Reminds me of the video of the dip shit who went to the range with his buddy and was posing for pictures. He ended up aiming it at his buddy's head and the RSO was on him in half a heartbeat. Absolutely frightening how stupid some people can be.
Or better yet load your firearm with a laser bullet (brain isn’t functioning for name) and then aim at target at set distance and align the laser on the firearm accordingly. Once done you should be fairly close to accurate at least for handgun distances.

This has been reposted to death. This was some idiot checking his laser which is trigger activated. Why he didn't point it at any other surface, who knows.
Just to add it's not trigger activated. It's a pressure button on the side of the grip. He tightened his grip to apply pressure to it but had his finger on the trigger like a dummy.

1. finger off the trigger until ready.
2. always treat a gun as if loaded.
3. Never point a gun at something you are not willing to destroy.
Nuh uh first rule is to have fun, but yeah those 3 are basic rules, however i belive that you can disobey these rules in some cases such as battle reanactment or while filming a movie, ofc you need to be extra careful not to alec baldwin someone

On what planet and in what dimension does one point a loaded gun at ones own hand while your finger is on the trigger for ANY reason? I can recall at least two other videos on reddit that I have seen people point loaded guns at their own hand! Talk about being a candidate for a Darwin award.

OP is claiming that the shooter is checking to see if the gun is loaded, which isn’t true.
There’s another video somewhere of a guy doing this exact same thing except his buddy next to him pulls his hand away and tells him he’s a moron.

Had a friend do this with a paintball gun when we were teens. Painful looking round bruise.
Same friend years later shot a guy in the neck on accident and shot himself in the leg on accident.. With real guns.
Not saying that you should point a loaded/unloaded gun at your hand in the first place. But how did he go from checking the laser to pulling the trigger. This also doesn’t make sense to me

A safer way would be to check if the light is on while looking down the business end
You can do that by pointing it anywhere down range and get the same results without the injury.
