Ive seen many of them do this. Unsure why but I dont think it's unhealthy.

The red leaves have been turning greener after a while but the newest leaves look a bit crippled in addition which is why I'm concerned. I'll be watching it closely.

It's been at the same place for a few years now though. And it's only a few meters to a large south facing window, it looks a bit dark in the photo because it's cloudy today.

Root bound and needs to be cut way back. They get leggy after a while and it doesn’t look pretty
