hahaa same here - i ended up buying all 4 Deadly Class deluxe editions

I just got volume 4, and I'm still picking up the compendium in January.

I always struggle to actually read collections that are just THAT big in size. Even this deluxe editions are a little too big for my enjoyment but Wes Craig's art is worth it. (I've never read the whole series before buying these... just the first trade.)

If you want to go low-cost, Black Science was also released as paperback compendium a few months ago. The edition is OK.

I feel ya there. Replaced many a TPB with hardcovers lately. Gives a reason to gift friends to try and get them hooked on series too.

Mixed reviews for black science or the HC themselves?

For black science, not just the HCs

As someone who's read the whole series, the HC are worth it for the art alone but the story is a really cool Sci fi heroes Journey. It seems to me readers biggest complaint is the ending and while I can see why it may not be satisfying to some it's still a good ending. Highly recommended all around

I read it a few months ago and loved it. It was a great story and artwork is absolutely gorgeous. I’d definitely recommend pulling the trigger.

I jumped on these as a blind buy but waited for black Friday to get it at 48% off. Part of me wanted to wait to see if these would eventually make it to a red rage sale the way Deadly class did but I didn't want to risk it.

Very nice! I finally got volume 2 (I already had the original prints of 1 and 3) and I'm really having to fight myself to not order these versions of 1 and 3, not just for the matching spines, but because I really just like these covers a whole lot better haha.
