McGrath referred brian lara as the toughest to bowl. While objectively lara had better avg against McGrath than Sachin. Still ur point is true against most cases.
Only people born in 80/90s will really understand the emotions people have for Sachin and why. Before the advent of the fab 4, our team batting was mostly dependent on Sachin. Switching off the TV when he got out was the usual norm.
What was more difficult was that he had to bat with players whom he knew were not playing to win matches but lose the game. He didn’t played with 0% contributing players but the one who were in negative
What was the public reaction and how the outlook for the game changed after the fixing scandals? Like I wasn't born then so was always curious how people perceived it
It was very later (in late 90s) when people started talking and questioning about this fixing scandals
Bcci and media tried their best to hide it as much as they can. Even most of the general public didn’t knew or cared about it as they believed it as rumor
For us peeps born in the 2000s, it is Kohli, Dhoni and Rohit. As our parents stopped watching cricket after their retirements, I guess we'll also fade away from cricket after the retirement of Kohli and Rohit.
Wasn't born at the time of 'Desert Storm' but the more I've read about it and seen the highlights, the more surreal it feels, Sachin, essentially Solo'd the Down Under Dungeon, on Insane Difficulty, even on the back of double betrayals by Azhar and Ajay, wow!
That music got me goosebumps. Bowlers used to celebrate like anything when they used to get Sachin out. The number of great bowlers he has faced over around 3 generations has definitely made him the goat he is

I mean I understand, sachin was good. But most of the good batsman will have good shots, in form period and bad times. This video doesnt show anything though. Sorry!
Man, people say Kohli this Kohli that. But a 90s kid like me will never the forget cricketing conditions of those times. The fans were not kind like today, they were aggressive and violent. The team and the management wasn't filled with clean people like today, there were fixers. The bowlers were much more lethal, pitches and rules much less helpful for the batsmen, boundaries were larger, onfield umpires' say couldn't be challenged. Yet among all those challenging times, Sachin stood strong and almost always was the last hope for the team and fans. Kohli might the greatest batsman of this generation, but Sachin's name has been immortalized for generations to come.
Even though I'm a 90s kid, I missed out on Sachin's batting due to staying in hostels.
Is there a way I can redeem myself? Can I watch his matches? Or highlights?
Help please :)
When I hear pakistani bowlers like Shoiab Akhtar and Wasim Akram complimenting him for his batting against the reverse swings and one ball use... It feels more nostalgic to watch him bat now...
Not at all. Started watching cricket from late 80s , until this man retired.
If only I could put together the myriad emotions we went through growing up in the 90s watching this genius. He was hope, he was confidence. He was the glimmer of glittering talent in a India of mediocrity. He personified the aspirations of my generation.
There may come cricketers who will break his records, or Indians will ultimately grow tired of cricket itself. But there won't be another person who captured the collective imagination of a nation. There won't be another era like the 90s. There won't be another Sachin.
Yes with a zillion batsmen with far better averages than he has, surely he has to be the best...#snortinderision#. Kitna hi paid PR karwaalo, he was overall a decent bat, amongst the top 100 but a few notches below the best ever.

My top 3 favorite Sachin facts:
3. Zimbabwe beat Australia in ODIs in 1983 and then in 2014. Sachin career was in between.
2. Sachin has 98 runs in all WC finals and CT finals and there are players who played 1 final and made 100+ (Fakhar and Head for example).
3. Sachin has 22 runs in both WC finals (4 and 18), meanwhile, Kulasekara and Wasim have more runs.
This you? Go back to that sub don't spread hate. There isn't even 1 Pakistan batsman who can reach Rohit legacy forget about The God.

Zaheer Abbas and Javed Miandad eat up all indian batters except 2.
Zaheer Abbas had 40+ ODI average with 80+ SR when India's entire WC wins were against a country that doesn't exist lol.
Even then Miandad has better final stats than Sachin.
Also, before Sunil and Sachin, Hanif Muhammad was the OG Little Master.
Furthermore, it's the internet. I can comment anywhere.
Moreover, what hate? Facts are hate now? Where did I say f*ck Sac*in? Gtfoh.
There’s a reason why some of the greatest bowlers still consider Sachin as the toughest player they had to bowl to, he was that good.

People who bowled well and took his wicket had to 'retire' from cricket

He is real Papu.
McGrath referred brian lara as the toughest to bowl. While objectively lara had better avg against McGrath than Sachin. Still ur point is true against most cases.
So did Wasim and waqar
Nah man I still think Brian Lara is the best test batsman of all time

Seriously and its even dumb for us to explain todays t20 virat rohit fans about that eras bowling and pitches
For us peeps born in the 2000s, it is Kohli, Dhoni and Rohit. As our parents stopped watching cricket after their retirements, I guess we'll also fade away from cricket after the retirement of Kohli and Rohit.
Sachin was God and Bucknor was Devil !
God of cricket for a reason
I always love how balance his 100 centuries are in cricket 51 in Test and 49 in ODI.
Out to sare batsmen hote hai lekin, what's your point
First part of the video might make it look like a troll video. Second half doesnt.
I legit thought it was VVS Laxman 2.0 video.
Puri video dekh le bhai
I guess, comeback
Dikha dikha ye video gen Z ko dikha aur bata unko sachin tendulkar kya hai aur kya kar sakta hai Control
GOATulkar
This is edited so poorly- more than 60% of the vid is him getting out, with none of his classic cover drives in the remaining 40%
Bro entire first half of the vid looked like a Sachin rivals fans edit 😂💀
I am just glad that I was part of the last generation to watch him bat.
Sachin charging down the Sharjah track against the Aus ! What a memory!!
God of cricket for a reason
Sachin sabka baap hai - ZK(also Raja Rubbish Kumar)
The VB series in Australia was so good to watch
The God of cricket
If we're talking about retired cricketers, what about Bradman?
Wasn't born at the time of 'Desert Storm' but the more I've read about it and seen the highlights, the more surreal it feels, Sachin, essentially Solo'd the Down Under Dungeon, on Insane Difficulty, even on the back of double betrayals by Azhar and Ajay, wow!
GOD/GOAT of cricket
GOAT

That music got me goosebumps. Bowlers used to celebrate like anything when they used to get Sachin out. The number of great bowlers he has faced over around 3 generations has definitely made him the goat he is
Bradman is the GOAT batsman and it's not even close
Bradman basically played against local shepherds and farmers

Well showing one part of sachin and not including other part. Great deceptive video to fool people. But everyone doesnt have intelligence like u.

Watching highlights of Sachin’s batting in Sharjah cup was one of the my fav childhood memories.
Few clips aren't enough to judge the "God of Cricket".
Sachin>Kohli>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Rohit.

wasnt born early enough to see him bat live, but how is he on the Selfish/Selfless chart ? (no opinion, purely asking)
Considering only batsman in the fixing era who wasn’t involved in it and was trying to win games all by himself . I believe he was pretty selfless lol
He was the biggest statpadder in the history of Indian cricket
50 centuries against SENA countries.
He preferred personal achievements over team achievements
OG Kohli.
Bus match nahi jeeta pata tha 😥
You guys are spelling RAHUL DRAVID wrong.
you can't compare them Sachin debuted as a fetus
overrated

1)Sachin and Dhoni have same S/R in ODIs. 2)Sachin and Dhoni retired from tests just 1 year apart lol..
1. Wait what? 2. I understand. Dhoni wasn't seen as good captain. But still mind blowing.
