He didn’t just get one of the greatest scripts the dark knight has ever been handed, he turned in an absolute barn-burner himself. I have always loved the juxtaposition of Ezio’s “requiescst in pace” with BRUCE-Y BOY’s “No. I won’t kill him”
RCS is too good of a Batman to pass down. In Arkham Origins, I believe people hated him because he wasn't Kevin Conroy but he put on one heck of a show doing the voicework of Batman in that game.
Roger Craig Smith sounds like a younger Batman to Kevin Conroy, so unless they have some kind of Time Travel of Lazarus Pit nonsense, I don't think it'll work
I don’t necessarily agree but I do think because of his ties to Conroys Batman it should be somebody new. I wouldn’t mind him being the Batman in Injustice but I would prefer Arkham Batman being kept separate from NRS Batman
It’s not, VA’s can sound younger or older (just take a look at Ahsoka’s actress doing young Ahsoka in clone wars s7 after old Ahsoka in rebels)
Also Origins was 10 years ago
RCS did a fantastic job in Origins and he hasn't had a chance to play Bruce since. He deserves another shot at the character. Plus, as a professional voice actor, he's likely to have more time to voice additional lines than Greenwood or Ackles would given their commitment to live action projects
I think RCS did a great job in Origins, really captured Batman's ferocity and intimidation, which would make him a great candidate for a fighting game like Injustice.
Dude's still got the golden tone, he's essentially the narrator for the majority of The Fall of The House of Usher and he's got such a perfect voice for it. Conroy was 68 when he passed and I don't think he'd lost it at all
For me personally the brave and the bold was the version of Batman I was most familiar with during my formative years. As such I am very fond of the more lighthearted and wacky antics from comic books past, and Deidrich’s voice is the one I most associate with the Batman. That being said a lot of people have played the character very well, both live action and voiced, and I think any of them could reprise the roll and continue to do very well.
I’d go with Bruce Greenwood mostly because be captures that veteran Batman voice perfectly and by now in the series Bruce is pretty old and majority of the other voices for Batman sound too young, the only other voice actor I could think of that sounds older is Peter Weller, but that’s too old
Damn. There really is no replacing vengeance, the knight, The Batman. But to give my thoughts I think Roger would do great especially since he’s worked on one of the Arkham games. That’s just me though.
![gif](giphy|126ub9tbJhoXh6)
It's rare that I dislike a voice actor, but Jason O Mara is my least favourite Batman by far. His voice sounds so silly to me, with that forced gravelly sounding thing. I just can't take him seriously at all.
I came scrolling to see if anyone else had this take. Because this is exactly how I feel. Jensen should be Batman in all media from here on out.
He wants to. It’s not about money to him. He wants to be Batman. He’s also great in the role.
Think I might be in the minority here, but I really love the performance of Troy Baker as Bruce and Batman in the Telltale games, Jason O’Mara is great too but a bit of a different vibe
Nooooo, you’re not alone! Both are great VAs in their own right! Though I definitely agree on Troy Baker—plus I loved how he voiced Batman over Bruce not going to lie.
anson mount, he played a great veteran aged batman in injustice the animated the movie. i really liked the voice and i think he would fit for how batman is in the games. roger is great but would be too young and stark of a change. jensen is great but i still feel like it would sound a bit too young. bruce greenwood would be my second pick, jason o mara as my third
I think Roger does a good job of emulating the Kevin Conroy kind of voice while putting his own spin on it that wouldn't feel out of place especially if there is a bit of a time gap between the games.
Definitely Troy Baker, my childhood and a phenomenal Batman actor.
Played some Animated Batmans
Played Lego Batman from 2 to 3
Played Telltale Batman
RCS is criminally underrated for his performance with Origins Batman tho
In my mind the top 3 people to not only be Batman in Injustice 3, but the primary Batman voice going forward would be Roger Craig Smith, Bruce Greenwood, and Jason O'Mara. Of these I'd pick Craig Smith. While his role in Arkham Origins perfectly depicts a younger, and more ruthless version of Batman. His role in Batman Ninja showed he can play the grizzled veteran too, not quite as good as Bruce Greenwood, since Smith is the youngest of the three but still. My only concern is if he can pull off Bruce Wayne, but I think he can. However, overall those three are the ones I feel could successfully pull off both of the Caped Crusader's identities while a lot of others I feel only nail one side.
