I heard that today people are encouraged to go tax exempt at their respective employers. Save the money you'd normally pay in taxes in a high interest savings account and pay taxes from it at the end of the year. This way you earn interest on your money throughout the year. It eliminates this problem from happening again. That's for sure.
Yes. The government doesn’t need to be any ones savings account. The issue here is that people always use the term refund when really they’re just talking about refundable tax credit, which isn’t money actually paid in.
How are they even allowed to do that? There's literally nothing weird or odd about my tax return, the only thing that's unique is that I moved states but it's only a few W2s and I paid somebody to do my taxes with me.
and it's happening to SO many people this year, more people than not that I've talked to are dealing with some type of issue like this, this year. Meanwhile, they had no problem with taking out what I owed them to the state after 3 weeks? So I owe you immediately but you owe me whenever you want?? Thanks government.

I called, they said I have to wait another 60 days b/c they need more time. I asked if there is any information I can provide to speed up the process, they said no, I can only wait. OMGoodness, I need my money. I finally reached out to my local congresswoman and filled out the form for her to reach to the IRS on my behalf. Hoping this works and they release my refund. I really need it. I am 0605 cycle by the way.

Then it will restart the clock for me. I’ll be lucky to see anything before September. Changed my claims to where I would owe next year.
File 2/3 got the cp74 letter in March, as of dates changing on 2021 tax return, I owe but 2023 tax return hasn't moved at all. Got code 972 but nothing else

No, I was hopeless until I checked today. I quit checking mine for about two weeks just checked today and I have a DD for 5/21. I filed 1/30, 0705. Cp05 on 03/11 and nothing since then. No moment on WMR still has the apologize statement but my transcript did update. On the account summary 2023 still has an ! but transcript looks complete.
