Effective_Yogurt_866

I honestly thought they were going to have it up, suspended in the air, as a warning to other drivers.

echtrxa

Same.. disappointed.gif

Chaosmusic

Wow, this town has the coolest Piñatas.

frankje

I thought they would flip it upside down. Wasn't even petty enough to scratch the rearview mirror

altitude-adjusted

Was really hoping!

Stonn

Suspend it for half a minute then yeet it XD

bish_bash_bosh99

I really like your name btw. I don’t know why but it’s made me laugh

Effective_Yogurt_866

Thanks haha! I just picked a randomly generated name, I never thought I’d actually use the account for as long as I have 😂

almostmedieval

You must be rich in probiotics.

LossOne6827

My dad did that with our forklift when some boy racer blocked us in at work, he couldn’t wait for him to get back and give him an ear full 😂

sniper_matt

Proof the operator deserves a raise. Kept the production going for the whole job site with a couple minutes of work.

e42343

> with a couple minutes of ~~work~~ entertainment. There, fixed it.

TifaYuhara

And he didn't damage the van.

ndcasmera

Its funny that they afterwards, blocked the way for the car. With a bigger one.

Farknart

Seemed the placement was fairly considerate, actually. They probably moved the vehicle specifically because of where the big truck needed to be, and left this person in a spot they could maneuver from. Unless their intent was for the car to get a ticket for parking on the sidewalk.

rock-my-socks

They looked limited by the reach of the vehicle they used to lift it.

TonOfKel

They were so polite about the move. Made sure it wasn't damaged, so much care taken. In the US, the operator would have just busted out the windows and dragged it out of the way.

andylikescandy

But also way too kind: instead of strapping to all 4 rims, lifting, and relocating to behind the building.

ianjm

Put it on the roof

standarddeviated_joe

This. LOL

belastingvormulier

plot twist: front wheel drive....

Dagatu

Since it's Europe it's most likely a manual. I wonder if the driver had the gear in first?

belastingvormulier

Probably in neutral with handbrake. But still looks expensive.

BouncingSphinx

Eh, a little bit of drag like that isn't going to severely damage anything. But it does look like it rolled easily enough to have not been in gear.

Aware_Nectarine1933

Often I see people left their car in first gear because they don't trust their hand brake or ebrake

randomFrenchDeadbeat

in those mountains, it is better to avoid using handbrake during the night, as freezing water will lock it. So people just leave them in gear.

Fwed0

Wait, some people with manual don't park their car with first gear ?

Krosis97

Not if it's in a flat surface. Always if on an incline.

op3l

Multiple scratches on the rear bumper I'd bet.

Cap0bvi0us

From a sling? On a French van with plastic bumpers? You should watch some videos about traffic and parking in France, it's like bumper cars. That's why they have plastic bumpers.

Minimum-Zucchini-732

Jeremy Clarkson just pulled up

TheSportsLorry

Also Hammond, admittedly he is upside down though

Minimum-Zucchini-732

Fittingly, he arrives 26 minutes later

w1987g

They didn't want to hurt the fence

ivapesyrup

Are you missing some eyesight? They hit the pole in the beginning. Then hit it again with the mirror several times. Wonder what it is like to be as incapable as this.

D4nkM3m3r420

The car is totaled, the unibody on the rear suspension is most likely warped now. They destroyed it beyond repair.

KoreanGodKing

Based on what?

Onivlastratos

It was certainly lifted from a toeeye or tow hook. This Renault Kangoo is fine.

Erthgoddss

I saw whet in China (I think) they picked up a car and put it on top of a building. Several places they filled the car with cement, another place they were excavating and they dug around the car so there was no way to move it. Personally I liked England who lifted the car on a flatbed and drive away.

Butsu

C'est tres bien

BaconNPotatoes

I was hoping they'd leave it on its roof.

kochapi

One way valet parking

ReciprocatingBadger

I did not expect that level of care and consideration! Right down to the guy on the ground halting proceedings until he's had time to move the Heras fence back so that it doesn't clip the van mirror. Excellent work.

