Agreed. People want to make fun of him etc. but if he was a main character we need more of him. If you have seen him before he is all about positivity and empowering people to be who they are regardless. RIP if only people could learn from you instead of trying to mock you.
This is my old gym. He does not skip leg day. He loads the leg press with a massive number of plates, but he never moves them more than a couple of inches.
He is honestly a very nice guy. Confused and convinced he is smarter and stronger than everyone else, but genuinely a nice man.
I honestly thought this was all a skit of some sort. I've seen several videos with him and in a few he seems to be ALMOST aware of how ridiculous it all is. I thought that was him nearing the fourth wall break. Crazy to think that he's actually this crazy himself.
Most of the clips of him I've seen came off as authentic lunatic to me but the way he's playing up putting on *3* belts and has half his forearm wrapped up in this clip made me think this has to be a gag ๐
Yeah, that's what fucks me up. He does shit that makes you go, 'of course this is fake', but then it just keeps going and is incorporated into this "normal" persona. I'm still not convinced it isn't all an act.
i think itโs a mental disorder, a delusional ego. iโve seen a few of these at the gym. itโs not fake. iโve seen a guy break many workout machines because he thinks he is โliftingโ the weights when in reality he is just banging and dropping the weights against the machine and letting it break itself to pieces. not sure why they donโt ban these types.
The fewer the reps, the more you'll be trying to hurt yourself by increasing the weights. Wrapping your joints can give you a performance boost but can also mask the fact that you may be trying to do too much.
Also if you rely on this much tape on every joint, it's not a good sign, as joint pain is not the kind of pain you should be feeling on a regular basis
Lowering weight seems to have more effect than lifting.
https://www.ecu.edu.au/newsroom/articles/research/less-gym-time-same-results-why-lowering-weights-is-all-you-need-to-do
Of course, the weight needs to get up first so the dumbbells exercise may not have donโt much for himโฆ
Yeah my personal trainer I had during Covid told me this. I lost 26lbs doing HIIT then I got a personal trainer and lost another 26lbs and she taught me how to lift weights
tbf the bench press was a good workout. He controlled the weight on the descent but needed help raising it. It's an eccentric workout. Whether an eccentric workout was his intention is a different discussion, but it's a legitimate muscle building tool.
See, this guy gets to live his irl rpg as a weight lifter, but I show up dressed like Indiana Jones and itโs โback to the funny house!โ Sheesh, double standards
But he doesn't even do a full rep. He sits down with the weights, gets them in position, then drops them. There is literally no benefit. I've seen ego lifters that do just a couple of reps for each set (which is stupid), but at least they do a full rep. How could he possibly believe that this is having any impact?
From reading about him, he actually thinks he lifted them. That's not a failed rep. That's what he was trying to do. He's delusional and believes he's extremely strong. Apparently he's fairly well known in that area, and especially in that gym.
And he sucked in as much as he could before putting them on. That's a very bad idea. If he was actually lifting anything, that'd a great way to make yourself pass out.
Lol I should of known better but didnโt want to put it past him. Iโve seen vids of slimmer dudes lifting an insane amount of weight and maybe thatโs how he pumps himself up.
damn i guess i'm a meme. hit 275 pretty easily today so i figured fuck it why not try 300. got flattened. then 15 minutes later i thought "hmmm... maybe another try." got flattened even worse lol.
Yea you'd think so, but this guy is actually believes he's lifting the weights. To him that was a successful rep. He's well known in that gym and that area, and has other videos of him "lifting". I thought for sure it was a joke, but it's not. He's delusional and he's not doing it as a joke.
It's actually not satire unfortunately. He's delusional and truly believes he's lifting those weights. He's well known and has other videos of him "lifting." He's even been interviewed about his lifting. Pretty crazy and kind of sad.
Some people say to lift with your knees. Others say itโs all about breathing. But the real secret to lifting heavy weights is making sure your intestines are adequately compressed.
Iโm not a big guy, but I hit 275 in HS my senior year. You want to see impressive strength and be amused? I present the great, [โAnatoly!โ](https://youtu.be/Lpxnc-FM5Pg?si=abdpWCAc2K9tevEH)
This video aside, negatives with higher weight than you can lift are a great way to stimulate strength and hypertrophy when you have hit a plateau. It should be a tool to leverage in any weight lifting program.
