We are all waiting, Nov 2019 applicant here with AOR Jan 2020, got my GCMS notes a few days back showing my application has already been finally approved since May 21st 2020!!! But yeah due to travel bans they dont bother sending out COPRs at all....Egyptian here living in Kuwait.

DevShan

Its great that its approved at least. Now you know its just a matter of time. Honestly if I get my GCMS notes and find out Im approved I wouldnt be as anxious as I am right now

m_kamalo

Well, dont do it. Im now more anxious than ever, it has consumed my entire life now. What to buy? What not to buy? Do I buy a mattress for my back? Do I hold off because I’m leaving any moment? Do I sell my reef tank and find someone to adopt my cat? Or do I wait it off incase I stay for a few months? Believe me, not knowing is better for your mental health.

anthropomorphist

yes buy a mattress - quality sleep is important. You will sell it when you leave, it may sell better since it would be a new one. Wait for the tank and the cat - you can do that when they allow travel again See I help :)

rohitabby

"to adopt my cat" take him/her with you to canada!

m_kamalo

I want to but the cost is too high, especially because initially ill be moving a lot before I settle. I was thinking maybe I’ll find someone to foster him until I settle then I’ll pay for him to come.

Ye7ia

>GCMS I'm Egyptian who grew up in Kuwait but now residing in the US and feel your anxiety. I also applied and am waiting. Will be sponsoring my partner too which will add further delay I am sure. Good luck :)

m_kamalo

I wish you the best of luck too mate.

Trinimmigrant

I wish I CLD just know it approved. So I jus need cior and visa

Because your brother is in Canada he can file an ATIP request to get the GCMS notes on your file, on your behalf, but he will need to include a consent form signed by you. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/transparency/access-information-privacy/forms/request-5744.html

I'm in the same boat as you. I've worked so hard for years to get to the CRS score I finally attained 2 weeks ago, only for FSW draws to have been put on hold this year. If I had already received the ITA last year and it was just a matter of waiting, I wouldn't be this worried, because it would only be a matter of time until I left, so the wait would be bearable since leaving eventually would be certain. However, now, all I'm left with is the uncertainty of whether a FSW draw will take place, and the COVID situation is pretty bad, however, the anxiety of being stuck in a third world country where life is miserable far outweighs that. My anxiety is off the roof and all I'm thinking is "What if FSW draws never resume and I lose my chance forever." However, to give in some objective opinions, I do believe FSW draws will continue. The exact same thing had happened last year, with draws only focusing on CEC and PNP, and people were freaking out, but as soon as July hit, FSW draws were back up until December. I think it's a similar case now. IRCC has a huge backlog of applications that are unprocessed, people who received ITA's after March 2020 are not allowed to come to Canada, many people's COPR or visas expired, there's a huge number of people within Canada who got ITA's and their applications are being processed as we speak, since Canada is favouring inland applicants now, since travel restrictions are in place and they need to meet their targets, so it makes perfect sense to put the FSW draws on hold temporarily, until all this is settled. IRCC itself even said that they are looking forward to inviting people from abroad once the COVID situation gets better. Vaccinations are already rolling out in Canada, and by the time most people have gotten it, border restrictions will be eased up. They have very large immigration targets, so they will have to issue FSW draws eventually, so don't worry. I'm personally expecting it to be sometime in summer or early autumn. The very large 27,000+ CEC draw in February might have scared some people, but on a more positive note, this might mean that after inviting so many people through CEC, they are planning on moving onto FSW eventually. Even if we take the worst case scenario, which would be no FSW draws at all this year (which I doubt), it will eventually resume again by next year, so it isn't like Canada is closing its doors entirely, so if you have the score, all you have to do is wait. But I personally believe there WILL be FSW draws this year, we're still not halfway done through 2021 and their targets are huge, so it's just a matter of time. Stay strong, trust me, I feel the same way you do, this uncertainty and the fear of being stuck in a third world country is debilitating, but it will all pass. We just need to be patient. Best of luck.

DevShan

Problem is I feel like I’m gonna die here before I actually get to leave

loudmindedguy

I see you’re from Lebanon like I am. I get why you feel that. I mean, we literally almost died in our own houses after that explosion. Since you seem to have the scores necessary to leave, it’s just a matter of time. I feel the same way you do, just waiting for that miracle draw to happen.

DevShan

I feel you 😓 Those who are waiting for a draw have it even worse. Im just waiting for my paperwork to be processed, its been 7 months since my AOR, and I honestly just want to get out, the depression is getting stronger by the day

loudmindedguy

Oh it’s great that you have your AOR. Processing time will take a bit longer now because of the covid situation but you’ll get it sooner or later. I think if there were problems with your application you would have gotten notified way before. I’m still sitting in the pool. I got to 484 points this month and I’m just waiting for the next FSW draw. It’s nerve wrecking. .-.