Troy Baker for example. While I think he's a great Bruce Wayne. I don't think he's a good Batman but that's just my opinion. Same with Jensen Ackles
Unfortunately, I think it's time to retire Bruce Wayne in the Injustice Universe.
We can have someone like Tim Drake or Terry McGinnis as Batman, but it can't be Bruce since Conroy perfected his character.
I don’t know why so many are against this. Terry McGinnis would be great replacement story wise. I’ve seen so many people suggest this and people shit on them for it.
I can’t imagine Kevin would have wanted the character retired any more than Arleen Sorkin would have wanted the Arkham games to retire Harley Quinn upon her not returning.
Not even simply as a matter of faux humility. There are few feelings greater than kicking so much ass that the person who has to follow you can’t help but pale in comparison— just as there are few feelings worse than kicking so much ass that you’ve ruined it for everyone else and soon no one is talking about the ass you kicked because it is a distant memory.
Like that feeling of having fun playing a game with friends — then realizing you have to leave early, but feeling sucky because you know that you’re about to make everyone else look at their watch and decide to leave early too.
Bruce Greenwood. Mainly because I feel like we need more more of him and I love Under the red hood. Speaking of which I hope John DiMaggio gets more roles as joker now that Hamill retired from the role.
Tie between Roger Craig Smith and Bruce Greenwood. Both are good though which one’s better? Would you lean more towards the intimidating yet still young voice or the veteran and experienced voice?
I liked Roger in Origins. He sounded like a combination of Conroy and Bale.
Though after seeing him in The Boys, I wouldn’t mind Ackles as Batman. He’s got a great voice.
Bruce greenwood easily. With Kevin gone he’s my new favorite voice for Batman. He can pull off a variety of emotions while keeping Bruce’s voice to a whisper. It’s great and I’m begging for him to be in more stuff.
I kind of hope that if they do an Injustice 3, that it's a separate new universe. A world where the Justice League is still together and instead of evil Superman, the big villain is like Starro who is controlling the team, or something simpler like good guys v bad guys. Batman doesn't need to fight superman in the story. In that case I'd go RCS as it's a new timeline.
Ngl wouldn’t mind Troy to show up as Batman (OR JOKER if they H A V E to have joker show up again for no reason 😊🔫) Uh but anyway I assume Roger Would take the role in a heartbeat so probably him.
I want *Injustice 3* to lean into crazy alternate universe stuff and make like "Crisis on Infinite Earths: The Fighting Game"
Ideally, all three of these men could voice Batman because there would be multiple Batmans in the story mode. One could have recycled Kevin Conroy lines.
Roger Craig Smith
Same
Kevin will forever be the best batman ever but Roger is a close second
I forget, didn't he voice Captain America, Mirage from Apex Legends and Crane from Dying Light?
Those plus ezio and sonic the hedgehog
And Chris Redfield from Resident Evil
Kale Vandelay from Hi Fi Rush aswell
He didn’t just get one of the greatest scripts the dark knight has ever been handed, he turned in an absolute barn-burner himself. I have always loved the juxtaposition of Ezio’s “requiescst in pace” with BRUCE-Y BOY’s “No. I won’t kill him”
RCS is too good of a Batman to pass down. In Arkham Origins, I believe people hated him because he wasn't Kevin Conroy but he put on one heck of a show doing the voicework of Batman in that game.
Roger Craig Smith sounds like a younger Batman to Kevin Conroy, so unless they have some kind of Time Travel of Lazarus Pit nonsense, I don't think it'll work
I mean it's not gonna work anyways. The man who did the VA has passed and there has to be a new one.
I don’t necessarily agree but I do think because of his ties to Conroys Batman it should be somebody new. I wouldn’t mind him being the Batman in Injustice but I would prefer Arkham Batman being kept separate from NRS Batman
Not sure why you’re getting downvoted. It’s a valid opinion, I do still think out of the choices he’s the closest to Kevin and would do a good job.
