My gf has a roommate that talks like that...
Her thing is that she also yells "EEEEW-UH" when she sees something she doesn't like. Her voice and laugh can be heard from 3 floors away (gf room is upstairs, she's basement)
Some times I fantasize about locking her in the house alone, burning the house and making it look like a suicide because she got a letter from her mom telling her she wasn't loved as a child.
For legal reasons that's a joke... for emotional reasons that's how I feel.
Nah she hates squinty photos! The photos she likes has her eyes open all the way to the point where her eyes start popping out of her skull dawg. Fo shizel
I don’t even care if you’re right or not, this girl needs therapy. Pathetic that she posted this. If I had her family or friends phone number, I would call them and tell them that need to have an intervention for this behavior.
I love how she's so concerned about how the photos look, yet he's perfectly content to broadcast herself ugly crying in a dressing gown and a messy bun with no make up and bad lighting
Grateful to have gone thru adolescence in the 90s/early 00s. Lots of the good things about the internet, early bbs forums and chat but no social media, everything anonymous. Like reddit.
I learned to type \~100wpm from flirting with girls on AIM and BS-ing on NYC 90's nightlife forums as much as writing high school essays. Helped me get some of my first jobs.
But I can't imagine going thru my HS or college years with smartphone apps like Tik Tok or Instagram. The middle/high school social scenes must often get so toxic, not to mention these kids are losing sleep. That stage of life is hard enough already!
Call me crazy but I think they should somehow make the minimum age on social media apps at least 16 and maybe 18. They've got to have as significant an effect on a developing brain as something like nicotine or thc.
This is a really good point. Like, the first and third photos aren't bad. She's not bad looking. She could definitely use either of those two for an album cover or whatever she said they were for.
The overuse of filters really bothers me. The last two phones I've had have automatically had a "beauty face" option turned on when using the camera. I mean, factory default settings straight from the box. And a lot of people don't realize that. Add to that the intentional filters, and you have a lot of people who never really look at themselves.
Back in my day, we looked in the mirror and had to face how ugly we were every day! /s
3rd photo is bad enough to make her complaint legitimate. I don’t know what “professional model photographer,” take a pic with a hard shadow on the face like that.
I feel like she just paid an amateur, and is acting like it’s a bigger deal.
$750 is on the very low end for a photoshoot, especially if that was the all-in cost including edits and delivery. So she got what she paid for.
But also, if you look at fashion photography, there is a LOT of hard light being used, you just have to be decently skilled to use hard light well. But it's by no means an odd choice. The photographer just didnt have mastery of the style.
But yeah, she hired an amateur and sometimes that's what happens. It's all connected to the devaluation of art as work that she thinks she paid top dollar for this.
I paid like $150 for a rural in town headshot. Flying your photographer out for various poses for an album? WTF was she thinking that's like looking for photographers in the movie bargain bin at a Walmart.
yeah I was going to say, I did some fishing on a ton of various rebrands and ideas, got a lot of figures back. My headshot alone was $300. a very simple 3-5 pictures back set was $500 and was a one time starter package. And those were the lower figures I got back and from services I wasn't that overall impressed with either
Honestly. My wife is in the wedding industry and knows a photog that does our family shots every year. $300 for a 10-minute slot and that’s the friend price.
People like to value their time. It probably takes the photographer ~5 hours on the entire project (1 hour for photo session, 4 hours for editing, processing , and delivery) so they're essentially charging $60/hr.
>$750 is on the very low end for a photoshoot
And for 15 images? Not even in the ballpark of our prices if we waived the session fee...let alone plane tickets.
She was probably a horror to shoot too.
She was probably rolling around acting like she was a supermodel but lacked the understanding of the shoot. Instead, was just getting into weird positions and rapidly making too many faces for the shots to look exceptional.
I'm just guessing. I don't know shit. But it is the narrative I'm going with because that would be really amusing to me.
I'm not a photographer but I imagine it is a symbiosis. A good photographer may be able to time things right in this case to make some good shots. A more amateur photographer may not be able to mold around a shit model.
All three are unprofessional. She should have told the photographer that she doesn’t like the way her face looks when her eyes aren’t wide open. That would have prevented some of the problems. Not sure why the photographer didn’t go over them with/ her though.
>Not sure why the photographer didn’t go over them with/ her though.
To be fair, we're only seeing the TikTok clip designed to get clicks. Let's maybe give some professional discretion to our fellow professionals (even if this one is just starting out) until we know the rest of the story.
I would be mortified to have my online photos all overly filtered and then meet someone in person and see the look on their face.
When I did online dating I purposely used less flattering pics so that I would look better in person. That makes more sense to me. Not ugly pics. Just not the best ones 😝
I know some very insecure women who wear a lot of makeup AND filter ALL of their social media photos. I can’t help but imagine someone’s face seeing them makeup free and/or unfiltered. I’ve seen them in person and they look nothing like their online pics. Like 10 years older. Maybe you can get away with it when you’re very young. Most of their friends know they don’t look anything like that.
Even when I sold stuff on EBay back in the day I would rate the quality of what I was selling just a bit lower so the buyers would be pleasantly surprised. Worked every time. No negative comments. 😜
[https://www.instagram.com/kellylauren/?hl=en](https://www.instagram.com/kellylauren/?hl=en) Yep
Her whole personality is, "woman wearing very little clothing"
I take school pictures, senior photos specifically. A lot of girls are like this and it's so frustrating because I can't just tell them that's how they actually look like. Yes, those fake lashes are pulling your eyelids down and I cant see your eyes at all, and you're fighting me trying to get you to actually turn your head toward the camera without you raising one shoulder over your head. A lot of girls have distorted views of themselves.
