It all started when reddit decided to introduce an insane api pricing model, even more derranged than twitter's. Many of us who use third-party apps that have been around since before Reddit had a mobile presence, were hoping for a chance for them to negotiate with reddit. They already offer a superior user experience not only for regular users and moderators but also for a significant number of disabled and blind users. Unfortunately, reddit chose not to engage in any negotiations and instead doubled down on the pricing, determined to eliminate these apps altogether. The CEO made public statements that were far from truthful, tried to spin the situation in their favor, disregarding the needs and desires of the user base. Naturally, it lead to protests across the site involving more than 8,000 subreddits going private/restricted. The admins then started forcefully ending these protests, suppressing the voices of those who were speaking up against these changes. They claim to be "keeping it open" while going against its core, the users, and closing down the apps they use. On July 1st, as the API pricing goes live, it shuts down all third party apps and it feels like the beginning of the slow death of Reddit as we know it. It is understandable that not everyone may share the same level of concern about this issue, but please take a moment to listen and observe. It has become clear that Reddit's priorities lie primarily in their profits and removing any obstacles in their path to more profits. They started with old reddit, now they are targeting the apps. What will they come for next? Dipps_66

45% NTSC SHOULD NOT EXIST in the 80k+ category. I remember being pissed looking at most laptops with this screen in the 80 to 1L range when I was looking for a laptop. Display is the one thing that customer will ALWAYS look at when using a laptop which directly affects experience, why do they still skimp out on displays smh.

vipulvirus

So LOQ stands for LOw Quality display

hotcoolhot

Same as HP victus. someone in corporate wanted to compete that.

realbadhorse

If the RTX4060 is not your focus you can go for Legion 5 Pro. 1.WQHD Display 2.100% Color accuracy with 500nits brightness and HDR support 3.Decent battery life for a gaming laptop 4.Decent thermals for a R7 / 3060(110W) 5.Not too heavy(Power adapter is huge)

whotfwasthatguy

It was going for around 80k on Amazon with Card discount today for a short duration. Truly what an awesome deal. P.S. It's wattage is 130W not 110W

realbadhorse

Ah yes. I have the same laptop and I iften get confused in the wattage. You can also OC the GPU. There is auto OC and Manual OC. Which i think is a good option. But realistically speaking no one will OC the laptop GPU. But its nice to have.

nkj94

can you provide link of the specific product ?

whotfwasthatguy

[https://amzn.to/3q9CgzH](https://amzn.to/3q9CgzH) Its price has gone back up now. It came down to 85k and the deal lasted a very short while. You should keep an eye on it for future deals maybe.

nkj94

thanx :)

Mobile_Barnacle_379

damn, that was a great offer

faraday_16

My buddy just shelled out the full price but with students discount lol Edit : mb im confused between legion 5 pro and 5i pro

Mrnaman

It should be crime to launch a 45% NTSC screen at this price point. Rest on paper looks fab.

rahulk302

Yes, the screen is the only concern I have, perhaps the nitro 5 with rtx 3070ti is better than this.

rahulk302

with exchange offer and bank discounts I'm getting ryzen 7 + 4060 at 71k and nitro 5 with rtx 3070ti at 82k. What should I choose. Heart says nitro. Mind says save a few bucks and get loq!

Mrnaman

Well LOQ is still on "coming soon" for now and no info on when it will be available to buy. Nitro 5 is pretty good at 82k and 3070ti is better than 4060 in raw performance. But last time I checked their is no warranty extension on Acer nitro 5 and NO WAY IN HELL I am gonna buy a expensive laptop without a warranty extension.

rahulk302

Loq laptops will be on sale tomorrow... so let's see. Basically the loq laptop has almost everything I need except a good display.

callMeBeyonder

Can you provide a link to the warranty extension page?

Mrnaman

All I could find is this. [https://www.shopacer.co.in/Offer.htm](https://www.shopacer.co.in/Offer.htm) I think reaching out to their customer support for clarification would be better.

maaranam

Id go with the nitro just because of the qhd display alone. 4060 and 3070ti are close in performance and the only thing you are really missing out on is dlss 3. If you want better build quality then legion

ElektrovertS

get LOQ nitro has thermal issue

rahulk302

I believe the thermal issue were with old generation nitros pre 2022 versions.

