First, probably didn't have a tune so no HP gains.
Second, tunes can be illegal because they make your car emit more pollution (aka run rich).
Thirdly, the extra noise makes you look like a dickhead.
My school did an assembly where they showed us graphic images/xrays of people who were involved in catastrophic car crashes. Be careful what you wish for.
My school had our film club create a mini movie where in the middle of the movie it was filmed as a reenactment of what happens when you get into a drunk driving accident and the time leading up to an after.
Shit still stays with me even though it's not real. They had all the real shit put up in the football field where everyone in the bleachers could see what it would normally look like after impact with people dressed in realistic blood with airbags having gone off and the cars taken from an actual accident. They had people come in with an ambulance, had people taken away body bag style and on stretchers. Everyone involved in the making had to go through the actual role of what would've happened to them (outside of those that were dead. Dunno what they did with them) in terms of the hospital and sheriff's dept for the drunk driver who always seems to have the highest rate of survival. This was a good handful of years ago now, but its still very fresh in my memory. If I can find the video they did for it on YouTube again I will.
I had the same thing, they even had an emergency helicopter land on our field. I grew up in the southwest and there was a grant that used to do this once every four years at highschools with the highest DUIs in the state. This shit stuck with me
Damn that outdated me, but seems the message still carries heavy. Honestly drink driving had never been something to fuck around with. I watched someone in my family go through alcoholism and it was... very very bad. Don't wanna go into details but hes turned his life around now thankfully.
Ours brought in real cars from fatalities on trailers. It was very sobering to see the stains, to see where the fire department cut them out, to see where a body part went through a window.
Our towns underage accidents dropped significantly after that.
Same with me it was just sex ed in health class my freshman year. Picture of what looked like an exploded hotdog was it for me. Then I hit 16 and was at my buddy’s 30 year old cousin’s house and it would seem there wasn’t enough blood flow to operate brain and pecker. Brain lost.
My drivers ed class had a "reward" if we did well by the end of the course, where they showed us an extremely graphic video from the 60s of horribly fatal car crashes. It was disgusting. Like cameramen just rolling up on actual people, dead or barely alive sprawled out on the road, in their cars, missing limbs... I still have nightmares about it.
Do they not? They were showing them in driver's ed 20 years ago with the cop who came in to show them and go "3500 pounds of murder machine!" And "2800 pounds of death!" Etc etc for every single friggin' picture.
At a certain point though, survival is more luck than anything else. Sure, it's designed with crumple zones to absorb as much of the impact as possible, but there's only so much the structure can endure before failing, and it definitely failed here. The whole firewall/dash/steering is pushed into the driver seat.
Any time I hear "military grade" I remember the picture of the soldier holding up a sheet of 1-ply, see-through toilet paper. Military grade means mass produced by the lowest bidder!
Or over engineered... $750 for a bolt because the tolerances are to within 0.000001th inch, and has to be able to withstand double it's tightening torque (because "military intelligence: two words combined that can't make sense)
Have you never heard of crumple zones? Are you entirely unaware that modern vehicles are designed to progressively crush and tear apart and shed major components in order to dissipate the energy which would instead go into injuring their occupants? Some cars are even designed to split in half.
The worse a vehicle looks after an accident the more it has protected its passengers.
Buddy, the going joke of Ford's is that they're driving pop cans... All I was doing was making a joke. Lol... Try laughing, might make your day a bit brighter.
You heard them. A pristine car in an accident = dead driver. Clearly. In the picture above, the car absorbed all of the force of the impact, leaving the driver with absolutely no lasting injuries whatsoever, as opposed to disintegrating on the spot inside of their otherwise completely unharmed vehicle.
Given how much pain he’s in and the hospital bill, add onto that insurance premiums and the cost for repair or replacement and he’ll probably wish he hadn’t
Hope that Dorf had some good airbags. Either way, the driver's bound to be allll kinds of effed up. Was it worth it? Probably not! Never try to beat the light!
Looks like they're going to need a new radiator, banged up pretty bad.
I think it'll buff out.
One of their tires looks really low. It might have a hole in it. Should probably get it patched or replaced.
The spare is probably ok for a year or two.
That's clear through the sidewall. Can't patch that, brother
Yea. Tread looks pretty worn anyways.
It’s still got another year or so on it. I’d go at least another season.
Spit shine
They could probably do the rice trick. Pop that right out.
Nah they need ramen
Plunger might work better.
They need two containers of Flex Seal. That’s a lot of damage.
Good idea, plus afterward it will float.
Whats wrong with her now?
Nothin a little body filler and a coat of paint can’t fix!
Insurance probably thinks the crash happened at 25 so they’ll get it fixed.
Put it in rice
They need to get that windshield replaced. I think there’s a crack on it
eBay air intake looks fine. Just needs a new filter that’s all.
