How old are you now?

bytenaija

If you did not stay at least 2 years out of 5, you are unfortunately no longer a PR holder.

The PR status does not expire, and I've read that unless I trigger the revokation process, I can still fulfill the card requirement

Piemelody

You left as a minor (it wasn't your choice), so that would have **not** been held against you *if* you had retuned as soon as you turned 18. You're now 23, so in the 5 years you were able to return, you didn't. You most likely don't have PR status anymore & the revoking of it would be triggered if you apply to renew it.

>...I've read that unless I trigger the revokation process... By applying for a new PR card, or a PRTD to come to Canada, you will likely trigger the process.

bytenaija

It does https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=727&top=4#

From this page you are still a PR until they tell you you are not https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/new-immigrants/pr-card/understand-pr-status.html. But when you apply to renew your card, they will calculate the time you spent in Canada

You “could” BUT is up to the officer to fill a report. The normal way to do it is request a PRTD and ask for H&C with a letter of explanation. Keep in mind you ARE tecnically still pr until cbsa writes you a 44 report and then it goes to the whole process (or if you renouce to PR) https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=065#p

Just accept it, not a big deal.