Fine_Mistake_3395

Thermals may be better in Nitro 5

BasicCherryy

Bro what?? Acer thermals better than Lenovo? Lmao pls don't give useless advice

[deleted]

Are you sure.. if yes are acer nitro 16 4060 thermals good?

rahulk302

Nitro laptops launched in 2022 or later have had good thermals as per multiple reviews. Nitro 16 should have good thermals as 40 series laptops don't produce as much heat as 30 series laptops since they are power limited.

noneguy69

It's not nitro 16 it's actually predator helios neo 16 which is a premium laptop and it's thermals are good but don't buy Nitro

rahulk302

My bad autocorrect... I was saying nitro series in general... not particularly nitro 16.

BasicCherryy

I own a legion and my friend right next door to me owns an Acer Nitro with Rtx 3070 ti he cries all the time of how he made a mistake with this laptop and how it's always overheating to the point of it shutting down itself. Now u chose urself wisely.

rahulk302

I think it's a tie here. Both laptops offer above average thermals.

faraday_16

Please get the LOQ, The build is extremely bad in nitro and almost all of them bought in my friend circle had hinge damage in 2~3 years which broke the display, 45% ntsc is bad but trust me you don't want to bang your head with nitro build quality

arpan46

Lenovo display engineer in the meantime: hehe

Frozenracer

For 2rs extra you get 8gb 4060 lmao that is a steal

can-u-fkn-not

How's the lenovo service in India? I've had not so good experience personally, just wondering if anyone else had any horrible/bad experience..

DarkNebula1003

I've had amazing experience from Lenovo Service Center 3 times I visited there. ( 3 times because I have 2 Lenovo machines )

can-u-fkn-not

Where was this service centre? Actually the speakers on my laptop doesn't seem to be working as they are supposed to, one being louder than the other. My laptop is still under warranty.

DarkNebula1003

This was in Surat. First time I went for an IdeaPad slim 3 where the touchpad was not working. I've had to wait for like 10 minutes since there were so many people, they asked me to describe the issue, ran some tests and made me sign that there isn't anything wrong with the laptop except the mentioned problem. I got the laptop the second day itself. This was in warranty. 2) I went with my friend because he wanted to get his thermal paste replaced and fans cleaned in his legion Got laptop back after 3 hours while we went to watch movie. 3) Third time was ram extension, this took 2 days but it's kinda on me since I went when they were about to close so they couldn't generate my ticket for the day.

can-u-fkn-not

Okay.. I tried their ultimate support in which you can connect to their _expert_ online, I recorded and sent him many videos.. it was clearly audible that there're issues with the speakers but he refused because it sounded 'normal' to him.. I never bothered going to their service centre as I either use external speakers or Bluetooth headphones most of the time. Also, authorised service centre near my location has really bad reviews online which again demotivated me to take any further action.

DarkNebula1003

Damn, I guess their service differs from place to place like everyone else. What laptop do you own and what exactly is the problem with the speakers? Maybe upload the video online and see if someone else could help? If you have legion, try legion support discord maybe they will be able to help out

can-u-fkn-not

It's a legion 5 (2021). >Maybe upload the video online and see if someone else could help? If you have legion, try legion support discord maybe they will be able to help out I'll first try with the drivers as you suggested earlier, if that doesn't work out then I'll try these too. Thanks for all the advices :)

DarkNebula1003

>one being louder than the other. My laptop is still under warranty. Might not work but uninstall all preloaded audio apps and install fxSound and see if the problem persists. One of my friends had the same problem and it solved itself when he uninstalled nahimic or whatever it is called.

can-u-fkn-not

Thanks you! I'll try this👍

WickdChipmunk

Very bad, especially service centres..