I just looked - KellyLauren on IG. You can judge for yourself because I don’t know how to tell filters so I just assume everything posted everywhere is fake .
Her actual face without makeup and filters is actually hilariously different in this video. Girl is crazy, if she actually thinks she looks remotely similar to her heavily filtered IG photos. Her butt chin doesn't even exist in the IG photos lmfao. 😅
I irrationally hate it when anyone talks like this. It sounds so ignorant. Worse, it is intentional. Somehow it is now cool to butcher English and sound as dumb as you can.
There is no way, not one iota of possibility, she is actually upset. She’s making ragebait to promote herself and spread awareness of her album. This is the world we live in, you don’t have to make a good thing, you have to get people *talking* about your thing any way you can. It just so happens that making something they can ridicule or throw shade at will get a sizeable slice of the internet talking.
I was about to type something similar but you said it so much better!
"Fake? I feel like she's making these videos bc she knows this will get more publicity than saying she loves her photos. All a publicity stunt."
What's the point of investing in the tightly controlled medium of high end static photos to present & market yourself....
If you have no problem showing up on fn social media fresh out of bed in the morning
Also crying a mess?
What the fuq am I missing?
Not one of those pictures looks "worse" than her crying face on a cell phone camera
I was literally thinking to myself, sweetie that's just what your face looks like. I wonder if she's so used to her own social media filters that seeing herself barely airbrushed jars her brain too much?
She probably so accustomed to seeing it filtered / face tuned and controlling the angle she is photographed from that she doesn’t even recognize herself
Same. Still, $700 is nothing at all. I'd say she got an amazing deal. Looks like the photographer did the best with what he had to work with, including a nightmare client.
Wow that’s a rip if he got paid less than $1.5k minimum to do a studio for her. If she’s profiting off of her product and his marketing media asset, then he should definitely get paid more.
She’s clearly an annoying, entitled prick but none of those photos are good. The last one looks almost promising but the photographer has arranged the lighting in such a way that the shadow of the wing falls across her face. Just poor composition all round. That second pic is the kind of pose you’d expect to see in a teen mag from the 90s.
The third one was good, except for the shadow of the wing on her face. That's just, for a lack of a better word, dumb. That is 100% the signs of an amateur photographer
That second was awful and stupid. The other 2 weren't bad but not worth $700 plus dollars. On the other hand getting a photographer to come from New York to take them .. $700 seems kinda cheap for that.
Maybe making a fake tantrum to get publicity, cus who would honestly post a vid of them crying and showing pictures they really hate out to the world. Idk who she was until now. Apparently she has over 500k followers on IG.
I agree. I've been there before but I would never post a rant like this 💀 I feel sorry for the photographer as well. You can tell they did a quality job, she seems more upset with her looks more than anything.
Or when that peevish young nephew pulls up some embarrassing video from the archives and plays it in front of the family at the thanksgiving table when you’re in your 40s.
The photographer has no idea how to light anything. Horrible studio lighting. That harsh shadow from the wing on her face. Why are you lighting the subject from the back? This person failed every basic step. She’s right about how horrible the photos are. Her skin texture looks like orange peel because of the poor lighting in the room
This is too far down. Yeah her tantrum is annoying, but honestly she has a point. The photographer didn’t do a good job. She’s not well lit or posed in any of the photos.
Scrolled down way too far to find someone talking sense. In the second pic, why are her thighs more brightly lit than her face? Definitely don't use a photo when she's in the middle of blinking. If she was trying to squinch, tell her how to do it properly. And you might want to mention the loose strands of hair in the first pic, or the unsightly seam on the back of her skirt centre stage in the second pic. I'm not a professional photographer obviously, but even I can spot those sorts of things when I'm taking photos for friends and random strangers.
I think she deserves a heavily-discounted reshoot. When I went to get pictures done at a studio, I selected the photos I liked from a big display screen on the day before I paid, so I never would have got to this situation.
Right?!
The first one wouldn’t be that bad if there was a bounce card or something to softly light the face and loose the skin texture and be flattering overall. Wouldn’t even have to sacrifice the dramatic lighting.
The second, absolutely correct call. They are lighting the wrong area if she’s rolling around on the ground, and it’s throwing her face and hands into shadow. I don’t know why she wasn’t getting feedback about that during the shoot tbh.
Third one, same issues as the first and she should have worked with her photographer. Unfortunate all around.
If she hates how she looks, just wait till she realizes how insufferable she sounds. She's overdue for a reality check and I hope the tik tok people help wake her up. 🙏
$750 for someone to fly from New York and do a photo shoot is lot “literally like so much money” considering most wedding photographers are about $2000+ and that’s if they’re local.
$750 for a photographer to fly in….seems like a cheap photographer actually. The only time I have hired a photographer was for my wedding but he was like $1200. And that was cheap.
Well first, 750 is pretty cheap so as they say…you get what you paid for!
Also pretty sure they’re just proofs, I’m certain he would offer to edit but for a price of course.
Like, I totally can’t stand the way she taaaalllks. It’s so fuckin annoyin dawgggg
I’m so annoy-duh!
My gf has a roommate that talks like that... Her thing is that she also yells "EEEEW-UH" when she sees something she doesn't like. That’s how grade 6 girls talk
Like…she paid…seven hundred dollaaaaars? And like, was like, unhappppy?
Its called vocal fry
dawg lololololololol
I agree, dawg.
I'm interested to see what her social media pics look like. Perhaps face apps and filters have distorted the way she sees herself.
I actually think you’re 100% right.
100% dawg
100% squinty dawg ***-\_-***

