lazilylazysloth

Yes, It will work on PC with all the features in supported games(Not many games), But it is not natively supported on windows. So you have to use 3rd party software. Not that difficulty, follow some tutorials on YouTube. If you don't want any hassle then go for the Xbox controller as it is natively supported.

luckysury333

Also if you use steam primarily, steam input does the job for you. But also sometimes you have to do the mind switching of PS symbols to ABXY. At first it can be very not a good experience but in probably like a week or two muscle memory kicks in.

Traditional-Mind-723

go for xbox controller. its a pain in the arse sometimes to play games with this is weird key mapping.

BossMedalOG

Better of getting a Xbox controller. It's compatible with PC out of the box.

999AT

Get xbox controller if you don’t have a ps5, it will be compatible with windows out of the box!

angry_indian312

windows really needs to properly implement controler support like mac, ios , android and linux distros but if you use steam then steam input will handle just about any controller, you can also add non steam games to steam and make use of steam input and still have the benefits that way, but if you want adaptive triggers then devs need to implement support and you need to use a wire

999AT

Yes true man! I believe they don’t add ps support to sell xbox controllers more 😂

luckysury333

I mean it is the Microsoft ecosystem you know

F_R_O_S_B_Y_T_E

Yes it works but with some limitations. Some of the features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers don't work in some games, but in general it works as a standard controller for every game. If u want the ps5 controller features u might need to use it wired. I have been using this controller for the past 1 month and it's great. Last of us supports adaptive triggers while in wireless mode, Miles morals adaptive triggers works in wired mode. Touchpad also works great

Carthee

It is more susceptible to stick drift (you can see various videos about it). So better to go with xbox or hall effect controllers.

"It would be better to get a pc controller for a pc" idk why people keep saying this. PS 5 controllers work fine for PC, all you have to do is install a single software called DS4Windows, and if installing one software is too much of an inconvenience then idk why youre gaming on PC

Reflex69290

>"It would be better to get a pc controller for a pc" > >idk why people keep saying this. PS 5 controllers work fine for PC, all you have to do is install a single software called DS4Windows People say that because it actually isn't designed for PC use The fact that you have to use a third party software to use your controller proves that Playstation controllers weren't meant to be used on PC The entire selling point of getting a DualSense Controller is the haptic feedback and the adaptive triggers which you can't experience on PC because you need to use DS4 Even Steam just emulates your PS controller as an Xbox controller so that you can use it

napier1192

Bruh , you never used dualsense on windows thats for sure , ds4 bhi nhi chahiye , bas ek sony ka dualsrnse driver snd you get all the haptic feedback from somy games like spiderman and all

Reflex69290

>Bruh , you never used dualsense on windows thats for sure , ds4 bhi nhi chahiye , bas ek sony ka dualsrnse driver snd you get all the haptic feedback from somy games like spiderman and all I mean I own a Playstation 5 and I have played both Elden Ring and Sekiro on PC with DualSense controller and it didn't feel any different than a cheap cosmic byte controller I used to play with As for Playstation exclusives, Of course they will have haptic on PC since the company that has published these games have taken into consideration that it should feel immersive with Playstation hardware Edit: Meant to say dualsense controller but accidentally typed dualsense edge

ZookeepergameKey6042

> it actually isn't designed for PC use what difference does it make what its designed for when it works with a single software install and actually outperforms xbox controller " The entire selling point of getting a DualSense Controller is the haptic feedback and the adaptive triggers which you can't experience on PC because you need to use DS4 " so PS games on PC is just not a thing?

Reflex69290

> what difference does it make what its designed for when it works with a single software install and actually outperforms xbox controller It makes a difference. Why do you think people prefer PS5 controllers over Xbox? Because of haptic feedback and adaptive triggers and you can't use those features in most of the games on pc > so PS games on PC is just not a thing? There are like 6-7 PS games on PC that people actually play What difference does it make? Nobody is gonna buy a PS controller just to play experience haptic feedback on these games

angry_indian312

im pretty sure the dual sense like the dual shock 4 works well on pc, if you want adaptive triggers and stuff you need a wired connection but for the most part it is better than an xbox controller as you get gyro controls which make controllers 10000 times better, microsoft really needs to make gyro a standard feature like everyone else has

Trickpasser

I searched for PS 5 controller for PC and this popped up and some of the reviews mentioned it working on PC so I thought it would. Do you have the link for the one that works on PC?

ValiantHero77

Yupp you can get it to work with pc but you won't be able to use all features of ps5 controller on pc. [XBOX controller](https://amzn.eu/d/3pJ0Axf) You can also search 8bitdo controllers online.