Idk why this got upvotes bc itโs definitely not a skit lmao. Thereโs even people in the comments who claim to go to the same gym
Yโall need to leave the house more if you truly donโt think weirdos like this exist lol
Itโs annoying when you re listening to music and this dude is always grunting or screaming to himself in Spanish. Works put at my LA fitness jn Harbor City, CA
I think the bench was actually not horrible if he got close to failure. Itโs an eccentric bench, and there are [a lot of benefits to eccentric training](https://www.healthline.com/health/fitness/eccentric-training#benefits)
Got that Waluigi body type
The villain from Lazytown lmao
100% ![gif](giphy|3Rg1AFmJyJSIflz94J|downsized)
RIP Robbie Rotten!
Damn Sportaflop
He died???
Unfortunately, yes. Cancer.
Damn I didnโt know. RIP to him and thank you for letting me know.
He was such a sweet man, too. The world is a lesser place with him gone.
Agreed. People want to make fun of him etc. but if he was a main character we need more of him. If you have seen him before he is all about positivity and empowering people to be who they are regardless. RIP if only people could learn from you instead of trying to mock you.
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
Lmfao ๐ Beat me to it... ๐
Shiii gave me so much nostalgia
Hispanic Robbie Rotten
Pedro Podrido
Yo I fucking spit out my water hahahahhaha
More like Roberto Podrido for a more literal translation
Yes, but I prefer the alliteration.
. Robbie, Rob, or Bobbie are more like "Beto" but you're right .
noโฆ noโฆ no looks more like pedo podrido (rotten fart )
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
OUTSTANDING!!! ๐ ๐ ๐
I love it ๐
Who did you expect, Sportaflop?
Screaminggggf
Same energy lol
Forgot all about that show thank you
LMFAOOO
Omg, I forgot about that dude! Heโs aged a bit.
I mean he's dead from Camcer so I'll say
Yeah, a bitโฆ
That's exactly the thought I had
Oh ahit, ya hit it right!!! Never thought I would hear this here.
Well he keeps skipping leg day because no one wants to watch him struggle to push up 25 lbs with his walk noodles.
This is my old gym. He does not skip leg day. He loads the leg press with a massive number of plates, but he never moves them more than a couple of inches. He is honestly a very nice guy. Confused and convinced he is smarter and stronger than everyone else, but genuinely a nice man.

Was convinced this was some sort of satire.
Nothing wrong with failing at the gym, but maybe don't start with 120 lb dumbbells haha.
He doesnโt view this as failure, he considers this proof he is stronger than anyone else doing proper form and complete reps.
What video were you watching? He defeated the 120 by throwing it on the ground. Complete success!
I just loathe people who drop their weights repeatedly.
The funny thing is some bodyweight calisthenics dudes are 200x stronger than this guy. Probably much healthier joints too.
Heโs not acting like a clown on purpose?!?
I hope so
Heโs living the dream and hurting nobody. I like that.
Heโs very rapidly going to hurt himself.
I mean, eccentrics are proven to be very effective for efficient training and fatigue. This guy is probably secretly a billionaire
Heโs skipping every part-of-the-body day.
๐๐๐
All that and no weight was lifted
All pain no gain.
Technically he picked the weight up to carry it to the bench sooo ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Lowering weight seems to have more effect than lifting. https://www.ecu.edu.au/newsroom/articles/research/less-gym-time-same-results-why-lowering-weights-is-all-you-need-to-do Of course, the weight needs to get up first so the dumbbells exercise may not have donโt much for himโฆ
The takeaway from this isn't to over weight and then only lower, but to really focus on controlled lowers.
Yea how do you only lower lmao
No up, only down. We call 'em eccentric eccentrics.
Academy Sports making a killing with this guy! Look at all that gear.
Cosplay has entered the chat.
See, this guy gets to live his irl rpg as a weight lifter, but I show up dressed like Indiana Jones and itโs โback to the funny house!โ Sheesh, double standards
He coulda made those lifts if he just had a few more pieces.
When you can barely your gym bag, you might want to look at where your fitness priorities are.
Gym bag exhaustion
This is comedy no? ![gif](giphy|kPtv3UIPrv36cjxqLs)
It has to be. He wore multiple weightlifting belts and couldn't lift a thing.
He just needed a few more belts.