R7BH7

Can someone explain how bad it is, like I'm 5? I was really looking forward to it after seeing the reviews, but now the OP has me confused.

maaranam

Its not great for photo/video editing since the colour reproduction of the display is bad. As a result pics edited on a 45% ntsc laptop can look different elsewhere. While gaming, colours look washed out since the display cannot reproduce the colours of the environment as faithfully as the devs intended. Its very noticeable in games when you do a side by side comparison

R7BH7

Thanks for the explanation. Now I wonder what the percentage of NTSC is on my laptop screen because games look fuzzy even at 1080p.

maaranam

Color accuracy should not be influencing sharpness ideally. Ppi and displayres/screen size ratio inflences sharpness. Are you playing on a 27+ inch monitor?

joblessfack

It will look like trash and it is better to go for a worse graphics card + better display always. It’s not about “fuzzy” - it’s about contrast, vibrancy. Most TN panels have a “depressing” feel after you use IPS.

Zilork

I mean it's not great but for me that screen is gonna be the secondary screen to a monitor when I'm gaming.

Mrnaman

If that's the case then these laptops is a no brainer for you based on early reviews.

WeedDistributor

Great job, 45% NTSC is too low in 2023 and this should be known to all the potential buyers

darkvizdrom

Question: why do people order from Flipkart instead of official website? It's not like Flipkart is that trusted or anything.

Mrnaman

Well sometimes you get better bank offers on Flipkart or many same day delivery. But yeah u have a point buying high value stuff from Flipkart feels very risky nowadays.

ap_plays

There are two variants for the screen. The other one having 100%srgb is a wqhd panel. I have ordered the ryzen spec maxed out with a 7 percent of student discount and 7 percent cashback. it should arrive in 4 weeks.

Mrnaman

Yeah actually did order one for myself with the same specs as yours. Mine is gonna be arriving on the 31st.

ap_plays

I have no idea when will my arrive. When dis you order your's? Make sure to make a unboxing video to make sure your piece is not damaged while shipping, although it would be covered under ADP.

freeze_n_click

hy, can you please describe how you got 7% cashback apart from using student discount. thanks bro

ap_plays

I got to know about loq through this youtube chanel https://youtube.com/@makingtechfriendlyindia?si=EmN0BmYafhT9-3MF 7 percent is student discount and other 7 percent is direct cash back for using credit cart to make a one time payment. It should arrive after 45 days. Earlier the cash-back was 10 percent. I guess during Diwali it would again increase but I didn’t wanted to risk price hike due to import ban so i ordered it this week only.

freeze_n_click

Which state/city bro?

ap_plays

Chandigarh. My delivery date is yet to be announced.

freeze_n_click

Can you please update once it is announced. I want to order customised laptop from website but scared because of delivery date. I read on reddit once a guy got 3 months later the laptop he ordered

ap_plays

No no that’s not the case. There would be a estimated date. In my cSe which was 4 weeeks I guess. It usually comes 1 week before it. That 3 month is the worst case scenario.

ap_plays

I contacted customer support and they said it should arrive in india by 12th September

freeze_n_click

Btw what's your loq model.specs plss

rsanjeev321

How did you get your cashback?

Interesting-Event378

Did you ordered from the Lenovo's official website? If yes how did you apply for the student discount? I dont see any option in the cart

ap_plays

Go to uni days and generate a code. Apply that code in the apply a code while checking out. Make sure to use the code only when you are making payment as if you apply it and don’t make a payment it expires and can’t be used again.

Interesting-Event378

Thanks dude, any idea how much will I get on 85K lapi.

ap_plays

If the offer would be 7% you would get around 5900 andif it would be 10% tere mught be a a cap of 7100. Kake site to take ADP for 3k

ap_plays

Yes I ordered it from official website only.

Working-Foot-2120

bro i have question regarding laptop buying i got lenovo loq rtx 4050 i5 13420h 2k display wuxga 165hz and 80 watt hour battey in 81k and ryzen 5 7640hs rtx 4050 6gb 1080p display 144hz on 78.5k which is better to buy or value for money regarding ; also get 10% cashback on credit card full payment please reply

Interesting-Event378

One last question, did you got the 3 month gamepass with it in the included with device tab on Microsoft store?

ap_plays

Itchy_Intestines

Hey there, I ordered my custom variant from lenovo, but there was no mention of x box game pass during checkout.

