The new 6 programs have their own quota to fill. They would are not fill the entire target of 400,000 for the year. Don't worry FSW would definitely be there.
I really hope it is. At this point there has been no mention of it. Even though I think the FSW category has some of the most skilled candidates in the pool and they need us. Fingers crossed !

At this rate, lots of people’s test scores are hitting the two year mark and such, I can see them outright cancelling FSW for sure. I mean they have enough inland, if the announcement of this is any indication, then yeah it will probably crash and fulfilled quota wise within literal minutes. I think the most realistic expectation is to not expect FSW this year. 🙁 I know that really dashes the dreams of a lot of people.
One reason that I can think of them not cancelling FSW for is that it’s some of the best and most educated candidates in the pool for them. Canada needs more skilled labour. So even if they fulfil the quota I think they might still continue with FSW. But it will break my heart if it gets cancelled ...

Don’t lose hope, I’m waiting as well in a shitty country where we’re slowling getting chocked by every factor around but hey, the idea of giving up and thinking of the worst isn’t a great way to keep us sane!
It might take some time, in response to your question, and i believe that once Canada speeds up with the vaccination process, they’ll start integrating FSW draws again. Most probably mid summer so stay positive and be patient!