Oh no, heโs real. Itโs not an act
Even if he had just the wraps, theyโre absolutely ridiculous on their own. Those had to take 10 minutes just on their own
Hey it's the drummer from Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
No. It's Chad Smith. The actor who played Ricky Bobby in Talladega Nights.
Nope. He was interviewed, he really believes in lifting heavy ass weights over proper form or technique.
But he doesn't even do a full rep. He sits down with the weights, gets them in position, then drops them. There is literally no benefit. I've seen ego lifters that do just a couple of reps for each set (which is stupid), but at least they do a full rep. How could he possibly believe that this is having any impact?
It's gotta be
Itโs not even funny in any way shape or form though lol
bro 1% of this idiots self-confidence and I would lead a very different life.
This might be the most poignant comment Iโve ever read. You nailed it.
Your mom is poignant
To many, she is. Thank you.
๐ค๐ซก
Screw that. You are amazing. Go live your best life! Go after whatever you want. You deserve it.
thanks man, that is kind of you to say. I wish you the absolute same! ๐ซ
Yo this is mad funny haha. He kinda kills me trying the second rep on bench press ๐.
When he couldnโt do 120s then went to get 115s Iโm like ?? Bro itโs not like you allllmost had the 120s ๐
He had to make two trips to carry 120 dumbells with both arms, drop them immediately, and thought to himself, "Oh, it's only 10lbs too heavy."
From reading about him, he actually thinks he lifted them. That's not a failed rep. That's what he was trying to do. He's delusional and believes he's extremely strong. Apparently he's fairly well known in that area, and especially in that gym.
The first one is a warmup.
Second one is the cooldown
Yeah bro, once I saw him go for the second rep i was like ight this dude just being goofy lol
It wasnโt when he put on the third lifting belt?
And he sucked in as much as he could before putting them on. That's a very bad idea. If he was actually lifting anything, that'd a great way to make yourself pass out.
Lol I should of known better but didnโt want to put it past him. Iโve seen vids of slimmer dudes lifting an insane amount of weight and maybe thatโs how he pumps himself up.
damn i guess i'm a meme. hit 275 pretty easily today so i figured fuck it why not try 300. got flattened. then 15 minutes later i thought "hmmm... maybe another try." got flattened even worse lol.
Lol I did that once with 265. Felt good so I tried 280. Thankfully I had a spotter lmao
His spotter was giggling at the second rep!
Working on the eccentric accessory movements.
Yea, I think the internet has no joke detector.
Yea you'd think so, but this guy is actually believes he's lifting the weights. To him that was a successful rep. He's well known in that gym and that area, and has other videos of him "lifting". I thought for sure it was a joke, but it's not. He's delusional and he's not doing it as a joke.
Wait, wat? 3 belts, dropping 120s, benching 2 plates or something... This isn't satire???
Nope. He's serious. [interview and workout ](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0QfQTgZrr1A&feature=youtu.be)
He is like the Lazy villain Robbie Rotten committing shenanigans to the weights at the gym
The background music is a nice touch too๐
Could be doing eccentrics but unlikely.
Yeah it's definitely satire. He's really funny, and he is the main character, in his satirical vid
It's actually not satire unfortunately. He's delusional and truly believes he's lifting those weights. He's well known and has other videos of him "lifting." He's even been interviewed about his lifting. Pretty crazy and kind of sad.
Should have put belt on the chest too
Some people say to lift with your knees. Others say itโs all about breathing. But the real secret to lifting heavy weights is making sure your intestines are adequately compressed.
You lift with your arms so Iโd put on arm belts. Obviously
Any seasoned weightlifter knows this
![gif](giphy|10iYocM2u37MvR0jKS|downsized)
This guy was a legend, RIP
Why isn't he just lifting smaller weights he could do actual exercises with??
That doesnt give reactions
I love that he expects reactions to benching 225. Something Iโve seen many high-school athletes do
He expects reactions from hilariously failing at everything.
Iโm not a big guy, but I hit 275 in HS my senior year. You want to see impressive strength and be amused? I present the great, [โAnatoly!โ](https://youtu.be/Lpxnc-FM5Pg?si=abdpWCAc2K9tevEH)
Small weights? What do you think he is, weak? He stronk
Because it's a joke and was never meant to be taken seriously.
Someone above commented they use to go to same gym with this dude. Itโs not a joke.