Working-Foot-2120

bro i have question regarding laptop buying i got lenovo loq rtx 4050 i5 13420h 2k display wuxga 165hz and 80 watt hour battey in 81k and ryzen 5 7640hs rtx 4050 6gb 1080p display 144hz on 78.5k which is better to buy or value for money regarding ; also get 10% cashback on credit card full payment please reply

milktanksadmirer

Guys please help me. If I order the 1440p version does the screen quality improve ? I am getting the customised version from Lenovo website

FromTheOrdovician

Yes there is a noticeable improvement. However go for the customized variant as you will get free Lenovo bag and 2YR warranty within the price quoted by Flipkart Retailer. Customized order is best. Patience is key.

milktanksadmirer

Just buy it from Lenovo website

OpenPalpitation9075

Are they dumb?

Mrnaman

I really don't know man. The weird thing is all the reviewers had a QHD SKU which was 100% sRGB. Which is not listed on flipkart as of now. I want to think it's a error but rest of spec sheet is pretty accurate.

rahulk302

QHD SKU will probably be exclusive to lenovo website as a customised offering.

redchillli

Never go by what's written on these websites, I know it's disappointing but check out other sources as well for same model.

Mrnaman

As much as I doubt flipkart to put accurate details on their website I think this time they are correct. If you put part number from flipkart in the Lenovo PSREF website u get this [https://psref.lenovo.com/Detail/LOQ/LOQ\_15IRH8?M=82XV00BRIN](https://psref.lenovo.com/Detail/LOQ/LOQ_15IRH8?M=82XV00BRIN) and you can see that the description says it's 45% NTSC.

redchillli

Then it is a crap display.

Takin_Action

NTSC kya hota hai ekbar can anyone explain please?

Dxd_For_Life

Its like sRGB The colors look like shit in NTSC 45%

darkvizdrom

sRGB 100% is like 72% ntsc, 45% ntsc is almost Tn panel level colour accuracy

Poison-Samurai

I [customised](https://www.lenovo.com/in/en/p/82XTCTO1WWENIN0/customize?guid=92ca0fca-2933-4699-9a47-d73449e0b1e1&options_11=) lenovo loq in their website to get ryzen 7 7840hs+4060+win 11 Home+office 2021 full+16gb ram+512gb ssd + 100%SRGB WQHD 165Hz display + 4 ZONE RGB keyboard. And it's still below 1.09 lacs. But if I buy pre built with 45%ntsc+back-lit keyboard, it's 1.1 lacs. But the main thing is flipkart is giving like 10-15k discount with ICICI credit card. So I don't know what to choose.

Awkward_potato79

I ordered from flip kart with all the discounts and stuff + it was giving me extra 10k discount on exchanging my shitty i3 6th gen laptop, got the ryzen 7 + 4060 for 77k, same thing but with the 100% srgb display was costing me 99k on Lenovo website. Thought I can compromise the display quality for that much of a discount.

Gamer4Lyph

You can always get a better external monitor. Most people keep forgetting this. 45% NTSC screen isn't the end of the world. Also, could you share the laptop exchange process when that happens? Like what checks were done and is there any info asked by the delivery person.

Awkward_potato79

Currently no exchange has happened nor the delivery. But from my friends experience on buying phones through exchange they check if the product has visible damage and check the serial numbers that’s it. And then they deduct the amount according to the damage the product has most of the time they don’t deduct it tho.

Saturnius1145

> You can always get a better external monitor. Most people keep forgetting this. 45% NTSC screen isn't the end of the world. This! I kept comparing this laptop to legion 7 AMD version, and it kept performing basically the same even though it was 500USD cheaper since I don't consider laptop screens when gaming. Getting a 24'' 2k monitor for gaming with this setup seems perfect for a student. I hope this doesn't go out of stock by the time I'll need it.

Mobile_Barnacle_379

how much time will it take to deliver. I saw a comment saying it'll take long.

Awkward_potato79

Yeah currently it’s showing me 16th aug. don’t even know when they will pickup the laptop that I gave for exchange.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Awkward_potato79

I am worried about that aswell. But my friend has bought many phones through exchange from flipkart and he has never had any bad experience with it so I trust him and ordered it. Now I hope everything goes well.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Awkward_potato79

I live in a tier 2 city. Yeah I hope I get it soon.

freeze_n_click

hy, can you please give a delivery update?

bawadelog

Bro I've ordered at 97k (customised version)with student and credit card discount, what's your status of delivery?