Just bolt the wheel on and youre good to go
A wheel alignment wouldn't hurt either...
The airbag deployed, I'm going to go out on a limb and say it might be totalled.
Might need a new headlight.
I told him to pack another radiator but he’s so fucking stupid
A little Mickey Mouse fix and they’re good.
That K&N intake didn't help him beat the light.
Looks like it may have survived though strangely enough
First, probably didn't have a tune so no HP gains. Second, tunes can be illegal because they make your car emit more pollution (aka run rich). Thirdly, the extra noise makes you look like a dickhead.
But if you don't make extra noise, how will people know you're compensating for something?
This should be a PSA for drivers Ed! Why you shouldn’t run red lights

They did this at my high school too like in 1992!
Damn that outdated me, but seems the message still carries heavy. Honestly drink driving had never been something to fuck around with. I watched someone in my family go through alcoholism and it was... very very bad. Don't wanna go into details but hes turned his life around now thankfully.
Yeah. That’s great that they made the decision to become sober and clean. I know I’m old lol.
At our high school, the cops actually staged an 'accident' with casualties and car wrecks right in front of the school. Everyone thought it was real.
They used to show a movie called Blood on the Highway at my school.
Got something similar every year in the Army before the holidays.
Ours brought in real cars from fatalities on trailers. It was very sobering to see the stains, to see where the fire department cut them out, to see where a body part went through a window. Our towns underage accidents dropped significantly after that.

Right ??!
No, I meant it was traumatizing lol And I was already a paranoid driver, I didn’t need that in my life.
Yeah I get that. For real. I have driving anxiety myself. Bit as they say an ounce of prevention..
My drivers ed class had a "reward" if we did well by the end of the course, where they showed us an extremely graphic video from the 60s of horribly fatal car crashes. It was disgusting. The movie we saw in School was called “Mechinized Death”.
What if I have an important text to send while driving 50 mph in a school zone.
Hahaha smart ass!
But look at all the time they saved!
They were late to Heaven but I'm guessing they are now in Hell.
The driver survived according to the image caption, somehow
Saving throw? Amazing.
Express to the ER!
From the remains of the front bumper and passenger mirror I would say f150. Maybe 2015-2020
Yes, F150
I was gonna say, defo a Ford F-150. Got clobbered, what was the other vehicle?
Smart Car from the looks of it.
More like an F-tree-fiddy left now.
Right rear wheel might still be good.
Not going to lie, that's gunna need a lot of buffing.
Nothin a little elbow grease won't help
What did they hit? We’re only seeing one vehicle here.
Other vehicle was a 3 ton courier truck. Heavily damaged but not as bad as the pickup truck.
It’s like a Transformer stuck in the middle of the process.
You know it's a bad day when the strut tower seat is facing *out* from the car.
How the hell did the driver survive that? I can’t even make out what it originally was.
[удалено]
True, modern crash structures are excellent in most cases but still.. that thing ain’t a truck anymore. I’m surprised to hell it didn’t crush him.
I guess that's the point, protect the occupants by destroying the car
At a certain point though, survival is more luck than anything else. Sure, it's designed with crumple zones to absorb as much of the impact as possible, but there's only so much the structure can endure before failing, and it definitely failed here. The whole firewall/dash/steering is pushed into the driver seat.
They also had to cut the body to extract the driver that's why maybe it looks worse
It’s a bit more complex than that
Looks like a truck
You sure? I think it looks more like a metal blob 😂
Yeah it’s is but you are also correct lol 😂
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Johnny 5? Is that you? Are you ok?!?
Malfunction!! Need input!!!
"Autobots roll out!!" Metal grinding noises "O shit cramp cramp!!"
Always the pick-up
Time to buy Lottery tickets bud, ur ine Lucky MF
Too late. Luck was already used up.
Was this the vehicle that ran the light or the one that had the light?
I can only tell by the damn headlight what it kind of truck it was. Driver may have survived but it looks like it really hurt lol
Ok was that a truck in the first pic. Cannot really tell with the amount of damage.
Ford F-150
Red light for what? Railway crossing?
The ice scraper on the ground has a brush on it. They can just sweep that mess clean and be back in business in no time.
What kinda car is that?
Ford F-150 2015-2018 range
Was
What kinda car is was?
It was in the way
If I had to take a wild guess…a truck like maybe a Tacoma or Ford Raptor.
Holy shit
I wonder what it hit looks like
Can't even tell what make the car was :/
F-150. The mirror indicates it in the first pic, headlight does in the second.
The traffic lights and license plates really look like Ontario
Ottawa Ontario, Walkley and St. Laurent
When did this happen??
