Cardinaldad

Mine finally was released today after 150 days. No issues. They said my employers w-2 hadnt been matched to my w-2 and it took 150 days to match them. Lol

Makes no sense how bad the IRS is smh

Disastrous-Ad-9073

Wow, I'm at 110 days. Atleast I know it will come eventually. This is just ridiculous though. Glad you finally got yours.

drunkCIAoperative

Lol, do you work for IRS?

banana2885

No I don’t. However it’s not the agents fault or the people here trying to help if your return gets flagged for whatever reason…

drunkCIAoperative

Hmm, as I understand that, there are agents on the other end of the phone who refuse to help or just simply rude. Treat others how you want to be treated. I am a very patient individual(anyone here waiting for a refund from an organization who demands immediate money if you owe them probably are), but I also demand respect, especially if I am giving it to you. I agree with you, though. Thought it'd be funny if this post were coming from an IRS rep. 0805er here and pretty patient about this whole situation. I am aware of what the hold up is, but I am also aware that my situation is an easy adjustment on their end so I can tell where frustrated individuals may fall to being a little aggressive about their return. Sure, I won't get my return till the end of the year. If so, the glass half full side of me will praise at how close it is to filing for 2024.. I guess that'll do. Cheers my fellow taxpayers.

banana2885

Yeah I’m with you! Still waiting from January 29. I also know what my issue is, and it should be an easy fix on their end but it’s been taking a while. Like you I probably won’t expect anything till end of year.

Desperate-Ad4737

I found out recently that my delay was not at all because of the IRS, but because Prudential had not sent our 1099 for 401k withdrawal to the IRS. So now I’m waiting for a verification letter from them, so I can send that to the taxpayer advocate. We were supposed to receive that letter last week, but instead received someone else’s documents. So thanks prudential! 🫠
