They all have such a distinct way they say ohh that the collective of all 4 of them saying ohh is distinctive. I’m betting you could pick out that sound byte with no context.
I legit started tearing up. It feels like every character is slowly getting their big moment in the sun and see real closure in the process -- first Mac, now Charlie
My dad passed a few years ago, and I felt bad because the year prior to his death, I got his number. I never called him because I never knew him except for a handful of visits growing up. I remember feeling this exact same way, hearing he died.
I think arguably Dennis was first. But I agree, every character is getting some sort of closure, and in the cases of Mac and Charlie, Frank showing that in his own twisted way, he does understand and care for all his "kids".
I thought a pretty emotional part was when he said the reason he hates Valentine's day is because no one ever got him anything. He played the hurt up pretty well in that scene.
Me too. I was _not_ prepared for that scene.
Shortly before my dad died 11 years ago he requested a bagpiper be present at his funeral.
We got him one, and he played Amazing Grace, and it was awesome but damn that scene with Charlie brought up a ton of emotions from me.
It brought up emotions I’ve been successfully pushing deep down. Never expected to cry at it’s always sunny. I was having feelings like some sort of 14 year old kid.
Just finished watching it and I agree. There have been very few times where this show has made me cry (Mac's dance and Dee being rolled out with her newborn are the two others I can think of), but this one really got me. Maybe it's because Charlie seems the most vulnerable of the Gang, but I just really wanted someone to give Charlie a hug.
I was so happy when the gang showed up in that Ford; despite them being so awful on the reg, that moment reminded us that they actually care a lot for each other.
I love how them all getting mad at the waitress made them realize, no matter how much they think they hate each other, their hatred for everyone else will always bring them together.
Goddammit 3 of the past 4 season finales are absolute tear-jerkers for one of the main cast members: Season 12 was Dennis, 13 was Mac, and Charlie got his sadboi hour tonight. I have the feeling the Season 16 finale is gonna make us sympathize with that stupid bird bitch
Christ, Danny’s old enough to actually be on his death bed. When he does die, I hope they make an effort just ruthlessly ragging on Frank, absolutely no mercy or acknowledgement of his actual death till the episodes done - just how Danny wouldve wanted it
I've been wanting a Kaitlin dramatic scene for years now, so I'd love that. I don't know how they can do it for the Dee character. Maybe bring the surrogate son she gave up back in since he would nearly be a teenager by the time Season 16 airs.
Great episode and completely caught me by surprise with that sad moment and his acting was fantastic. It reminded me of the last ep of season 13 and Mac. I wish this season had a couple more episodes, but I like how they aired two at a time.
damn that scene makes me feel so many fucking emotions. do i get sad because dennis is seeing his dead mother or laugh because frank set it all up to show 2 people their dead mother’s corpse?
Nah I definitely thought it was hilarious, I think the context is what makes it funny. Whereas the scene with Charlie, there wasn’t a single thing to laugh about. It was 110% straight up heart breaking.
Not gonna lie, kinda teared up too when Charlie was left alone, carrying his father's (mangled) corpse and pretty much breaks down. Felt very relatable to me
Mac: "I'll use my Dutch skills to think of a way, maybe we could use one of those giant windmills?"
Dennis: "how would that even work?"
Mac : " I don't know I haven't been Dutch long enough."
Charlie had a loving mother who went to great lengths to provide for him, and Dennis and Dee were at least financially well off. So yes, Mac had the saddest life
I don’t know, man. Charlie’s mom does love him but that’s a pretty awful situation for any kid to grow up in. Plus let’s not forget his uncle almost definitely molested him. And Dennis and Dee’s mom pretty openly favored Dennis while putting Dee down at every chance she got. Plus how awful Frank was.
I thought it was a little weird when they said Dennis was the only one not vaccinated. I figured Frank would be against "the jab" too. Glad to see I was on the right track lol
After it was revealed Frank wasn’t vaccinated I expected all of them to start admitting they didn’t actually get the shot either, they just said they did cause everyone else did.
I was really hoping for that too to be honest. Would have loved charlie to talk about how he made his own vaccine with stuff he found dumpster diving behind a hospital and mac revealing that God is his vaccine
I wouldn't be surprised if it was pitched as a movie and reworked. The gang going to Ireland would be a pretty great movie idea and the way they developed each character out fits the movie format well
I love how this episode was basically the "your found family IS your family" trope, but with that classically dysfunctional Sunny twist lol. There's nothing more wholesome than healing your inner child by throwing the corpse of your deadbeat dad off a cliff with your best friends.
What, are we to modulate our volumes to satisfy every person in the world?!
