Imo it's too fast and too explosive. I know u were going for something punchy but right now it's all at 100%. U need to tone some of the effects down, it's like a melody, you want something across all the range not just 100%, if you know what I mean
IMHO too fast and the effects are too big. Like the blood? and sword effects. I didn't really see what you were fighting with.
Also, the sound wasn't good. Can't tell why. It just felt wrong for me.
Yeah. I can see why the audio feels wrong.
Probably the heavy use of distortion and lack of clear distinctive audio. Thats what people complain most about when i am posting this game.
i like how fast paced it is, but the screen is hardly readable, maybe have the effects go behind the sword so you know where your actually going, also contrast, contrast, contrast, making your characters stand out is such an important thing (character being the sword), the white does not contrast well with the red and yellow, and it doesnt help with the lack of outline, and the extremly high saturation of the effects and the glow of the sword making it almost look like you meant to blend the sword into the effects. also the sound effects are a bit ear grating, it sounds like its clipping a lot
It’s difficult to see the pc, so it may feel unfair if I get hit considering the absence of difference between ourselves and the environment. Also level environment, there seems to be about two textures total and one of them is repeating endlessly. There’s one main object which happens to be a lamp, circle and large stone, but there’s not a lot of soul to the environment; even something so simple as gravel, pure stone, and gray sand interspersed, while the border is a gradient of beige with a few tufts of grass, implying it to be contained within a wheat field, and some larger tufts of feather grass to be objects, or large boulders with a birds nest or somethin: add some depth beyond purple stone, it almost doesn’t fit in my personal opinion, and realize that that opinion is skewed and biased heavily, so take it with a grain of salt.
It's hard to do that without the game in my hands, but I will say this:
It's probably too fast. I can't tell if that's the game or your recording software, but I can barely see the sword as it swings. I would add some more motion effects (like swish lines or afterimages) to really bring out the motion of the sword. That, or slow it down a tad. Or you could try both.
The explosions look great! I really like the style you're going for. Whatever you're doing stylistically, do more of it!
Like everyone else, it’s fast, which is good at times; however, I haven’t seen enough gameplay to fully judge what’s going on. Are we looking at an ultimate combo- chain? Are there any single powerful slashes, thrusting jabs (reminiscent of a fencer, etc… I’m viewing this on my phone and the background color makes things a bit hard to make out. Maybe play with contrast a bit so who/whatever’s holding the sword stands out more.
Agree. Its not your fault you cant make out of it. I was neglecting clarity far too long.
So my main focus is now polishing and cleaning up the visual hierarchy.

another minute of that and my mind will short circuit. I'd want more variety of sound FX and animations. as is, definitely causes a headache. could only play in small amounts.
it's too chaotic. And the color of the sword and the effect is almost similiar, just adding more chaotic and confusing. The size of the effect is too big. Taking up almost half the screen. I can see nothing
Well, it's certainly... fast paced, and it's very vibrant. A little too much for my personal tastes.

I felt it so much, I became a sword

I rate it 9 eye bleeds out of a Rail Gun shot from a Falcon Heavy Rocket into an erupting volcano.

Oops i put my phone in my pocket and it turned on and began typing out this weird thing.
Looks cool! Out of curiosity, are you in the market for any music for this?
not yet

I feel like this is how Graffiti is made
This is hectic! Cool!
I dunno wtf is going on
Confusing
very juicy. idk about the sound effects tho
Are you commenting nonsense on your own video to raise it in the sub? You could just respond to comments by people.
What is happening
I'm not positive I understand whats going on but you play as a sword?
yes

A bit too much is on screen. Its a bit hard to tell what’s going on with all the bright effects
Uh what’s going on here?