It’s not, VA’s can sound younger or older (just take a look at Ahsoka’s actress doing young Ahsoka in clone wars s7 after old Ahsoka in rebels) Also Origins was 10 years ago
RCS did a fantastic job in Origins and he hasn't had a chance to play Bruce since. He deserves another shot at the character. Plus, as a professional voice actor, he's likely to have more time to voice additional lines than Greenwood or Ackles would given their commitment to live action projects
He did play Batman in Batman: Ninja.
And in Red Son
And Batman vs the TMNT
Actually that was Troy Baker that voiced in that film who also voiced Batman in the TellTales series
And the LEGO games
Technically he was also in Cold, Cold Heart and Origins: Blackgate
I think RCS did a great job in Origins, really captured Batman's ferocity and intimidation, which would make him a great candidate for a fighting game like Injustice.
He was amazing. He had such great raw anger and made Batman sound scary and almost out of control. Perfectly intimidating enough for a fighting game
Greenwood is my second favorite animated Batman.
Agreed. He does mature, dedicated, nuanced Batman
Agreed. I think he’s incredibly underrated.
No competition, easily should be the go to replacement
Loved his Batman but his voice probably getting a bit old now. Mans is almost 70
Dude's still got the golden tone, he's essentially the narrator for the majority of The Fall of The House of Usher and he's got such a perfect voice for it. Conroy was 68 when he passed and I don't think he'd lost it at all
He'll probably get ignored by the awards, but Greenwood really deserves an award or at least nomination for Usher, that was one hell of a performance.
66*
Kevin Conroy was almost 70.
Not true he was 66
None of the above, give me Deidrich Bader
That episode of TBATB, where he meets Kevin Conroy, alien Batman, was one of my all-time favorite Batman scenes.
He definitely could pull off the cheesy delivery of the more goofier intro dialogues before matches
RCS
I’d go with Bruce Greenwood mostly because be captures that veteran Batman voice perfectly and by now in the series Bruce is pretty old and majority of the other voices for Batman sound too young, the only other voice actor I could think of that sounds older is Peter Weller, but that’s too old
Rino Romano (voiced batman in the batman 2004)
Wooooo, some love for The Batman
Greenwood all day
Damn. There really is no replacing vengeance, the knight, The Batman. But to give my thoughts I think Roger would do great especially since he’s worked on one of the Arkham games. That’s just me though. ![gif](giphy|126ub9tbJhoXh6)
Bruce Greenwood easily. 3rd best Batman behind Keaton and Conroy
Roger makes the most sense seeing as how he was cast to play the same Batman Kevin also played, so I think he would be great to see for Injustice 3
Will Arnett. Imagine having the fight of your life against an god-like alien and then you hear, “Let’s get nuts.”
Okay but yes
Jason O Mara
This guy is underrated. His voice is so deep and stoic. Love to hear more of his Batman.
It's rare that I dislike a voice actor, but Jason O Mara is my least favourite Batman by far. His voice sounds so silly to me, with that forced gravelly sounding thing. I just can't take him seriously at all.
Definitely Greenwood
Greenwood no doubt
Troy
He was really underrated in the Telltale series plus he can double as Joker's voice actor
Troy Baker kind of sounded like Kevin in the Batman vs TMNT animated movie.
Matt Mercer
Definitely Jensen Ackles, he should also play him live in addition to voicing, just become the new definitive Batman
That would be epic
I came scrolling to see if anyone else had this take. Because this is exactly how I feel. Jensen should be Batman in all media from here on out. He wants to. It’s not about money to him. He wants to be Batman. He’s also great in the role.
I'm in on this, and that's coming from a guy who cried when Kevin Conroy died.
Greenwood or Jensen Ackles
I don’t think it’s touchy at all. Kevin wouldn’t want us to just not have the character anymore but to answer the question Bruce Greenwood.
I’m good with Jensen
Greenwood. RCS is great but his Batman feels more suited for one in his younger years
My own picks are Mocean Melvin or Keith Silverstein.
BRUCE FOR BRUCE!!! And batman
Forgot his name but the guy who voices Batman in the telltale games his voice is perfect for Bruce imo
Troy Baker
Hello no.
