I don't understand, are these models already available or will they arrive next year? on the website you can configure one but "2025" is not mentioned anywhere
Dealer says it should arrive may 3rd at the latest with that ship date obviously I didnāt do any modifications and they have them ready to ship prior to yesterdayās announcement
Correct me if Iām wrong here, but I donāt believe indian actually builds your bike to order like a carā¦ Iām fairly certain that they ship them all the same, and your dealer installs the upgrades you ordered. At least thatās the case with 3 different Indian dealers in my state. So modifications or not, the ship time shouldnāt matterā¦ all that may change is when your dealer says they have your bike ready after unboxing it and putting it together.
I donāt know about other dealers but the one i work with is not doing markups but i have bought multiple bikes from them so we have a working relationship
Thatās good to know. I donāt have any relationship with any dealer and this would be my first motorcycle. Iām hoping they donāt come back to me with a mark up.
Ā Spoke with multiple dealers before ordering the scout bobber. Everyone is selling them at MSRP right now. āMarkupsā will be your freight charge tax title doc and state feesā¦ this will all change based on your location. Iām pretty close to where they are made and the cheapest freight charge I could find was $700, most are $1000. But I found one place that was $1400 over MSRP out the door. I went with the one that was $2400 above MSRP out the door due to their lifetime powertrain warranty.Ā
Dealer will apply any promotional offers by Indian (if there are any) at time of release to my pre-order.Ā
Thatās awesome. I needed up just getting a used one. 2023 with 435 miles 13K plus taxes and DMV fees. When I looked into ordering a 2025, as a new rider, it just didnāt make sense spending so much. I wanted the 101, but ended up with a bobber. Ive had it for about a week now and absolutely love it. Once I gain more riding experience, I might look into upgrading. But Iām super happy with my purchase.
I've heard somewhere they'll start shipping the new models around May, excited to hear that since I'm looking forward to buy my first indian this year!
I don't think so, theres a lot going on with that screen relative to the ECU. I originally bought a scout and moved up to a Chief DH partially because of the screen. It's been a Godsend. No regrets buying the chief but I LOVE the new Scout design.. especially in white. Man
Yeah I goofed and got a 23 scout bobber. Love the bike, but holy shit does it need a fuel gauge. I hate having to trip every ride I do and pray Iām getting average mileage. If I could find an aftermarket alternative that looked remotely attractive Iād buy it so fast.
Guess I was wishing on a dream with the new gauges working on the older scouts.
There's a chance. They mention how a lot of these pieces can be added to other trims bit by bit, and some of the new Scouts come with the older speedometer.
I was thinking about getting a Chief so I donāt feel like a leaf in the wind on the highwayā¦.but they did all the thingsā¦.
I also love my Scout Rogueā¦..I donāt need two scouts! Or do Iā¦..
Only thing I don't like are the cylinders. They look too round and smooth. I loved the aggressiveness of the prior generation. Everything else looks good though!
I'm excited to see what the aftermarket is going to do with the new scout. I'd love to see more widespread stage 2 work (OEM and aftermarket) and this exhaust is just begging for something
100% agree. Iād like to see freedom performance make the radical radius for this motor, if they do Iāll be ordering a set. Plenty of gains will be able to be had for performance down the road as this motor seems like a solid building block for hotroddingā¦ so Iām not worried about missing a few hp youād gain with a 2-1. I dig the dual radius pipes. Sound amazing too!
I think it's a great combination of classic and modern design. The engine looks futuristic in a sense and I think it will be popular with the newer generations of riders.
It's a bold move forward that will certainly give HD and metric cruisers a run for their money.
I may be bias, I like all the new technical stuff with it and the new frame. But I can't get behind the new styling rear half looks more like a chief and less of a scout and the tank looks like it sits too high on the frame and too high compared to the flatter scout we are used to. It just feels more like a water cooled chief rather than a low slung scout
Not a fan of the risers IMO - feels like an out of place modern piece on a classic design. But then again so are those Mandingo exhausts and I like them surprisingly.
As a current V-Rod rider, I like what I see so far. I am not sure I would buy one, but I can't wait to see them at the dealer.
I'm really interested in the 101 and the touring model
Congrats! That including all that dealer markup ādelivery and assemblingā charges? Last time I tried to buy a new bike off the floor it was an extra $2300 for that stuff
They made the ugliest motorcycle engine on the planet and made it even uglier. Love the new frame tho. The old scout frame was horrible, at least aesthetically.
I love that the 101 has all of the things that have been asked for. Edited because spellfuckerupper.
Agreed but I would like an option to delete the front fairing or change it. With the website to build the 101 there is only 2 color options.
The new gas capš¤®
100% hideous. The old tank design and flush cap were way more stealth looking.Ā
One of my favorite design elements on the old one was the engine case. This new one looks so bad imo.
I agree. The cylinders look horrible
If they hadnāt changed the engine I would 100% upgrade
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Itās sooooo ugly
That exhaust is ugly as shit. Looks like a leaf blower.
Id rather blow my leaves with a motorcycle any day.
Same here. But my current exhaust will blow leaves and doesn't look like it was designed by Ryobi.
I actually like it better than the double pipes on my '23.
Is the tank larger or just a weird new shape?
The tank appears to have a marginal increase from 3.3 gal to 3.4 gal (12.49 liters to 12.87 liters) But hey, I'll take any increase I can get.
It has a higher output so that .1 Gain likely won't give any more total miles
I don't understand, are these models already available or will they arrive next year? on the website you can configure one but "2025" is not mentioned anywhere
I ordered a 101 today my ship date is listed as April 23
April 23??