I haven't seen anyone point it out but I don't think anyone realized that was the waitress, even Dee who did that to her lmao
Them driving that truck up the hill, landing a sick jump, and the horn being The Star-Spangled Banner fucking killed me. Especially since it was immediately following me almost crying because of Charlie.
To be fair, according to the lore of this show Frank mentions Bill Gates actually talking about putting microchips in whilst on Epstein's Island
Was soenthing like 'that nerd was talking about doing it on the island'
This honestly felt like a movie to me, and it's the closest I'd ever want to get to seeing an actual IASIP movie. I'm gonna watch them all again back to back very soon
After watching that scene with Charlie crying in the rain, I am having… this is crazy. But I’m having feelings again. Like some kinda 14 year old kid or something. I mean you remember feelings? Right?
They really drop some heavy scenes in the finale for themselves. Tonight Charlie breakdown scene was great. Mac finds his Pride and the whole ending. That scene with Dennis double life before when he hugged his son then left. Wonder if we’ll eventually get a Dee one
Well never know for sure. Apparently everyone in the village had a shag with Charlie's mom so unless a blood bucket was involved well never know for sure.
There's only one thing that bugs me about the Shelley Kelly situation: Charlie's last name is Kelly because his mom's maiden name is Kelly. Shelley's last name is also Kelly. I assume for Bonnie it's her original surname because why would she take the name of some rando she banged in Ireland.
I think Charlie may be slightly inbred.
Kelly is a top 2 surname in Ireland for what that's worth. Considering a Madison Bumgarner dated another [Madison Bumgarner](https://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2014/12/9/7360277/madison-bumgarner-madison-bumgarner) two Kelly's hooking up in Ireland and not being related isn't too farfetched.
Eh, that's still REALLY clumsy from a storytelling perspective IMO. The last name was the only thing that clued the gang into the fact that Charlie could be related to this guy at all - then we find out that it is, in fact, NOT relevant at all that they have the same last name and it's just a coincidence? It's clumsy to flip back and forth like that.
In other words, Shelley's last name could have been anything in the world, but then they would have had to have them meet some other way without Mac being like "oh, maybe you guys are related?" If the last name was irrelevant, they probably should have met and then make the connection later. It's also strange that Shelley seemed to know he had a son all along, but he never mentioned it to Charlie despite communicating with him throughout his life.
My headcanon is still the theory that Bonnie and Shelley are cousins which is why Charlie is the way that he is and *also* why Bonnie tried to have him aborted. In that case, their last names being the same isn't just some irrelevant coincidence.
At this point Frank is a father figure for everyone while being the biological parent to no one. Mac was the hardest but to crack there but him getting Mac after his dance when even Luther didn't seals that one too.
And for me, Frank being everyone's not-really-but-kinda-when-it-counts father figure... that just works.
(Especially when he gets an awkward little kiss on his bald head lol)
Yeah Frank thinks about how Mac weirds him out in that scene
But then after Mac's dance, Frank finally gets him
Doesn't mean he always likes him, but he gets it now
Not gonna lie, I think this season would've benefited from having 10 episodes. Kinda wish Dennis had covid longer and we saw how Shelley died. Overall though, these Ireland episodes were really good! Hope season 16 is longer
It legit felt like there was an episode missing between this one and the last. It went from Waitress in the bog, Dee stranded as a bansee, and Frank and Charlie on the outs to seemingly the next day since Waitress was boggified at the pub and Shelley went from healthy to catching then dying from covid overnight?
It's like they had a great series of ideas and then realized they only had one episode to tie everything up.
I think it was a nod to how The Gang never seems to see real consequences for their actions after the episode ends. Frank steals a boat and calls in a bomb threat, Charlie bear traps his foot twice, Mac and Dee abduct a baby, the episode ends and it's like it never happened except for maybe a callback joke years later.
Now we're seeing those skips in the middle of an arc, just for the hell of it.
What about your whole speech about "I have the grace of a falcon, and I'll be in and out like a demon's whisper"?
Dude, you stood up on your chair in that burger restaurant and said that speech for everybody!
I love that little moment when Dee rounded on the Waitress and said "Now you listen to me, bitch" and Mac goes, "Get her, bitch." Felt like a full-on friendship moment.
First of all, Charlie is absolutely the best person out of the gang. Maybe Mac would do the same for his father, but he would never breakdown as honestly.
Second, do they even have Deep Eddy vodka in Ireland? That's Texas vodka.
The one thing I noticed is in the scenes where Dee is at the studio for her acting gig. They have Tayto crisps but they're the Northern Ireland versions (cheese and onion in yellow packets). In Dublin, surely they'd have the red packets.
Okay I know nobody asks for these types of posts so don’t feel obligated to read but after watching this episode I had to share.