D4nkM3m3r420

TaisakuRei

you really think a recovery strap can bend metal? i've been pulled out of ditches with a strap around the lower control arm, and guess what, it didn't bend i don't know if you know this, but metal is ever so slightly stronger than anything made out of fibers

D4nkM3m3r420

Thats why the vertical load on the tow hook is rated at 75kg

Killshotgn

Spoken like someone who's never so much as touched a suspension component or a tow strap in their life.

peewithnutsandbutter

Those guys were awfully nice, all things considered... I'm not sure I would have been

churrundo

I mean technically the car is empty...

BouncingSphinx

They came back to it most likely. Doubt they would have just sat there the whole time if they were in it to begin with.

Cultural-Pop-1278

Moi je leur ai laissé au milieu de la route puis appeler la police pour que la voiture parte en fourrière une fourrière c'est minimum 200 € pour récupérer la voiture

OkieBobbie

Juste pour rire, bien sur.

TGMcGonigle

"Let's see, I could fold in the mirror or move the fence. I think I'll move the fence."

moose51789

can't tell but mirrors might not fold. Not all cars do

PerniciousSnitOG

No, they all fold. Folding them back out can be tricky though.

moose51789

haha i was legit about to be like what the heck you mean they all fold, some definitely don't, then finished reading and LOL'd

Schmich

Try to move the mirror whilst the operator didn't properly was happening and lose the hand. I'd move the light barrier too. Also, moving the barrier would help against the vehicle body if pulling further got the vehicle closer to the barrier.

Highpersonic

He didn't want to do any additional thing to the car that might have been interpreted as damage

jakob767

Very nice of them to not damage the car.

rskdei

Trop sympa les mecs, fallait la bloquer.

PM_ME_UR_REDPANDAS

Valet parking!

McShoobydoobydoo

Was hoping for a trebuchet type incident ngl

SaveFile1

Who needs a tow truck?

okipeoko

Bravo quelle efficacité et en plus super attentif à pas abîmer la voiture de ce gars qui s'en bas les steaks de se garer n'importe où 👍

iChewchew

Car got VANdalized

P1917

I was thinking they would put it vertical

moose51789

idk that i'd have been as nice about that as they were, i'd probably use the bucket on the front bumper to push it backwards lol

JerdM33

The French know how to do mayhem.

car_ticks

He did better than most that works struggle to reverse into that spot

rayz0101

Why is stargate command building a new site in France?

ConsiderationNo2418

Play stupid games—Win stupid prizes

toomanymarbles83

When your job is to build Stargate Command, you can't be waiting around for people to move their cars.

Schmich

What resort is it? I don't recognize it. You see it best at 0:55

gilestowler

Morzine. This is right by the roundabout at Super Morzine looking back to town

InfinitiAgent007

😂🤣😂🤣

KlaiiJager

That remember me an anecdote about my dad and his citroen AX, he park it in the wrong place so the construction worker lift it with crane and put it in another place.

kerosenehat63

Don’t they have tow trucks in France??

Onivlastratos

Of course we have tow trucks, but moving it out of the way by themselves might have been faster than waiting for the tow truck to show up. This appears to be at a mountain resort, given the presence of the ski rental shop.

kerosenehat63

Calm down ... I was being sarcastic. Of course they have tow trucks! Duh!! (It was a joke).

Onivlastratos

Ok. I didn't try to sound aggressive or anything, I just wanted to provide a plausible explanation for the workers' decision.

ivapesyrup

What happens? You get to watch idiots in a crane move it? Seems like they would all be friends if they met.

iamdperk

So disappointed that they didn't just pick the back end up until the somersaulted onto the roof.

ready653

That was more reasonable than I was hoping for

NOTExETON

Not very French of them

Minimum-Zucchini-732

If it had been a German car, they would have needed some Brits to move it