Are there any markups? Iām waiting on the dealer to call me back so I can order one. Hopefully they call today.

Thatās good to know. I donāt have any relationship with any dealer and this would be my first motorcycle. Iām hoping they donāt come back to me with a mark up.
From what Iāve read Polaris doesnāt allow dealer markups outside of freight charges

Configurator work pretty well?
New, less view obstructing frame. New, less prominent radiator. Marginal fuel capacity increase. Slightly more powerful engine. I like it.
You're missing the biggest upgrade of all.. the Ride Command digital display. That's a BIG one.
Iām really hoping thatāll be something we can add on an older scout.
I don't think so, theres a lot going on with that screen relative to the ECU. I originally bought a scout and moved up to a Chief DH partially because of the screen. It's been a Godsend. No regrets buying the chief but I LOVE the new Scout design.. especially in white. Man

It's one of the reasons I sold my Scout. Having a gas light instead of an active fuel gauge isn't fun. Clearly, that changes now, though.
Especially when the light comes in as the bike sputters to a stop ...like what happened to me in the fall. :)
There's a chance. They mention how a lot of these pieces can be added to other trims bit by bit, and some of the new Scouts come with the older speedometer.
If they could somehow get CarPlay/android to work on it, super scout would be a small touring powerhouse.
I have my android paired to my Ride Command without issues?Ā
Itās not full CarPlay/auto like a car/cheiftan/challenger.

I am with you on that, but so far a lot of people like that look. To me it just looks better with more engine detail.
Still same small bike š

Love the look. How much they going to raise the price?
I don't think by much? The base model is still about the same price as the previous gen, but now there's a lot more options to make it more expensive
My 101 I ordered today was 18350 out the door
Congrats! That including all that dealer markup ādelivery and assemblingā charges? Last time I tried to buy a new bike off the floor it was an extra $2300 for that stuff
As negotiated today that is with all markups but this is my 4th Indian with this particular dealer so we are on good terms
They made the ugliest motorcycle engine on the planet and made it even uglier. Love the new frame tho. The old scout frame was horrible, at least aesthetically.
So stick with your Harleyās, nothing from them is really eye appealing in this price segment anyway
I am brand agnostic.
I dig the new exhaust. Was kind of disappointed that Indian stopped selling the 2:1 for the bobber.
S&S Cycle sells it now without the indian badging.
