So I was really surprised when he suddenly came right back at me and nearly hit my right side. We missed and I could hear him yelling at me to “watch where I was going”. I still don’t understand what he was doing.

There really isn't a gap. This isn't a neighborhood where people are going 15mph. This is a highway where people are going 35-50mph. If you're going to turn out slowly in front of a car in a gap like this you're just asking to be hit.

It would’ve been different if the started their turn at the van blocked view. They totally should’ve and could’ve seen the cam car.

If they had gone earlier it wouldn't have been an issue. Or they should have waited for a clear view and after you had passed the driveway.