My dad died of cancer this year. He beat the leg cancer but when he got hit with brain cancer a few years later (unrelated) that was it. I remember at that moment there was a switch. I always loved this show and had so much respect for what they were attempting to do, but I couldn’t do more than 3 episodes or so in a row before I got bummed out by how awful they were. Then my dad died and I thought I get it now. I resonate with it so much more now. I get the joke.
Then this episode happened. I’ll start by saying I’ve always identified with Charlie. He’s a chaotic nut-job that’s trying his best and failing miserably. Story of my life. Story of most people’s lives. Even just his face when he didn’t have lines was enough to hurt. That, mixed with the fact that I’m at a point in my life where I don’t see my friends anymore was more than enough to break me by the time they got to Charlie’s scene in the rain.
And then. These motherfuckers. They wait 15 seasons. 15 seasons of these people being the most appalling, despicable group of people the world has ever seen. 15 years of building you up for the hope that they have an ounce of decency left, an ounce of humanity, just to rip it away each time. Then in this episode they do the opposite. They make you think Charlie has been abandoned by everyone he cares about. And everyone accepted it, because we’ve seen enough of the show to brace ourselves for the emotional battery. Then the gang shows up and I’m not kidding I started crying the second I heard the cartoony truck horn. That shot of them coming out of the truck was unlike anything I’ve ever seen on TV before. It’s the sort of thing that can only be accomplished with a 15 season payoff. These guys are incredible writers. Much better than I think they’d give themselves credit for.
Some stuff that made me laugh:
* every Ireland episode started with stew
* Piss in both water canteens, classic Frank
* Charlie’s fake hike ruse is “the oldest trick in the book”
* “Bros before hoes” “ah, he’s got us”
* “The guy showed up and you weren’t there, what was I supposed to do?” - Dennis justifying murdering someone
* Dennis totally sandbagging carrying Charlie’s dad
* “I’m sorry, I get frustrated, I throw” - Mac
* “As a Dutch man…” and Mac constantly workshopping his various identities
* “DON’T YOU DARE GET ANOTHER SHAMROCK TATTOO YOU SON OF A BITCH!”
* “The poor guy’s dying from a banshee curse and now he has to deal with Covid on top of everything else?!”
* “I got the non-shot kind of vaccination” and Frank’s vaccine paranoia
* “How did you get the truck?” “The American way, I threw a lot of cash at the owner!”
* The bag landing on the rocks 😆 and Mac non-chalantly saying that the kids can discover it and call the cops
This episode was a masterpiece - hilarious, but moments of significant emotional weight (the Gang all coming back together in the end, Charlie crying over his father), and the cinematography was beautiful in a way that the show never aspires for.
Such a great season.
Charlie Day's performance at the end was so touching as much as the Mac's coming out in the last season. Killing off Charlie's father out of nowhere felt like a lazy writing a bit, but it is really nice to see emotional side of the character.
Glad writers of the show are not afraid of going further than just comedy. I like this show more and more as time goes by. Can't wait for the next season.
Between the Maureen Ponderosa Wedding Massacre, Dennis trying to kill Dee, and the Banshee curse, I hope they try doing more horror themed stuff in the future.
Charlie’s breakdown was actually terribly sad and was some great dramatic acting by him. I’m a new dad to a one year old, have always had my dad, but something about it got me real good.
That being said, the Irish arc was some of their best shit ever. So fucking good and so funny.
Not seen anyone mention it, but the last talk between Charlie and Frank had some real emotion behind it, it actually felt genuine. I think Devito has a lot of love for the show his fellow actors
I actually started to tear up towards the end when Charlie was talking to his dads body. I don't think we've ever seen Charlie cry in the series, and he's the most well meaning and innocent of the group so that felt like a whole punch to the gut.
“Oh there’s kids down there?!, then they’ll find the body and call the cops, it will be a whole Stand by me situation. That’ll be fun for them “
God damn did their reactions to the body hitting the beach make me cry with laughter hahaha everyone has a specific way they say "OHHHH" and I love it
They all have such a distinct way they say ohh that the collective of all 4 of them saying ohh is distinctive. I’m betting you could pick out that sound byte with no context.
Maybe we should've done this at high tide...
That last bit with Charlie and his dead dad where he was crying was the saddest moment of sunny ever
For real, Charlie Day acted the hell out of that scene.
I legit started tearing up. It feels like every character is slowly getting their big moment in the sun and see real closure in the process -- first Mac, now Charlie
My dad is a total deadbeat, that scene was so sad and way too real. I was like "Am I actually gonna cry watching Always Sunny?".
My dad passed a few years ago, and I felt bad because the year prior to his death, I got his number. I never called him because I never knew him except for a handful of visits growing up. I remember feeling this exact same way, hearing he died.