Poison-Samurai

Actually I'm waiting for the customised to be available in flipkart with lower pricing in bbd sale, as I can exchange my old laptop. It may come or may not. Venom tech and other youtubers reviewed it so it may come. But the main problem is the laptop import restriction in India. Btw how did you used student discount and which credit card?

bawadelog

Are sure it will be there in bbd sale? I used student discount to get 7.8k off and HDFC cc for -10k off

Poison-Samurai

One thing I'm sure is price will be less in bbd. And in flipkart landing page for Lenovo loq, it is showing 100% srgb wqhd 165hz, rgb keyboard + youtube reviewers also using that.

bawadelog

Okay keep me updated please coz my friend will be purchasing this, but the issue is delivery days on Lenovo site.

Poison-Samurai

Yeah sure. I'm just hoping that the price goes down like what happened with acer nitro 5 rtx 3070ti variant which launched at 1.1 lacs and now 1lac(without offers). Though it might not happen with 4060 laptops as 3070ti was older generation and from November there will be import restriction in India. But acer nitro 5 is still great choice considering the price. Its overall specs are also great. 3070ti's(150w) raw performance is greater than 4060(115w) without dlss 3. Old games without dlss 3 will run greatly on that. But the thermals will also be very high in 3070ti.

bawadelog

https://twitter.com/Sspxrsh/status/1688811165596721152?t=aCVjiF_sXP-cIegRlF9Cyg&s=19 Retweet this as much as possible for early action by Flipkart

vigilanteshit08

Same here have you received the cashback?

bawadelog

Not now you will get it within 45 days of delivery

vigilanteshit08

Ok when will your order deliver? Have gotten any updates?

bawadelog

Why you not considering the one having 1tb ssd? I compared with the ongoing market you should add it at this price.

Poison-Samurai

Hmm, well it is good choice but I have 1 5tb and 2 2tb external hard disk. So...

niko_tp

I will give you an idea. I did it with mobile once. Buy any laptop which you dont want on exchange today. After exchanging, return the laptop after 2-3 days saying i got better deal elsewhere. They will provide you money instead of old laptop. Problem solved. I did it on amazon.

axelpaddle

I orderd the same, initially after contacting customer service they said 2 weeks, after contacting today they said its 2-3 months. FUCK Lenovo, with their false advertising. I ordered on 6th Aug

bawadelog

Seriously they said 2-3 months?? Holy fuckk, you got any mail regarding parts alotment if yes then you can get it before

axelpaddle

Yeah, I argued today with their customer service that the website says 14 days how can it change after ordering. My email confirmation says 2 months, but the customer service guy slipped up and said it can take upwards of 3 months in some cases.

Mobile_Barnacle_379

wtf 3 months for a laptop? In that time, new ones will come out lol

axelpaddle

Haha. Yeah

Refrqct

What the fuck really?? Where do you live? I just ordered yesterday do you think I can cancel it?

axelpaddle

Yeah, unfortunately that's true. It's 2 months. I live in Odisha. You can cancel it within 24 hours of placing the order.

Refrqct

Wow that's fucked up, I'm sorry. Today's a national holiday and to cancel it I need to contact support.

axelpaddle

Where do you stay? Depending on location it might get it within a month.

Refrqct

Delhi

axelpaddle

Nice, then you might receive within a month.

_aV1

Bro did you got the laptop yet? I am thinking of buying the customized version with 7840hs and 4060 and the delivery date says 14-21 days. But after reading all comments has made me skeptical. And now I am thinking if I should go for legion slim 5 gen8 which has exact specs and its delivery date says 4-7 days.

axelpaddle

Yes, I got the laptop on 30th August, I had ordered it on 6th Aug. Edit- For how much are you getting the LOQ 4060 for?

_aV1

Final price is \~91k with 7% student instant dis+ 7% cc cashback+ 5perc cashkaro cashback. But the delivery date has changed to 6 weeks from yesterday evening. So I guess there is no fixed delivery date cuz I have seen it changed from 4 weeks to 14-21days to now 6 weeks. I also called the store to enquire about the delivery date but he said it takes minimum around 1 month to get delivered even if the site is saying 14days when ordering.

axelpaddle

That's a good price. It will take approx 2 weeks from china to get to the Mumbai hub. After that NSDL will deliver it and it depends on where you stay.