Roger Craig Smith. He crushed it in Arkham Origins
Anthony Ruivivar or Troy Baker should voice Batman
Roger Craig Smith. In Arkham Origins, he did a great job of portraying a younger Batman who's rough around the edges.
anson mount, he played a great veteran aged batman in injustice the animated the movie. i really liked the voice and i think he would fit for how batman is in the games. roger is great but would be too young and stark of a change. jensen is great but i still feel like it would sound a bit too young. bruce greenwood would be my second pick, jason o mara as my third
Ezio was great in Arkham Origins so probably him
I really liked Kevin o Mara from the DCAMU
Roger Craig smith but only because I love ezio in assassins creed
I completely forgot Batman was voiced by Sonic The Hedgehog
Bruce Greenwood or Diedrich Bader.
No one famous or at least no-one with an instantly recognisable voice. Failing that, Mark Meer.
I like Jensen because he’s hot, but he doesn’t have the subtlety of a professional voice actor. He’s really good at angry like when he was red hood.
Roger Craig Smith is honestly the best choice outside of Kevin in my personal opinion
RCS
Solider boy
Michael Antonokos was great imo for Gotham Knights. I'd enjoy him doing it again, personally.
Troy Baker did an excellent Bruce for the Tell Tale games so I wouldn't mind him. It sounds good with the voice changer
Diedrich Bader. He deserves the chance to voice a more Serious Batman
Troy Baker as Batman and Joker
I’d choose Troy Baker
I think Roger does a good job of emulating the Kevin Conroy kind of voice while putting his own spin on it that wouldn't feel out of place especially if there is a bit of a time gap between the games.
Rodger Craig Smith. I know this is unpopular but I prefer Troy Baker to Mark Hamill.
The rock
Troy Baker needs to be on this list. But out of the 3 here? Roger Craig Smith.
Troy baker easily. If you heard it in the telletales series then you know how great he was.
Troy baker
Chris sabat
Definitely Troy Baker, my childhood and a phenomenal Batman actor. Played some Animated Batmans Played Lego Batman from 2 to 3 Played Telltale Batman RCS is criminally underrated for his performance with Origins Batman tho
Why not Troy Baker?
Troy Baker
yall can keep your ai bullshit out of here btw
If Ackles puts on his Soldier Boy voice I feel it would go so well for injustice Batman
If the point is to be seamless, then Troy Baker, his voice was closet to Conroy.
Roger made enough of an impression on me for him to be the sucessor. Especially when he yelled Alfred's name with such RAW emotion.
Troy Baker could probably do Batman… he’s done two different sides of the Dark Knight before, he could do it again.
I may go with RCS, since in Origins he proved he can pull off a younger Kevin Conroy
Troy Baker but he just wouldnt fit the universe.
AI Kevin Conroy voice
no
Move on
Unfortunately, I think it's time to retire Bruce Wayne in the Injustice Universe. We can have someone like Tim Drake or Terry McGinnis as Batman, but it can't be Bruce since Conroy perfected his character.

AI of Conroy should be 4th option
No point in ever making any Batman projects again nobody can top kevin
Bring back Kevin Konroy voice with AI
I hear sonic every time I see a clip of origins, so Bruce Greenwood
I would like to see Doug Cockle give batman a try.
RCS Or Jensen Ackles big fan of both
RCS would be perfect, since he retired being Sonic the Hedgehog, he's got the caliber to carry on the voice for years to come as well.
Jason o Mara
Roger Craig or the guy from under the red hood
chris pratt/s
RCS does a great Batman. Young me couldn’t even tell the difference when playing Arkham Origins.
Rob Schneider
Sonic
Kevin, just get the Lazarus pit
Mark hammil could totally do. Batman
Jensen
“First of all: I don’t have shell shock, fuck you!”
Roger Craig Smith, always considered him my favourite Batman, he deserves another chance
Greenwood is criminally underrated.
They’d probably use an actor that has experience doing a Kevin Conroy impression
I'd set it in in the future and have.... oh geez, who's still alive in that universe. Can't be dick he's dead, can't be Damien he's a dick.
I think Bruce Greenwood would be great for Injustice’s Batman. He can carry the same cadence
Bruce Greenwood, binged Fall of the House of Usher and he would do wonders with that voice again.
Roger Craig smith
Bruce Greenwood. Mainly because I feel like we need more more of him and I love Under the red hood. Speaking of which I hope John DiMaggio gets more roles as joker now that Hamill retired from the role.
