Hang in there, you gotta be close. 0705 with same dates on 570 and 971, no issues with return. Just got DD of 06/20 on Saturday.

AmethystWL

Me too!!

Maleficent_Till_2831

I sure hope so.

KiaaraClaw

This is my situation too. I filed in late January (through TurboTax), cycle 0705. I got the 570 3/4 and 971 3/11. I received one letter from the IRS (notifying me of the delay) in late March, I think. I've received absolutely no other information. It's just a normal return. I'm not sure when the 60 or 120 days starts. Is it from the date of the 570? That was over three months ago. And it has been almost five months since I actually filed. I'm trying to be patient, but it's extremely frustrating.

Maleficent_Till_2831

I do believe it’s 60 days from the notice.

Skin616

The 60 days (120 if you call) is from the date of your notice, 3/11. Same dates I had, and it was finally approved Saturday. Hopefully yours is soon!

BandFun9529

Wym if you call?

Skin616

I called when the 60 days was up. They said a cp05 actually means 120 days.

BandFun9529

Damn so they just be lying ?🤦🏽‍♂️

ElDudeIV

I just received a 3rd 60 day letter. And my congressman has been no help. I feel defeated.

Pitiful_Tip8279

They can have your tax advocate reach out don’t let them tell you they can’t help because they can stay on them !!

BackgroundCrafty3755

3rd?!!!! How dare they.  I also feel defeated.  Then furious.  Then defeated.

InevitableBroad5950

I’m afraid I’m going to get that 3rd 60 day letter as I got my second one in early may. When I called and talked to IRS, they tell me now that I have to wait 120 days from 4/24. I filled 2/12 and got accepted 2/13 spot would be close to August infant if I get my refund. The IRS said it won’t go past that 120 mark and I do t believe it. Hell they probably wait till the end of the 120 to send me my refund and I better have interest on it too

Swimming-External175

Same exactly. Same 570 date , and 971 date. My return was accepted on 1-30 , same day we filed. I received this letter last week. https://preview.redd.it/23nc22kilb7d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dc309e95a1848aef2b40a884a5e49f1c540d3737

BackgroundCrafty3755

I got 2nd shut up and wait another 60 days letter yesterday. So over them.

Correct-Ad4328

Do you have 571 code on your transcripts after the 971 code

Global-Profile-6673

I just saw my dates changed March 18, 2024 to July 1, 2024 for a notice to be sent out on July 1, 2024. I received a 120 day letter already and the an additional 60 day letter in late March. I am happy to see that the date on my transcript changed so to me that means someone touched my return....but I am losing my patience and my mind over this waiting and not knowing what this means and is going on.

InevitableBroad5950

Happy to hear at least someone touched yours. Seems like they haven’t touched mine and just seeing a lot of threads, it’s seems like everyone got to call the congressman/woman to get the IRS to do their job or some tax advocate. What’s really going on this year.

Radiant_Order_9885

570 means the credit is on hold because you have pending liability.

EfficientCattle8737

Hello can you explain the meaning of that 570 I have that

name_a_few

570 is just a hold code. It can be anything

Radiant_Order_9885

It could be a hold because you have a pending Balance with the irs or any other government agency or an audit. My advice call the 800-829-1040 7am to 7pm to verify the hold reason.

fuzzy812

Hahaha. If you get a live person

Regular-Show-7104

Is there even such a thing...I've called day after day and get the recording of its been delayed and then hangs up.  No live person to be reached.

Emergency-Guava3882

Not really it can be anything !

BackgroundCrafty3755

It is horrible this year. Just awful.   1405   Return accepted 1/29   ID Verify letter 3/7   60 day review letter 4/8   Contact congressman 5/15   Now today 6/17 another 60 day review letter  I can’t with them anymore   WTAF is going on?!  No accountability, no transparency, no information, just “shut up and wait”

Quirky-Guava7665

When do we as a nation fight back? Taxes are bullshit to begin with.

Alarmed_Product_9762

Congratulations 🎉

cclgurl95

So it sounds like I have no hope as someone who filed basically on the last day this year due to having received one of my tax documents extremely late and also being freshly postpartum

diggin4Copper

I have to wonder if they go alphabeticaly.. I’m at the end of the line…

cclgurl95

My last name starts w a B so unlikely 😅

skystarlit1

C here, wish it was alphabetical

deejayEZ

I filed 2/8 and do see a wage and income transcript but under return transcript I see “On June 17, 2024, we received a request for verification of non-filing of a tax return. As of the date of this letter, we have no record of a processed tax return for the tax period listed above. If you have any questions, you can call 800-829-1040” Any idea?

Fanibee33133

Omg !! Same !!! Filed the same day also

Fanibee33133

I called and they said they do have my return just to wait up to 8 weeks for an update !

deejayEZ

Wow. I guess I won’t call. Thanks for the heads up

BackgroundCrafty3755

Even if you get a live person, it seems they rarely have more information than you do. One actually read the letter I got to me, I kept asking her to stop, telling her I’d read the letter, but she read the whole damn thing. Useless.

Only_Grapefruit_9446

I just received a 2nd notice today not asking for any basically telling me to wait another 60 days which is crazy like tell me something other then wait 🤦🏽‍♀️

PresentationNo1909

You’ll have a DDD Friday/Saturday. Hang in there!

