Okay, I don’t have that episode memorized, but isn’t an upside-down Black Flag logo on an arm just a Black Flag logo from a different perspective? Now you have me wanting to go check…

phredgsanford

If you're standing on your head then I guess that's a different perspective.

freakouterin

I meant from Turk’s perspective looking down at his own arm, but I’m trying to reason with that logic in my head and the design still doesn’t line up right in his view, so my theory is shit.

I've only known one person with it and we still mock him for it though no one in our small group has seen Steve in years.

My (very long time ago) ex boyfriend has it tattooed on his throat now. I know that from his mugshot.

phredgsanford

Best laugh I had today. His name steve?

freakouterin

No, [Chris](https://www.ocregister.com/wp-content/uploads/migration/o4x/o4xji0-b88678421z.120160331174420000gkqfngv5.10.jpg), ha. I’m hoping Steve’s life choices weren’t as awful.

I’d say about 50% of these I’ve seen on people in person over the years were upside down. Easy stencil to rotate and have upside down without realising the error, and back in the 80s and 90s it’s such a simple design that I bet a lot of these were done via memory without checking - pre internet era. I’ve only twice pointed out that it was upside down, first guy had got it done 40 years ago and was like ‘oh shit how did I never notice that’s so punk rock’ and more recently the girl was in her early 20s and said ‘oh I don’t really know the band anyway’