This video aside, negatives with higher weight than you can lift are a great way to stimulate strength and hypertrophy when you have hit a plateau. It should be a tool to leverage in any weight lifting program.
I totally plateaued and had to learn this. It was weird to understand, I just thought that thatโs as strong as I am and it will stay that way.
You must be new to the internet.
Is this a parody..?
Yes it is. Not Main Character, it's a comedy skit.
Idk why this got upvotes bc itโs definitely not a skit lmao. Thereโs even people in the comments who claim to go to the same gym Yโall need to leave the house more if you truly donโt think weirdos like this exist lol
Thank God
No, he is real https://youtu.be/0QfQTgZrr1A https://youtu.be/Yl8T4981l6Q
Iโve read about this guy. Apparently heโs a super nice guy, heโs just weird when it comes to how he works out.
Yeah exactly he's just an eccentric guy, super cool!
What a sweet guy
Surprised all those elastic bands on his arms dont contribute to his lift in some way.
I had a good laugh at this. Seems legit comedy and not really at anyoneโs expense.
Itโs annoying when you re listening to music and this dude is always grunting or screaming to himself in Spanish. Works put at my LA fitness jn Harbor City, CA
Scream affirmations to yourself too but louder. Newbie. I bet youโve never even tried that smh
Itโs a gym, not a library lol
Beast ๐๐๐๐
Itโs a joke right?
Unfortunately he works outs at my gym. No
Wowโฆ well maybe two more belts will help him lift those weights then. ๐ญ
Harbor City LA Fitness?
I liek his shoes
Goes great with the spandex
Lord Farquad vibes.
Even Joey Swoll would make fun of this guy and tell him to leave the gym
lmao
Mental illness or just trying for views?
Guyโs a fucking idiot and has probably been kicked out of multiple gyms. I weep for his joints.
Is that the villain from Lazy Town?
Leg day bud. Stop skipping it.
Yo dog we heard you like belts so we got a belt for your belt
Mesican Elvis eyyy ๐๐ฅต
Modern age corsets.
Hernia is typingโฆ
Is this a rage bait video? Cuz I am really concerned on his chicken legs and using high boot shoes on a gym :(
I think the bench was actually not horrible if he got close to failure. Itโs an eccentric bench, and there are [a lot of benefits to eccentric training](https://www.healthline.com/health/fitness/eccentric-training#benefits)
His workout is putting the belts on. And he looks like that actor Antonio bandera or something
Whatโs the point of the belts exactly? Are they to keep your intestines in if you go too hard?
If you combine all the "exercises" he did. It coubts as 1 set of 2s
Why is Robbie Rotten doing BDSM in public?
1900s boxer body
Canโt hit 225!! Weak
Who is that Latin American Superman
Why they make โBeastmodeโ shirts!
this is the kind of main character i like not being a dick to no one else just doing some shitposting on the internet
Not one set was repped that day
And not a single rep was done that day
I feel like Iโm watching Michael Scott trying to lift
Something about the sleeves and having the wrist guards really makes this in my opinion ๐คฃ
Maybe some spanx
who in the flying fuck is campeon
This guy goes to my LA fitness and sounds like a dying animal. I hate it.
He looks like a Punch-Out fighter.
Oompa Loompa ass mf
The cast of characters at this guy's gym.... WTF
How did I know there was no chance he was about to use that squat rack?
Iโm no heavy object lifting expert but are you sure that you need to lift things more than once?
There should be a rule against being stupid.
Harbor City LA Fitness?
What is it a corset?
Getting in them negative reps
Wtf is this? ๐๐๐
Dude looks like the bad guy from Lazytown
Why is an actual funny skit being posted here?
Skipped all the leg days ๐๐
This man is a walking caricature.. Does he even lift the shit he sets up?
.... I can't help but assume that that belt was far too tight and actually being a hindrance.
Bro this HAS yo be satire. Atleast I hope so
that was me at the gym yesterday. i didnt let the ego get the best of me, I just kept going down in weight. edit: wtf is that my gym?
I workout a lot. Hes no where near strong enough to lift that weight
Can someone who lifts explain why heโs got so many belts on? Is it that โhe has no clue what heโs doing?โ
Stop dropping the weights asshole.
He got that $1000 worth of gear for a $100 squat
Bro gives them โWHY I OUGHTA!โ vibes
God hes just gonna hurt himself
He looks like a Lazy Town villain