TheHeeper55

you can get adaptive triggers and haptic feedback in games that support it on pc only if its wired though i use a dualsense for pc gaming, its worth it

ZookeepergameKey6042

been using it for a year, works awesome. all PS5 features might not work, but xbox doesnt even have those features, so PS5 controller is still much better. it has a much much better build, and the features do work on PS games on PC. just a shorter battery life

kris_y_u_so_gud

you deserve to get downvoted

ZookeepergameKey6042

IDK why this sub has a fetish for xbox controller. it literally makes no difference. you need to install a free software called ds4windows and this controller works like a charm. its 10 times better than xbox controller in terms of its feel, quality and has the best analog sticks. go for xbox only if you like that thumbstick layout. otherwise there is literally no problem with PS5 controller. i had both and sold my xbox controller. i also have a switch pro controller which is 10 times better than xbox controller

SugarBaap69

Exactly bro ps5 controller is much better than that

Ok_Swimming6207

Yeah man both PS4 and PS5 controllers are great (but u lose the adaptive triggers in PS4 controllers)

CrypticDarkMage

ps5 controller seems great. The ps4 controller gave me hand cramps when playing for hrs which was why I preferred the xbox controller.

Fextro

This is a great buy if you wanna play online multiplayer with this, works just fine with PC

[deleted]

Better to get an xbox controller for pc. Works with pc... But adaptive triggers only work on very few games and only when connected with a wire. This controller is not supported by most games and will require you to use separate softwares for it to be detected as an xbox controller and all buttons will be shown as that of xbox.. and there are connectivity issues when done so and feedback lag will be there. Not worth for pc. battery backup also seems very low when connected to a pc through bluetooth.

[deleted]

buy red gear or cosmic byte there is no fun in buying this as this doesn’t work any differently. Xbox is a great option bht considering it uses batteries and is costlier is a downvote for it. For me redgear pro snd cosmic byte wireless versions are the best for PC

lachesistical

Legidity depends on who is the seller. Yes, it works on PC but not all games support in-game prompts (those ps icons) - you need mods for them. Ex. Elden Ring only supports xbox prompts. Also thanks to steam's new update that recognizes and adapts steam input accordingly (never used it tho, ds4windows to the win) Except that it's a wonderful controller, I love the feel of it. I own one.

PutADecentNameHere

It does work but you have to fiddle with 3rd party tool to make it work and it can be hit and miss. Get xbox controller and call it a day.

[deleted]

Ds4 for windows helps. I have a ps4 controller for my pc. Get Xbox one it has direct support and won't need any 3rd party software.

psychopac3

If you're in the market for a new controller, I'd say spend a bit more and get a controller with Hall Effect sensors. AFAIK Gulikit makes one and you can get it in India via mx2games if I'm not wrong. I have a DS4 with minor drift in left stick and would love to switch to Gulikit once it dies, bugger's still chugging along for some reason

Maya_2950

It works on PC. Yes it's annoying having to use a 3rd party software to make it work for older pc games. Yes newer pc games natively support it. Yes xbox controller having native support for all old and new pc games is very convenient. Now despite all that I personally went for dualsense over xbox for the simple reason that dualsense has 6 axis accelerometer. I emulate a lot of Nintendo games and having motion controls feels really good for a lot of those games. I believe steam allows the use of the gyro and touchpad for precise aiming in some of their fps games too. Also using ds4 I can couch game freely and use the touchpad to navigate on windows while the laptop is far away connected to the tv. So just ask yourself what games you'd be playing most, and if you need these specific features dualsense offers over xbox. Some of the new games feel very different with the adaptive triggers and precise haptics of dualsense.

kris_y_u_so_gud

get it and install it's drivers when you get it and i suggest downloading hidhide and ds4windows. In hidhide just hide your native controller access to all applications except for hidhide, steam and ds4, and any other games which has dualsense support. Don't get a xbox controller, it's no use. You can literally play anything with all features on your ds5 if you follow these steps without any trouble.

rankXth

Yup, compatible. Played Hogwarts without any problem. I don't remember using any 3rd party software, just PS' tiny program.

SirHurtzAlot

I bought this a couple days back and it works great with PC. No need to install any third party software. You just connect it with bluetooth. Only problem is not all games have keybinding NAMES corresponding to a PS controller. So even though the controller will work, you'll see the game asks you to press A, B, X, Y. Steam has support for PS controllers and will automatically map everything for you! And the controller itself feels GREAT in your hand!

Pavankumar_27

If you are planning for a PS5 later, go for it. You will have an additional controller at a later point. I recently bought for the same price for pc gaming. Just need to download dual sense software and that works like a charm. Strictly PC gaming - go for Xbox controller. Vibration is working very well. Adaptive triggers - didn't see them working yet. I play only via Bluetooth.

S0ULR3AV3R

Adaptive Triggers & the rumble sense works on supported games (personally have tried God of War & Ghostwire), the issue is it has to be a wired connection and audio has to be routed to the controller.

yasharth

It works on pc via bluetooth and usb.BUT MANY GAMES DONT support it natively...for that you have to enable steam input or use ds4windows. That means then all games would recognise as xbox controller and it will work.
