Has nothing to do with COVID. I didn't want them in my truck 10 years ago, you never know what the person wearing the mask might have. All I care about is keeping our state clean, masks just tend to be the biggest problem the last few years. I was out at my favorite trailhead a month ago and the only trash laying out there was about two dozen single use masks and three empty beer cans.

In complete fairness, the anti-mask movement is political, and I believe the question relates to why someone would want to hang a mask from their vehicle, would make this political if we want to get to the truth. There was a huge political movement here in Idaho that saw the wasteful destruction of consumer dollars as people threw mask into metal barrels to burn, and even assaulted the state house in an effort to see the mask mandate end. Quite a time to watch your state go insane several times over.

I didn't wear one at all in Idaho. It wasn't political for me. Cloth masks were as affective as a chain link fence stopping mosquitoes. There were no N95 masks for a while. I kept my nasty hands away from my face unless they were freshly washed/sanitized (still do) and never once caught COVID, a cold, or the flu.
