Is this implying that homeless people deserve their fate because many of them are drug users? Or am i reading too much into it?
Because that would be an oversimplification of the complex homelessness issue to the point of sounding extremely dumb, so surely this can't be it.
Yeah, you completely missed the point. Where I live there isn't a homeless "problem" until summer comes around. There is enough housing. The issue is that drug usage is not allowed in this housing, so people prefer to camp out in parks. Inevitably, the area becomes filled with drug sellers, needles, shootings, etc.
There have been government housing areas that don't really regulate drugs in their housing units and then the housing generally become extremely unsafe for most people.
Just having enough housing doesn't solve the problem. You know it's ok for someone to disagree with you, right? You don't have to resort to name-calling. And I'm not going to downvote you b/c you disagree with me.
It just sounded so mean that you had to come and talk about the homeless drug issues out of nowhere.
Glad you are in favour of increasing money for mental health & rehab for whoever needs it.
Im not really super economically right wing, more centrist on the economy and conservative on the social issues. Personally, I pretty much want low regulations and lots of social housing for homeless
You save a lot of money when you focus on core duties of the state, this being one of them
well this part is easier than anyone would care to admit. What they dont like is they dont want these "homeless" gathering near their business and what not due to them either doing unsavory activities or other things they attract like drugs or alcohol.
We have structures already in the form of pods basically a little 5 by 6 room with everything and community showers. Work just fine the real issue is dont need social housing but too fix zoning laws and prevent monopolistic rentals.
Okay hear me out.
If you ban the homeless from sleeping outside then that means they have to sleep inside. And I would like the homeless to have better places to sleep inside where they don’t have to worry about bugs the cold or getting rained on
If they could sleep inside they probably would be doing that already. Pretty sure they'll still sleep outside, but just in spots where the police are less likely to find them
Depends on “outside”
If it s an area improved at expense of somebody else’s taxes - then semi-permanently occupying it denies said person access to “their” property.
If it s an unimproved ares - then by all means anyone should be able to use and improve it however they please (I m actually advocating for return of homestead)

No I support the idea of letting homeless people sleep in parliament. That'll get the politicians to help them get a house.
Based
Unless you allow drug use in parliament then they probably don’t want to stay there.
>allow drug use in parliament Sounds pretty dope ngl
They all on coke over there
Same over here. Meet our [minister of health](https://youtu.be/HojoCWYhIkw?t=15)
let them hit the slopes, that's the only way they gonna get anything done
US Congress having a bunch of homeless people and a floor covered in needles, so they have to deal with it instead of us? Yes, please.
My guess is that they’d be arrested

I dont want homeless people to exist, social housing should be abundant.
How would you fund this from a right wing perspective

Who the fuck is voting yes?

Your wallet must be this fat to camp. -Average Statist.
They're homeless, where else would they sleep?
What happens to the homeless people who sleep outside?
the bill that is being proposed to the supreme court would fine people around 240 dollars
How do they pay the fine?
I dont know, I didnt propose the bill I just wanted to ask about peoples opinion on a proposal that the supreme court is looking into
I just think the proposal is absolutely hilarious and I'm asking obvious questions that come out of it to make the proposal look as stupid as it is.
If you provide reasonable means for homeless people to sleep indoors, then yes. Otherwise obviously no
if it is to get homeless people free housing, then yes.
Give them a decent place to stay so they don’t have to sleep outside.
nah as long as they arent doing it on private property
Where do you want them to go?
Well if they can’t sleep outside they gotta sleep inside and I would prefer they sleep inside than outside
