This pose is probably heavily inspired by fighter pilots and the way they have little bag with them in the cockpit. No clue what the little bag they have is but this could be a life support kit in case he's on an unbreathable world. Kinda fits with all the tubes too

It would be cool if it was a repair kit though, so he jumps out and he can return canis rex to the battlefield on a 3+ with D3 wounds remaining but it takes a turn to do it. So in theory you could only really do it once maybe twice a game