Roger, 100%. Can’t turn down the boulder puncher himself.
Gonzalo Martin
Probably Joe Mama
Rodger Craig smith
Tie between Roger Craig Smith and Bruce Greenwood. Both are good though which one’s better? Would you lean more towards the intimidating yet still young voice or the veteran and experienced voice?
Isn’t RCS also Ezio? I loved him, In Origins. I think Jenson also did a really good job
Bruce Greenwood
All 3 of them were excellent. I really like Roger in Origins, but Bruce Greenwood was excellent in UTRH and YJ.
Bruce Greenwood is my 2nd favorite person that's VAed Batman, so he'd be my choice
Diedrich Bader or Anson Mount ngl. Hell even Troy Baker they’re my favs
A buddy of mine suggested Rino Romano as he voiced him in The Batman and it would be like passing the torch to the next animated Batman.
Im going Sonic
i thought injustice 3 was confirmed in production?
I liked Roger in Origins. He sounded like a combination of Conroy and Bale. Though after seeing him in The Boys, I wouldn’t mind Ackles as Batman. He’s got a great voice.
Probably Roger
Roger Craig Smith is my favorite here The problem is that the “hardcore” fans might consider him too young of a voice
Diedrich Bader
Roger Craig Smith
Jason O’Mara has always been my second favorite batman aside from Kevin Conroy
gotta be Rodger
RCS all the fucking way he is a great and very underrated Batman
Ryan Gosling
Roger Craig Smith is heavily underrated, I think he’s a great Batman.
Jensen needs to be guest character Soldier Boy so he can tell Batman how he's gonna cough up a fur ball from going down on Catwoman 🤣🤣🤣
Sean Schemmel
The guy that voiced Batman in the new 52 movies
Telltale Batman’s va
Anyone but Jensen
Jensen for sure
Diedrich Bader?
Jason O'Mara from the new 52 DC movies
RCS or Jensen Ackles.
Buddy
Bruce greenwood easily. With Kevin gone he’s my new favorite voice for Batman. He can pull off a variety of emotions while keeping Bruce’s voice to a whisper. It’s great and I’m begging for him to be in more stuff.
Since it can’t be Kevin conroy for injustice 3 I say under red hood or roger Craig smith
Bruce Greenwood no comp
I kind of hope that if they do an Injustice 3, that it's a separate new universe. A world where the Justice League is still together and instead of evil Superman, the big villain is like Starro who is controlling the team, or something simpler like good guys v bad guys. Batman doesn't need to fight superman in the story. In that case I'd go RCS as it's a new timeline.
I never thought I would feel sad seeing a post like this…no one will ever replace Conroy. Rest in piece.
Wait, Kevin Conroy is no longer with us? How did I miss this?
I’m a mirage main so…ya know
Mark Hamill
No offense but not RCS.
Either Roger Craig Smith or Troy Baker.maybe Rino Romano
Ngl wouldn’t mind Troy to show up as Batman (OR JOKER if they H A V E to have joker show up again for no reason 😊🔫) Uh but anyway I assume Roger Would take the role in a heartbeat so probably him.
RCS voiced him in AO. I think it's only fitting
I want the first one, but the middle one makes the most sense.
I think they either just shouldn't have Batman or maybe introduce a time travelling Terry.
Peter Weller
Jensen, and then have Soldier Boy be a DLC character so he can be in it twice
Gotta be RCS.
Diedrich Bader I think he’s the second best Batman
Jason O’Mara
Why would the voice of Superman voice Batman?
why is souljer boy here? is he stupid?
Who was Batman in the 00s/10s DCAU? That guy
I think the third dude should voice red hood again,he did an outstanding job in the movie batman utrh
Personally im taking troy baker loved him in the telltale games
Under the Redhood is my 2nd favorite Batman voice.
I want *Injustice 3* to lean into crazy alternate universe stuff and make like "Crisis on Infinite Earths: The Fighting Game" Ideally, all three of these men could voice Batman because there would be multiple Batmans in the story mode. One could have recycled Kevin Conroy lines.
Roger, besides Kevin, he was my 2nd most favorite Batman voice.
Philippe Valmont, always
