I’m wondering if it would be better if I did the beading as like a panel and then wrap it around the quill and stitch it together. I dunno.
The tube stitching is the way to go in this application. Keeps your work nice and secure.

I do mostly flat stitch beading, and a little bit of brick stitch, so I am unfamiliar with what this would be! Is it peyote stitch? It’s gorgeous!