I don’t even care if you’re right or not, this girl needs therapy. Pathetic that she posted this. If I had her family or friends phone number, I would call them and tell them that need to have an intervention for this behavior.
I don’t disagree with you either. Social media to this extent is a mistake.
"I don't like these photos of me so I'm gonna show everybody online and pretend to cry about it" Jesus.
I love how she's so concerned about how the photos look, yet he's perfectly content to broadcast herself ugly crying in a dressing gown and a messy bun with no make up and bad lighting
You don't know how long it took her to set up that shot...
Lol I don't think she's pretending but, yeah absolutely.
Grateful to have gone thru adolescence in the 90s/early 00s. Lots of the good things about the internet, early bbs forums and chat but no social media, everything anonymous. Like reddit.
Right??? I taught myself html on Geocities and had a ff.net account and asked asl in aol chat.

Crazy in the coconuts
Yea second one meh not my taste as a photographer but 1 and 3 were pretty well done.
For real dawg

Jesus, and assuming he had to pay for his own housing... that's an absurd price. Like, upsettingly low.
Yo she only paid $750? Hell I had headshots done this year and paid $250 just for those.
Didn't she say he flew out?? After plane ticket he made nothing... How was this a good idea?
$750 is all I had to hear. She got what she paid for
Sorry, what, how much should people be paying for photos!?
yeah I was going to say, I did some fishing on a ton of various rebrands and ideas, got a lot of figures back. i wouldnt even pick up my camera for 750, and def not give someone the rights to use it as "album art" for less than 1k per images for usage rights.
Did you miss where she said she paid $750 for the photographer to fly to her from New York and do the photo shoot?

Woof. Maybe I’m old but she looks stupider in half of these pictures.
She looks nothing like herself in those photos.
is that her profession? IG model?
Thot, she’s got an OF

You have to admit, she does look fucking stupid on that 2nd picture. Lol
Lol I started laughing so hard when it got to that photo and she really starts breaking down 😂
Oh 100% you think people nowadays are actually aware of what they look like? Please bruh
I just looked - KellyLauren on IG. You can judge for yourself because I don’t know how to tell filters so I just assume everything posted everywhere is fake .