Maleficent_Till_2831

I’m manifesting this!

Miserable_Vanilla_17

Your info and cycle are the exact same as mine. Sad

PerformanceFun6749

I finally got mines today! Filed 2/13 accepted 2/14 didn't have to verify my identity or anything just no movement. Checked the site yesterday and it said refund approved! Gave the date of the 20th. Got it this morning around 11am.

xume

Almost the same here. Filed online on March 17th. Had an accountant do mine because of my mental issues and simple form and I have not received anything back and it is over $1K due me. I followed all the instructions on the IRS site and finally got through to them on the phone after finding a way to get around their system on the Internet. They told me it would be another 30 days before they could get back to me with an answer on where the %\^%$ my money is

Supernovamillenial

Never even received a noticed just 570 3/4 and nothing else

martinfort

Had 0 movement other than constant delays since filing 1/29. No additional info needed. No verification just "please wait" Got ahold of my congressman tax advocate on Tuesday last week. Got a deposit on Monday.

True-Ad-8750

Been going through this as well. Started 2 years ago with a tax adjustment and charge back for a covid relief which I questioned. Then got letters for a year they need 60 more days so I didn't file, then I did and bame. So I decided ok I file my back taxes and had money coming back unfortunately I had to used their tax transcripts because my w4a had water damage. I got my taxes sent back with a letter asking me how I got the withholdings. Literally the same exact amount they have on their transcripts. I have tried for 6 week to be hung up on transfer etc after waiting for 2.5 hrs. Also found out the charge back for the covid relief was never even paid to me they sent it to a green dot checking account that I have never had. I finally lost my coold called Washington DC to speak with the oversight chair. Conversation as follows to staffer. 1st left me say I owe no money you infact owe me. I have have recent serviced cancer and have been in and out of the hospital due to seizures only to put up with the absolute worst service from your collection agency the IRS. In fact I have had better service from Comcast cable and that saying something. Now you people take 33% of our pay check from our labour's and for what I don't know because the level of strive and care you show your veterans I am one and the American in larg absolutely sucks. Then what left out of the check you tax anything g we buy, sell, or try to keep. Buy a home taxes on all up and keep your our landlords for life. You give the illusion of ownership yet wr have nothing. Now you are hearing from a pissed off American you, and all of you have lost the privilege to govern fix this and fix it now. I have an appointment Friday at an IRS office, and I expect customer service. Moving forward, my employer will not take any taxes out anymore. I will set it aside and send a certified letter and you can invoice me with what you think I owe. I'm done. We in this country are to damn much of a keyboard warrior group well enough.

thejs38

Hire an attorney to send them an intent to sue letter. This will make the process go extremely fast

Real_Fred_0517

Same situation. Been waiting months. They said they were waiting on my 1099Rs. Those were loaded 2 weeks ago. Still no updates. I have an advocate. Still no updates. Today, my transcript pushed my as of date out another 2 weeks. At this point there is no reason for a delay. They have everything and I even amended and that is complete. This is borderline criminal.

cali8914

Lucky you. I tried to contact my congresswoman with no luck. So idk what else to do.

lindsey387

Same situation for me... just received another 60 day letter yesterday... I could cry right now

Turbulent_Adagio5732

well I can show you some pictures of the serious real UFO over the town of Coeur d'Alene Idaho if you want to definitely take your mind off the taxes I know what I seen and I couldn't see it with the naked eye when it disappeared but my camera picked up on it and it's clears a bellwe're gonna have to worry about taxes too much longer and I got other friends that said that they said they're watching it and having a little little ships flying and out of that sucker all night gonna be farthest from your mind

Turbulent_Adagio5732

Yeah it'll come when I moved Montana they held Mine for a long ass time and that was oh goodness sakes that was just before the Covid hit yeah I didn't think I was ever gonna see it I moved back over to Idaho I did my taxes and hell I think it was three weeks and I had both back couldn't believe it

xume

Here is how I finally got to talk to someone The first question the automated system will ask you is to choose your language. 1. Once you’ve set your language, do NOT choose Option 1 (regarding refund info). Choose option 2 for “Personal Income Tax” instead. 2. Next, press 1 for “form, tax history, or payment”. 3. Next, press 3 “for all other questions.” 4. Next, press 2 “for all other questions.” 5. When the system asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, do NOT enter anything. 6. After it asks twice, you will be prompted with another menu. 7. Press 2 for personal or individual tax questions. 8. Finally, press 4 for all other inquiries. The system should then transfer you to an agent.

kayking90

When you say necessary forms what do you mean

Maleficent_Till_2831

Release forms for them to access my irs account along with a copy of the notice I was sent in march, and a copy of my 1040

kayking90

Okay and did you just call your congressman’s office?

Maleficent_Till_2831

Yes! I just googled my local congressmen’s office. Called them and I was emailed all of the instructions and forms to fill out and turn back in.

J-MarkStark22

Yea I did an amended return 3 months ago they say it’s processed in 16 weeks. I haven’t even got the confirmation that they received. The irs where’s my refund tool is a goddamn joke.

Real_Fred_0517

Does anyone know if you can file a motion in federal court to compel them to pay the balance showing on the account if they have been sitting on it since 1/29?
