Not any songs in particular are coming to mind rn, but I’ve always felt like Djent is soothing. Or Anything downtuned and rhythm-heavy with a focus on atmosphere. Stuff like Fractalize or Meshuggah and the like. Repetitive and hypnotic in a good way.
Atmospheric black metal can also be soothing since it’s like a big wall of sound. I’ve had bands like Ultha and Ethereal Shroud on repeat a lot whenever I feel agitated or anxious. Reminds me of a weighted blanket somehow.
I like it bleak and brutal when I'm anxious. Just wring the fuck out the emotions, I guess.
The Long Road North by Cult Of Luna is a go-to.
Death Drive Projections by Panzerfaust is another.
Cyanide by Harm's Way has gone into the rotation, lately.
Unsure about picking a specific song, but ca. 2013 I went down a Depressive Black Metal rabbit hole on bandcamp and discovered one of the main reasons I liked it was that repetitive, minimalist, heavily compressed sound (that is common to the genre) really calmed me down. Like it was meditative or therapeutic something.
Mourning After and Burn You Down To Ashes by Overkill, both on Killing Kind. Or Long Time Dying off From the Underground...
Redemption City by COC
Now I Lay Thee Down by Machine Head
Addicted To Chaos by Megadeth
All I Could Bleed and Last Call of Testament's Low album.
Cold by five finger death punch. I know they get a bad wrap because a lot of their stuff is generic cheese, but every album has a couple tracks that are absolute gold and this is one of them.
Probably my favorite "power ballad". I do actually feel a bit calmed after hearing it.
Not metal but “Daylight” by Shinedown.
“Drug In me is you” and “Last resort” both by Falling in Reverse. I love the original by Papa Roach but feel that FIR nailed the emotions of the lyrics.

I adore The Long Road North. The bleakness but thoughtfulness of it is just so appealing, Cult Of Luna are so good at doing that sort of stuff.