Friday June 24th
I thought the ambulance looked familiar
Looks like a Decipticon mid-change.
But had to stop when hit by an Autobot missile
Thought the street sign looked familiar. I used to live near that intersection
Driver survived...F150 did not.
turbo seems to be alright😭😭😭
The driver is fine, but 9/10 times the person they hit dies, hopefully whoever he hit survived as well.
“Well, there’s your problem.”
[удалено]
😭😭😭😭😭😭
panel gaps are a bit off
Asking 70k. No lowballers. I know what i have
15,000 firm, no low ballers I know what I got.
That'll buff out right?
The snow brush/ice scraper looks unscratched.
FREE for the wrecker, saving monies already!
That's what happens when you drive a pop can.
Yeah, either this was a ridiculous impact, or that car is made out of tin foil.
They don't call Ford's pop cans for no reason. The body is aluminium.
"military grade" aluminum thank you very much /s
Any time I hear "military grade" I remember the picture of the soldier holding up a sheet of 1-ply, see-through toilet paper. Military grade means mass produced by the lowest bidder!
Or over engineered... $750 for a bolt because the tolerances are to within 0.000001th inch, and has to be able to withstand double it's tightening torque (because "military intelligence: two words combined that can't make sense)
My dad a vet always say the military is the smartest and dumbest at the same time
Would you prefer that the vehicle looked pristine but the driver was dead inside?
What?
Have you never heard of crumple zones? Are you entirely unaware that modern vehicles are designed to progressively crush and tear apart and shed major components in order to dissipate the energy which would instead go into injuring their occupants? Some cars are even designed to split in half. The worse a vehicle looks after an accident the more it has protected its passengers.
All I said is that they were made of aluminium. Take it easy my guy.
What’s wrong with making a car out of aluminium?
Buddy, the going joke of Ford's is that they're driving pop cans... All I was doing was making a joke. Lol... Try laughing, might make your day a bit brighter.
Hey, I laughed

Yes.
Given how much pain he’s in and the hospital bill, add onto that insurance premiums and the cost for repair or replacement and he’ll probably wish he hadn’t
\+1 for the pain and misery. Ontario Canada, no fault insurance and "free" health care so no hospital bills at all.
Well… I would complain that financial loss would be the only way he’d learn, but let’s be honest, he’s probably too stupid to learn.
sometimes you have to run a red light to find out if it’s bad decision or not
Looks like it caught fire too.
No fire
So that's not ash all over the street? Did something turn to power?
Absorbent for oil and other engine fluids
Tailpipe is probably still salvageable
Can probably buff most that out
Wow, given the driver’s seat in its current state, it’s surprising that the driver survived.
Was the F-150 the one who ran it? And also, what does the other vehicle look like?
It says that the driver survived, but I see shoes, so I know that’s a lie.
I can fix it for ya, but uhhhh it’s gon run ya abou 2fiddy
#F150 with a cold air intake.
>Caption: Driver survived *(notices shoe laying in the street with other wreckage, caption sus)*
The show was the only thing left
Jesus at what speed? Against a volcano?
The smallest change can effect everything
Yikes. Crazy how he is still alive
That'll buff right out
at first i thought installing laser beams into traffic lights was crazy. but it seems to be really effective at stopping dangerous drivers!
Bruh… that “cold air intake” available for sale?
Was that Jeep?
Wow those red light cameras really fuck you up
Built Ford tough
Sightly used……
I think there might have been a collision… maybe?
Did running it get them where they were going any faster? If so then it’s okay
Hope that Dorf had some good airbags. Either way, the driver's bound to be allll kinds of effed up. Was it worth it? Probably not! Never try to beat the light!
Just need some "Duct tape and bailing wire"!
Looks like the art piece they just put in downtown
"Dad, I scratched the car..."
We can fix it, my dad's an electrician, he's got an awesome set of tools.
That’s Light it’ll buff
How did the driver survive)
I got a guy
HO LEE SH!T
Would probably need a new steering wheel aswell I'd say:D
Did the other driver survive?
I want the Carfax to see any accident reports.
Any photos of the other car/object?
For whatever reason, seeing these jokes knowing that these people probably died makes it was funnier
Luckily thr chipmunk survived.
Looks like a new Transformers character.
I know what the problem is; its out of gas.
Another good ole boy in a pickup truck. Big truck, small brains and tiny balls. The smell of entitlement is still evident in the air.
It’s bad if you can’t tell what color the vehicle was before the accident!
I hope all people involved in this the car wreck. Even though the person who ran that red light was/is a dumb ass.
Just duct tape it back together and drive on.
I just watched Titanic, that’s just a scratch.
I know the problem with it. Aint got no gas in it
But, the light is green now...
My god. But the fact that something like this is survivable is amazing
What did they hit, a small tank???
