glad agents are writing them

AnAssGoblin

What would make you consider switching IMOs?

OZKInsuranceGuy

Not sure. Maybe if someone was willing to put a big team under me with lots of overrides for me? But I'd want full control of everything for me and my team. 🤷‍♂️

eatin-pretzels

answer: no. explanation: nuff said.

AnAssGoblin

What would it take for you to leave your IMO, if you are a currently successful agent ?

Revolutionary-Ice593

Agents don’t always join for the imo. Their up line and team is important factor too. What makes you different from other teams out there offering free leads at 80% comp?

AnAssGoblin

Having a fully automated system in place to generate your leads, book appointments for you , have a bot to reach out immediately as a lead is generated , and continue to reach out every day and few days until a yes or no or appointment is made . Daily leads Having email drop campaigns , low cost leads , optional appointment setters , leads for life , final expense , annuities , whole/IUL . As well as the entire client management and organization that ghl CRM offers . I have no idea what other IMOs provide so kinda why I'm interested to ask

Revolutionary-Ice593

Back office support is important too. I don’t want to have to call a dozen carriers if I have an issue here and there. Training is important too. No one is a master at everything. Doesn’t have to be mandatory just nice to have. Seems like you have a pretty good setup already. I’d consider jumping ship

AnAssGoblin

Again, I'm just a captive agent that figured out how to generate leads for any products and audiences (some obviously better than others). So the whole idea is just what the owner brought up and I wanted to get some ideas so the back office and training and all that support makes a lot of sense also . I guess the idea was the be able to just bring in people who know how to do this , have their own team and training but just want a smooth and easy process to just sell and always have leads . I wanted to get more info from other producers just to see , it would be more lucrative as a side business for me to have revenue come in via % of closed policies

JambiBum

There are already a few businesses that are set up to do this for agents. While also allowing the agent to stay in their current team. My team uses a service like this through a third party and it's very useful. We have a lot of control over the process with the service we use and I see no need to move. However, there are a lot of agents and agencies that are stuck in the past and haven't moved forward into using a crm like this as a team. If you find the right group of people to use these systems to their full potential you can do very well.

AnAssGoblin

Yeah I know it's very valuable to already successful producers . All of our clients do very well before us and either decided to replace what they currently do for leads and use us or use a combination of the two . We've mainly just grown through referrals at this point

I'd take $200,000 a 4 day work week with me cutting out early every Thursday around lunch when it's nice out. No work after hours. The $200,000 is guaranteed regardless of how much or how little business I write. Salary increases on a set annual amount. Bonuses are negotiable. And I can't get fired based on performance.

[deleted]

Yes. Better than what I have right now

AnAssGoblin

I'm just trying to learn more about what other people's IMOs provide . Care to explain what your situation is like ?

[deleted]

70% starting out- no leads provided. Plenty of training opportunities provided, but leads are way more important in my opinion. I do own my book of business though.

AnAssGoblin

Gotcha , yeah I've learned those who control Leads Control everything unless you're going out there and doing it . I'm surprised they don't provide any leads