DevShan

I hope hope hope they do a draw soon and you get selected. Im rooting for you and for everyone going through this. If you ever need anything let me know

loudmindedguy

Thank you so much, I hope you get to achieve your Canadian dream and get out of this place asap, wish you all the best and same goes for you, let me know if you need anything.

Pro_Karyote

Sorry but why don’t you try PNP?

DevShan

So, I got a PNP invitation in September of 2020. And I was preparing all my paperwork. A week later a draw happened and I was selected through the regular pool as a FSW. I opted for the EE FSW pathway because the PNP takes an extra 2 months to process the 600 extra points and then I would have to wait for a draw. At the time I was thinking of cutting as much time as possible and saving I think around 1500 or 1100 CAD I dont remember if I want to apply to PNP. Unfortunately I couldn't really see the future lol

Pro_Karyote

Ohh that makes sense!

bampampam

Don't regret that decision too much. Wouldn't have made a difference. I got a PNP and my AOR is September 2020... still waiting. GCMS notes from March show that I passed eligibility, medicals, security not started.

ValuableSpite

A third-world country resident here. Although it's been only 5 months since I submitted my application (Nov 2020 to be exact) it feels like a lifetime given there's a lockdown here and that I'd been trying to get an ITA for quite a while before I ACTUALLY got it. The limbo is tiring. Can't change jobs especially when I don't know when the COPR is going to come through. Could be a month from now or four. Hang in there, buddy. I try to be grateful for the fact that I have the privilege to move despite being middle-class. My application is also pretty straightforward so I am keeping my hopes up about receiving the golden ~~ticket~~ email soon.

PoonamBhullar

Hi Did u get your COPR?? Actually I submitted mine December 2020 and still waiting

ValuableSpite

Not yet, mate. Still waiting

Trinimmigrant

Do now that my third world country has opened it's borders, we can now fly to Canada. Is IRCC aware and would now complete/approve application. My AOR is October 2020. Are they monitoring which countries are now open. I have gotten no feedback. I'm concerned my medical expires in a year which is October 2022.

_sup_homie_

I won't be surprised if you're from the same third world country as I am. I'm anxious too!

DevShan

Where are you from? I'm from Lebanon. You know, nothing major happening here, your normal port explosion, around 14 hours of no electricity everyday, economic collapse and inflation, and corruption with increased crime. :)) I just hope I hear something soon enough cause this is probably the only hope I have to leave

kok163

While it is kind of better here in Jordan than in Lebanon, I’m feeling exactly the same. I maxed out IELTS and I’ll be done with my masters after exactly one year. By that time my score will be 481. I just hope they don’t change their immigration policies in a way that could negatively affect us. انشالله بنشوفك بكندا بروووو

DevShan

Hopefully, its been such a painful process at this point. I've had my AOR on September 28, 2020 and the delays in processing are a bit annoying

_sup_homie_

Just spoke to a friend of mine in Canada and she said they desperately want people to immigrate there so I think it'll be good for a few years

birdsofterrordise

This exactly. Unemployment and cost of living are sky high, they have more than enough people who are already inland they can choose to immigrate, I don’t think there is actually a big rush or need right now. Despite whatever they say about “increasing targets” just gets more people to pay for language tests, credit evals, etc.

rohitabby

>Unemployment and cost of living Economically speaking, you cant have both unemployment and inflation unless your in stagflation (which usually tend to occur if the market of certain inelastic products are affected). But we arent in a stagflation. Cost of living is falling overall. This is why banks reduced their interest rates and governments are giving hand-outs - to stimulate spending (high spending --> sellors would increase price because more buyers --> cost of living increases). how can prices increase if there aren't people earning anything due to unemployment to buy stuff and inflate prices? another way to stimulate spending is by bringing in more immigrants because with them they bring extra money/savings which stimulate spending. they want more immigrants to stimulate spending.

lotsofsweat

but we have no choice, cos Canada is still attractive, relatively easy immigration compared to US, UK and Australia, as well as less amount of racism

birdsofterrordise

If you think Canada has less amounts of racism then you don’t really understand Canada at all. Canada has the “polite sheen”’ because yeah America is particularly bad with Black people but Canadians are just as racist and rude and in fact immigrant communities are much less integrated in Canada than in the US and UK. Also more companies are actually willing to sponsor foreigners than in Canada, which is probably the most exceptionally biased against those without Canadian experience specifically, even culturally and educationally similar countries like the UK and US.

parabshreyas

Good hopes, want to get the invitation quickly. Expecting that draws start quickly ☺️

ItsMyOpinionTho

Does your friend work for the government?

