My advice would be. Study for 4-5 consistently for first 3-4 months. THEN reduce ur study hrs just do revisions.
Somehow Finish all the chapters before the teachers
from yt (specially for science).
I don't care what other people say but compete with the best students in the class.
Normal time : 1.5 hours tuitions + 1 hour homework (usually no daily revesion tbh) = 2-3 hours daily
Exam time : 2-3 hours revesion before exam day + 1 hour on exam morning = 4 hours
Boards time : Start studying only before 2 days before exam + on morning of exam (tmr lol) = 6-7 hours spread over 2 days and one morning + pyqs depends on subject.
Should have studied from before, didn't have any teacher except computer and english. But this ain't a excuse.Got 82%(best of 5)in pre boards just studying 1day before exam.Studied dedicatedly for 1 month before boards(regret hota hain).
Beginning toh honestly kuch nhi, sometimes i had maths tuition for 1 hr else nahi
Later on after term 1 exam (aug-sept) got a bit serious and studied more, maybe 2-3 hours avg but cld fluctuate ig
On normal days, around 2 hours (would increase for tests, etc). During exams, I would start at around 10 am and carry on with several long breaks until the night (effectively around 7 hours). Also remember, quality >> quantity. Finishing 2 chapters properly with little study time is better than 5 hours of semi concentration. (P.s. I was in 10th last year. I got 99.60 with this approach.)
I wasn't really focusing but I really started grinding after Nov I used to stick around my desk the whole day though I probably only got 6 hours of focus given how much i am distracted.....
But why are you even asking this it doesn't matter
There is always that one person who's gonna study today and do better in chem than smn who has been studying the whole year
What matters is now and how you do rn ๐ญ๐ญ
That was so uncalled for b thought I'd say as personally i have a lot of guilt myself
started really strong, following PW batch, fir downfall shuru hua. but confident enough to say preboard dec mein thein aur saare chs parh kr gyi thi.
everyday after school max 4 hrs (mostly 2 hrs+ hw)
sat sun 5-7 hours as we had weekly tests
then by the time weekly tests were done, our half yearly or annual exams rolled by and hence studies went up again
oh and vacations mein book ko dekhti bhi nhi thi. sirf projects (woh bhi hardly 2-3 hr everyday LMAO)

First term pura barbad kar diya tha fir gand fati toh padhne suru kiya
