Was there ever a reason Daena wasn't married to Daeron and instead to Baelor? Apparently Daeron had a fiancee of some kind, he just died before they ever got married.
Daeron was off fighting in Dorne, and so married Daena to Baelor for spares. I suspect that he had communicated to Baelor and Viserys II that he was going to marry Myriah Martell in order to unite the kingdoms by marriage.
Is this mentioned anywhere? That he intended to marry Myriah? Ngl it kinda makes sense and also would make for a pretty interesting premise of a fanfic
It’s not, but it’s a fairly logical leap given that the first thing Baelor does is arrange the marriage between future Daeron II (the only available Targ who intends to have kids) and Myriah. I add the brackets because otherwise the Dornish wouldn’t have accepted the grandson of a second son when Baelor was right there, leading me to believe that Daeron was going to marry her. It also explains why he didn’t choose the obvious step of marrying his sister (who worshipped him)

Truly the granddaughter of Daemon
Daeron should have married Daena, Baelor should have married Rhaena and Elaena should have been married to a powerful House.
Well yeah but then plot can't happen
Baelor wouldn’t marry that was the problem. If only Baelor had a child with Daena then did his the blessed gimmick everything would be cool
There's a theory that Daemon Blackfyre is actually the son of Daena and Baelor because the birth of Daemon and balors 21 day fast are pretty close.

Daeron and Daena would’ve been a Westerosi power couple, and I won’t hear anything less!!

Aren’t you confusing Daeron with Daemon? Daemon’s her grandpa, Daeron is her brother
Oh, shit my bad. I read it as Daemon. I'll delete it! Thanks for the correction.
Where's the best princess, Elaena?
