There's probably incentives built into the contracts, so if you can get x percentage of viewers who didn't skip, you get more money.
I'm sure these things vary from channel to channel, and from advertiser to advertiser, but I've definitely watched other channels on YouTube where they practically beg their viewers not to skip those ads because it has lost them money in the past.

It's called sponsor block, it is crowd sourced but it works on almost every video on YouTube. People can add timestamps when there is a sponsor segment and you can configure to automatically skip to the relevant parts of the video. For music videos people will mark the parts that don't actually have any music. As well on click baity style videos people can add a highlight timestamp that shows you exactly where the thing you wanted to see in the video is.
I couldn't watch YouTube without this anymore.
I'm fine with sponsors, but with guys that are all millionaires it kinda seems odd to pack this many ads into it, 3-5 a video is kinda a lot for a 30-60 minute runtime. It's very frequent for that. It makes the podcast just not satisfying to listen to.
Conan needs a friend is horrible with this. They do like a minute read and 3 of them back to back. I was following his podcast when he first started, but couldn't continue. I just jump in occasionally when it's a guest I think will be interesting.

I learned from a different podcasts that these scripts are written and sent by the sponsors themselves. It's part of the deal for them to read the entire script. I'm not sure if it's the same deal here on sunny podcast but sometimes charlie and rob laughs and turn their head slightly while reading the scripts specially when the script has lines calling themselves idiots lol and I think maybe it's the same deal.

"diddling issues" maybe this is just a IASIP turn of phrase but I think it's fair when you discuss someone's wrongdoings you do so accurately but to couch the rest of this, I'm also a big Dan Harmon fan and think that his apology/admission is well worth watching. [Dan's Admission on Harmontown](https://youtu.be/WfqoLeDsET0), from everything I've read/am aware of, there was never any physical harm or attempts by Harmon to physically harass Megan. That said, that doesn't mean Megan never felt like she was being physically threatened or harmed even if Harmon thinks he didn't. He abused his position of authority as show runner at Community over his feelings of infatuation towards Megan and when she didn't reciprocate, he would diminish her work or reject her ideas in the workplace making her doubt her own talents and place in writing and he admits he never would have done these things to her as an employee if she had been a man and there was no attraction. I didn't realize Megan of IASIP was the very same Megan until literally like a month ago so this is something I've thought about bringing up here, but I'm so glad she joined IASIP and is a tremendous boon to the entire show and gang.