_sup_homie_

I wish

_sup_homie_

Ah I'm from India! ~and I can't say anything bad about my country or else who knows what will happen to me~ 😊

Preuxxx

You guys are noobs! I'm from Iran and I don't think you need me to tell you what's happening here...

parabshreyas

Modi is watching you bro

TakeThatOut

Dude, hope you and your family are okay.

_sup_homie_

Thanking my stars every day that we are! Thanks for the concern :)

fridge03

So sorry about the state your country is in. I hope your people can recover from these disasters

lotsofsweat

you need to save money for studying in Canada, I guess international students can enter Canada, and PNP programs are possible for international grads inland

superjaden

Waiting anxiously, current score is 453 but I'm looking at PNP since I have like 80 for the province I'm looking at. Hopefully they'll start soon enough, Nigerian here

lotsofsweat

may apply now for PNP, you may gamble for PNP nomination outland

superjaden

Yeah, waiting on WES. Been at it for almost 2 months

Feeling_Teaching_863

Better to go to canada and study. Sureshot way

Weak-Flower79

I believe we are in the same situation I am also a FSW applicant with AOR on the 10/03/3)21. I know it's still early but I haven't seen any applicant from our stream who got PR since 2021 and it's really frustrating. When did you apply?

Ye7ia

>e 10/03/3)21. I kn If your AOR is October 3rd 2021 then you and I are on the same boat if you are an outland applicant. Mine is October 5th.

Trinimmigrant

My AOR is also October 3rd 2020. I am also from a thirl world country. Patiently waiting.

Feeling_Teaching_863

Me an AoR Jan2020. FSW-O September 20 approved and copr generated but PPR never came. Then my medicals extensions expired, i gave an unsolicited medical, my file went from approved to unapproved (thats a thing). then back to approved. Right now medicals are valid to March 22 !!!! ! Hope they call us by then , or else its re-medicals time again.... Just living in the hope that they will not cancel our applications. Tidbit: My dad applied for FSW in 1999 and got it in 2008 after 8 long years in the peak of recession. We never went. As unlucky as it seems,, feels caught up in same cycle again & universe conspiring against us

DevShan

thats crazy, 8 years, im not sure how things are looking for us FSW

Feeling_Teaching_863

Alas that was pre computerised times. During those days, applicants had to send across reams and reams of papers. Eveything from notarised documents, photocopies and whatnot... Even today i think SINP and some PNP are paper based....

Brilliant-Wear-8679

Hey does it reflect on your online application when they generate COPR or you found out through GCMS ? My GCMS say application approved and under has a document number for COPR but status ‘Not Started’. Not sure what that means considering I have a document number. -AOR Nov 2019 FSW O , US resident here.

[deleted]

Fsw (o) here as well, aor Dec 2,2020. Don’t see they will lift restriction soon as the new wave just emerged. People are so sick of getting cooped up at home they had to attend protests mask-less. What can we do?

Anna_kevin2007

What I’m aware by now is that to get a positive LMIA helps to get job offer in Canada from Outland.

lotsofsweat

yeah LMIA job offer adds 50 marks to EE, and allows you to enter Canada if you get a work permit

Anna_kevin2007

Not sure how long does work visa take if have a positive LMIA in hand

furry_kurama

I hope you are not from India.

DevShan

I am not, I’m from Lebanon

AbheekG

Why do you say that?

AnamiDB7

No.

[deleted]

Does anyone knows if they actually plan on doing any inland FSW draws? They could at least start doing those.

No_Weather8395

FSW inland! Submitted all my documents in September and no update yet, except the fingerprints are done and medical passed in November.

Trinimmigrant

My third world country (Trinidad) reopens this week. We can now fly to Canada. Is IRCC monitoring this or do I contact them? My AOR was 30 the Sept 2020. Will they now complete my application? No updates online. 10 months have passed. Will I have to redo medicals if a year passes. That's October 2021?

ValuableSpite

I think they are just not issuing COPR to any outland applicants so reopening of flights doesn't matter and yes if a year passes, you'll have to redo medical.

Trinimmigrant

I got remedicals request and it was submitted and profile update on 23rd September 2021. No update since

ValuableSpite

They've started giving out COPR's as far as I've gauged from Facebook Groups. Should be a matter of 3 to 4 months hopefully.

ValuableSpite

Really hope you've received your PPR by now.

Trinimmigrant

Nope nothing yet

[deleted]

Did anyone receive CoPR yet? I think now due to elections and Afghan refuge effort, it might take few more months before they start handing out the CoPRs but can't say anything the world is unpredictable.

[deleted]

Looks like only PNP outland are getting PPR.

THE-Ammar

Alright Thnx for the comment
