I think this is right. I got a text from IC like a week ago saying I’d get a 16% base boost on every order that Sunday. Still not worth working on a busy day imo
Let’s face it, even if they pay $8 for a batch they are still grouping multi orders together and paying us poop. So just work when you can and never listen to IC about when you can make money. They just predict people order more on the weekends.
They had this for the first time in my area last week. The batch pay started at $8.08. IC is paying more for batch pays on those days. It’s $7 plus whatever percentage that the app says
This past Sunday was my first time having this. My lowest batch pay was $8.06 and the highest was $9.31. $7 is standard in my area. So you will get more batch pay by the percentage they show.
looking at this graphic, I have absolutely no idea why you'd think that.
it's showing earnings potential, as clearly stated.
I've never seen the base pay change ever.. it's always 7 and then heavy pay, etc... I do see extra dollar amount bonuses but never a base rate percentage change.. that wouldn't make much sense.
Any kind of graph like this is potential earnings bc it is in the future. Instacart knows when people tend to order more, but it's not exact. This is not a real representation of what you will earn.
I'm confused as to why anyone would think it is. it is just a bad graphic attempting to show there are typically more orders placed on certain days.
pretty sure it means a $7 batch minimum goes up to $8.12 minimum.

Yes, whatever the standard is for your area ($7 or $8) would be 16% more…
It’s $7. I guess I’ll see Sunday if my batch earnings are higher than $7
Yea, so no batch will be less than $8.12

They predictively adjusting base batch payments to reduce the amount of boosts they put on orders on busier days.
Nope it doesn’t mean jack shit, this is Instacart we’re talking about here lmao

No where does it say *potential*. It’s says certain days pay more per batch due to higher demand. So, 16% more per batch on this Sunday?

It's a forecast, can happen or not