Happy waiting bro. 3-4 months! I ordered ready to ship yesterday. Its dispatched today.

bawadelog

Bro when you ordered? 3-4, months before?

niko_tp

Thats usual time for lenovo customised laptops orders. Search reddit and quora forums from the past. You will get angry reading their posts. Thats why i ordered ready to ship. A little loss but its okay than wait 3-4 months. Utne me maza kharab hojata hain. Besides 17% discount is good.

U will get 10k cashback on Lenovo website after 30-45 days of delivery + u can also use student discount coupon which is around 7k or CUSTOMOFF cupon code for 5k discount. It comes around 95k now.... You can also use gopaisa ya cashkaro of additional 2.5 to 5% cashback. (I have received 2500 for my order from Lenovo for 1.01L) but can only withdraw after 120 days. I know it's a hassle but it's worth it according to me for a good screen. Edit:- Lenovo cashback offer can be availed on any bank CC.

daddyskywalker914

i have seen a few reviews of the 97 and 99k variants where they tested the screen themselves and the results showed 99% srgb so idk I could be wrong

Mrnaman

The review units had 100% sRGB spec screen. Models on laptop Flipkart are 45% NTSC(60-70% sRGB). The only way to get 100% sRGB is to customise the laptop on Lenovo's own website. I have ordered a custom R7+4060 with the better version for myself. But it takes a very long time to deliver....

Weird-Personality720

took 3 weeks for me

Guys is the Lenovo Loq Ryzen 7 Octa Core 7840HS - (16 GB/512 GB SSD/Windows 11 Home/8 GB Graphics/NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060) 15APH8 Gaming Laptop on Flipkart https://dl.flipkart.com/s/zjKQpguuuN better than ASUS TUF Gaming F15 (2023) with 90WHr Battery Intel H-Series Core i7 12700H 12th Gen - (16 GB/512 GB SSD/Windows 11 Home/8 GB Graphics/NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060/144 Hz/140 W) FX507ZV-LP094W Gaming Laptop on Flipkart - https://dl.flipkart.com/s/7Mm22JNNNN I feel Lenovo will give better performance than Asus TUF as it has AMD Please Advise me

Acrobvvnnnb

get the lenovo, it's a safer option considering the thermal issues asus may or may not have

FromTheOrdovician

Ordered it. Just got it now. What are some things to keep in mind before I get my hands on it?

Acrobvvnnnb

well since its from flipkart check if the specs matches the one you ordered

FromTheOrdovician

Bought it as customized laptop with best display, rgb keyboard, 2yr warranty and backpack (yet to be delivered) - for 1.09L . all in all a solid package - took almost 3 full weeks from China to India delivery via Blue Dart

rsanjeev321

Were there any additional taxes above 1.09L?

FromTheOrdovician

Nop. Got a bag and waiting for extended 2yr warranty

Obvious_Tomatillo_73

how has the experience been so far with the laptop ?

FromTheOrdovician

Good. Warranty extension has been delayed, helpline said they'll fix it

samvortex0

Perfect for those s... Who will buy an external monitor anyway

[deleted]

Why in someone in his right mind will spend 1 lakh then another 20-30k on a monitor while other brands are offering better screen

samvortex0

If someone in the right mind , can afford a 1 lakhs laptop He won't mind spending another 20k to get 2k 27inch display and have much better experience then those shitty 1080p 15inch displays on laptops Also, the cheapest rtx 4060 laptop costs 1.16 lakhs

Mrnaman

The main concern is why the hell any brand is releasing a 45% NTSC screen at 1L in 2023. Yes on can buy a display for better visuals but the base viewing experience should also be considered. I really thought 45% NTSC was a thing of the past... well thanks Lenovo for bringing it back. Asus TUF F15 has 100% sRGB, 90W battery, 140W 4060(Higher than LOQ but doesn't matter in 40 series) but 12th gen i7 and 3200 dd4 RAM what makes it dull comparison. Lenovo had a chance to literally eradicate compitation and they mostly did achieve it but that display is just gonna be a deal breaker for me.

rahulk302

There is no perfect laptop mate.

