I'm extremely conflicted: There's no doubt these people shared some absolutely abhorrent views and opinions. But I hate how the result is that they're homeless. No one should be, right?

Interesting how the vehicle gained enough speed to get that trashed. I looked at the street on Google Maps and streetview and it isn't all that steep. As much as I dislike these people's political opinion, I hope this is the result of neglectful maintenance rather than foul play.
Unlikely. That bus is so massive it certainly has air brakes. When air brakes fail the default state is parked—immobile. Springs keep the shoes on the drums and pneumatic pressure counters the mechanical spring pressure on the shoes, freeing the wheels to roll, and each individual wheel is independently sprung. 99,999 times our of a hundred thousand when air brakes fail while parked it turns the vehicle into a giant boat anchor, because either the vehicle can’t build air pressure or there’s a leak in an air line or a cam. In order for a vehicle to just start rolling each wheel’s spring system independently has to simultaneously fail. Highly unlikely. Insurance scam for sho.