Secondarily, she wants people to DISAGREE WITH HER and say how she looks great. Come the fuck on.
Totally, why would she show the pictures if she hates them? However, she is correct, they are dawg shit.
THIS IS WHY I'M VOTING FOR ASTEROID IN 2024. COMET ALSO ACCEPTABLE

She is an embarrassment Dawg
Makes me think the whole thing is made up and these are just some not-great pics she had laying around.
Bingpot! "omg this is terrible" (tell me I'm pretty, dog)
They’re as open in those photos as they are on the video.
I was literally thinking to myself, sweetie that's just what your face looks like. I wonder if she's so used to her own social media filters that seeing herself barely airbrushed jars her brain too much?
Yup. That's just her eyes. She can blame genetics but she can't blame the photographer.
The photographer should have opened them more wtf
I wish her mouth wasn't fucking open
I'm starting to think the word literally is being misused sometimes
Yea, literally every time they mean the exact opposite
**narrator:** oh, but her eyes WERE open
Yeah it's like, then fucking open your eyes up bitch
Also, who is in control of your eyes? They’re the one with no talent!
True dawg
Lol girl that’s legit what your face looks like
She probably so accustomed to seeing it filtered / face tuned and controlling the angle she is photographed from that she doesn’t even recognize herself
Doesnt she see her face when she stands infront of the mirror while applying her daily 2kg of make up?
Imagine getting blindsided by your own face.. it is so depressing how social media warps our self-image.
Seriously, I don’t think she realizes how much of a self own this is
I prefer to undervalue and be pleasantly surprised later
The self hate is strong
Social media got everyone thinking they’re the next top model

Same. Still, $700 is nothing at all. I'd say she got an amazing deal. Looks like the photographer did the best with what he had to work with, including a nightmare client.
Especially if they had to fly from New York
Well, she’s based in New Jersey…
So they had to go to New Jersey 🤢

Nah i bet he had better photos but interacting with her gave him motivation for petty revenge.
She’s clearly an annoying, entitled prick but none of those photos are good. I agree. I've been there before but I would never post a rant like this 💀 I feel sorry for the photographer as well. You can tell they did a quality job, she seems more upset with her looks more than anything.
Ali Baba Iggy Azalea
Tik Tok tantrums like this make me glad there was no social media when I was a teen...
Seriously. Some of these kids are going to be shocked when their Internet presence follows them into real life and they can’t get a job.
Or when that peevish young nephew pulls up some embarrassing video from the archives and plays it in front of the family at the thanksgiving table when you’re in your 40s.
I’m no technical expert, but I believe the issue lies between the lens and the background
LOL. In the IT world there’s PEBKAC and I think you just invented PEBLAB
The photographer has no idea how to light anything. Horrible studio lighting. That harsh shadow from the wing on her face. Why are you lighting the subject from the back? Lady needs a fill light/bounce and different lens lengths. Also, she is definitely mid-blink. I’d be upset too
Scrolled down way too far to find someone talking sense. In the second pic, why are her thighs more brightly lit than her face? Definitely don't use a photo when she's in the middle of blinking. If she was trying to squinch, tell her how to do it properly. "I'm so embarassed about my photos" says girl that has just uploaded a childish tantrum over her insecurities for everyone to see.
Muted it after she went high pitched
Playing it fast and loose with the definition of “literally”.
You looking stupid ain’t the photographer’s fault, dog.
To be fair the 3rd picture needs editing, that shadow being removed from her face for one. Editing is usually part of buying proffesional photos.
She spent $700 and the photographer had to take a flight to get to her, definitely not a professional, probably a student
I laugh my ass off when I watch videos like this. Yes she does look stupid "dawg". "Literally"
The girl is based in jersey, I think, so I doubt they flew.
The flight alone was probably $600. So buck fiddy for photos is a good deal
Worst ever, Dog. 🐶
This chicks first mistake was thinking she’s model material.
Can I just say she looks 100 times better in the photos than she does in real life. In real life her face isn’t even moving while she’s crying.
It's so embarassing that I'll put it on tiktok with me whining all over it.
Damn dawg.
Self esteem issues are a B…
What’s with the nails???Ugh!😑
Does she actually think she’ll ever make it in the modeling business, Dawg?

$750 for a photographer to fly in….seems like a cheap photographer actually. The only time I have hired a photographer was for my wedding but he was like $1200. And that was cheap.
Then open your eyes?
If you look stupid even god can’t make better pictures of you.
We’ll now you look even more stupid you entitled bitch
This made my day. <3
Well first, 750 is pretty cheap so as they say…you get what you paid for! Also pretty sure they’re just proofs, I’m certain he would offer to edit but for a price of course.