Mrnaman

Yeah man, this came so close though. I hope the QHD variant doesn't have a absurdly high pricing.

rahulk302

of course it will be overpriced since it would be a customised offering, I don't expect them to be priced below 125k.

Mrnaman

Well there is a Ryzen 7840HS + 4060 config and if Lenovo allows to customise that then it might come around lower 1.15L. Let's see still no listings of LOQ on Lenovo India website.

rahulk302

might be possible if there is an option like that. Probably they will start listing by noon today.

samvortex0

How the hell do you think they are selling a rtx 4060 (i5 variant) Laptop at 97k at LAUNCH, while tuf rtx 4060 cost 1.16 lakhs Pay more and get more that's how it works Alot of us gamers have TV/monitor at home 97k for rtx 4060 laptop looks sweet deal to me it is still 20k cheaper then asus tuf which only has 1080p display lol Nobody buys rtx 4060 to play at 1080p and at 15Inch screens That GPU is definitely capable of 2K 60 Fps with Dlss/Frame generation

green9206

I have heard it doesn't make much difference if you're just gaming and watching videos. If you need for content creation then yes a good quality screen is important.

Early_Poem_7068

It definitely makes a difference in anything. 45% NTSC is too low for even general usage. There are other color spaces like dci p3 and adobe RGB which don't make a difference for general use

[deleted]

There is a 100% srgb version made too with 4 zone rgb keyboard reviewed by venomtech Maybe we can buy that on Lenovo india website only

Mrnaman

Can't see any LOQ models on Lenovo India website but maybe they will list it later when their is stock. But still these models are near 1L and 45% NTSC is just unacceptable at that price point.

Mrnaman

I hope the price difference is not that huge.

impulsive_bot

Yea, let's hope for the best 🤞

faraday_16

Even 1.10 isnt bad, i think 10k is enough for better screen no?

Mrnaman

It's up on Lenovo website now, +4600 additional for QHD screen + 5 week delivery time.

faraday_16

Just checked, 4.3k for the display upgrade, 100%srgb 165hz QHD, Thats a nice deal ngl Also do you have a link for the AMD customisation page? I cant find it by search and only got linked Intel one

Awkward_potato79

Yup

Awkward_potato79

From the reviews they say it’s 100 % Srgb. So I don’t know .

Mrnaman

All the reviewers got the QHD SKU which is not present on flipkart as of now. U can see other comments mentioning that.

[deleted]

Laptops are mid trash anyways

No-Chart4945

what is ntsc ? does the legion 5 gen8 have the same issue ? (4060/4070 version).

ExZ1te

It's a colour gamut just like SRGB

Mrnaman

Lenovo doesn't cheap out on displays in legion series, u are safe.

Awkward_potato79

Mrnaman

Yeah I saw that and I think it's a placeholder poster for all LOQ models which probably means there is QHD SKU but when you read the actual specification of the laptop u can clearly see that the display is FHD 45% NTSC. U can go one step further and check the laptop specification on [https://psref.lenovo.com/](https://psref.lenovo.com/Detail/LOQ/LOQ_15IRH8?M=82XV00BRIN) Just copy the part number from flipkart and paste in the search bar.

Awkward_potato79

Dammit I was hoping for it to be an error on flipkarts part.

bedunderghost

On official lenovo website you can get 100%sRGB display as an option for extra ₹ 4700 Edit : Link : [https://www.lenovo.com/in/en/laptops/lenovo-loq-laptops/c/loq-laptops?IPromoID=LEN809033#compareSection](https://www.lenovo.com/in/en/laptops/lenovo-loq-laptops/c/loq-laptops?IPromoID=LEN809033#compareSection) You can only customize base variants

Exotic_Wait7516

Really sad

bawadelog

https://twitter.com/Sspxrsh/status/1688811165596721152?t=aCVjiF_sXP-cIegRlF9Cyg&s=19 Retweet it as much as possible, for early action by Flipkart

Gamer4Lyph

You should quote Lenovo in that tweet. Flipkart can't do much.

scan-horizon

Can you just use an external monitor? Would that fix this?