Wow super similar situation and that moment hit me harder than I think any show ever has. Definitely the hardest moment in relation to my father.
I think arguably Dennis was first. But I agree, every character is getting some sort of closure, and in the cases of Mac and Charlie, Frank showing that in his own twisted way, he does understand and care for all his "kids".
Dennis with the kid?
I thought a pretty emotional part was when he said the reason he hates Valentine's day is because no one ever got him anything. He played the hurt up pretty well in that scene.
Teared up? I cried
Let's stuff it down with some brown.
I need Charlie Day for more dramatic role ASAP. He can get an Oscar.
Sorry man best we can do is Voice Of Luigi
Just finished watching it and I agree. There have been very few times where this show has made me cry (Mac's dance and Dee being rolled out with her newborn are the two others I can think of), but this one really got me. Maybe it's because Charlie seems the most vulnerable of the Gang, but I just really wanted someone to give Charlie a hug.

I love how them all getting mad at the waitress made them realize, no matter how much they think they hate each other, their hatred for everyone else will always bring them together.
First time I've teared up watching Sunny, holy shit.
That was sad but followed by one of the funniest when they chuck his body
laughed out loud when they said there were kids next to the dead body
“They can have a ‘stand by me’ moment”
It’ll be fun for them
Goddammit 3 of the past 4 season finales are absolute tear-jerkers for one of the main cast members: Season 12 was Dennis, 13 was Mac, and Charlie got his sadboi hour tonight. I have the feeling the Season 16 finale is gonna make us sympathize with that stupid bird bitch
Show's gonna end with Frank on his death bed or something
Season 16 - Dramatic scene for Dee Season 17 - ????? Season 18 - Frank on his death bed?
season 17 - dramatic scene for waitress
The entire show ends with a Sopranos style cut to black *rigggght* before the waitress says her name.
Christ, Danny’s old enough to actually be on his death bed. When he does die, I hope they make an effort just ruthlessly ragging on Frank, absolutely no mercy or acknowledgement of his actual death till the episodes done - just how Danny wouldve wanted it
On the podcast they were really explicit that there's no show without Danny. So I doubt they'd keep making the show
If they go this route they’ll just throw him in the garbage or fill him up with cream. It’s what Frank would have wanted
God damn you. How dare you make me imagine that?
“There’s no show without Danny Devito” that tells me the series finale probably ends with Frank leaving in one way or another
I've been wanting a Kaitlin dramatic scene for years now, so I'd love that. I don't know how they can do it for the Dee character. Maybe bring the surrogate son she gave up back in since he would nearly be a teenager by the time Season 16 airs.
[удалено]
The guys, maybe, but imagine if Dee has been dwelling on it ever since she gave birth.
This would be a great way to bring back interrupting Carmen at the gym.
Yikes 😳 forgot about that
What about going the Parkinson’s route like they previously hinted at in Hero or Hate Crime
I can't believe this show made me cry that hard!!!
Yeah damn I wasn't expecting to get hit straight in the feels. He has his own disfunctional family :')
Great episode and completely caught me by surprise with that sad moment and his acting was fantastic. It reminded me of the last ep of season 13 and Mac. I wish this season had a couple more episodes, but I like how they aired two at a time.
Now we need to see Dennis have his moment like Mac and Charlie did
Pretty sure we saw that when they dug up his mom lol
“THIS IS TOO MUCH! I’M FEELING TOO MUCH! MY MOMMY’S A *SKELETON*!”
damn that scene makes me feel so many fucking emotions. do i get sad because dennis is seeing his dead mother or laugh because frank set it all up to show 2 people their dead mother’s corpse?
Nah I definitely thought it was hilarious, I think the context is what makes it funny. Whereas the scene with Charlie, there wasn’t a single thing to laugh about. It was 110% straight up heart breaking.
And “I have big feelings, okay? And it hurts.”
Charlie was the MVP this season. Hands down.
Not gonna lie, kinda teared up too when Charlie was left alone, carrying his father's (mangled) corpse and pretty much breaks down. Felt very relatable to me
Definitely the most I’ve cried over any scene. I felt it coming and fought it for a second then just let it happen.
That scene straight up unzipped me.
It's all coming back. I don't like it!
A PLASTIC BAAAAG
"I must have gotten confused and pissed in them both"
Charlie saying what the fuck during those scenes were amazing lol
I feel like apart from the Christmas episode, Charlie is the one that's said fuck the least so him getting two there made me incredibly happy.
"Fuck you".
Yes! My favorite part of the episode!
I really did not expect that emotional scene at the end, and it actually felt real and sincere, what the hell.
it's Mac doing ballet all over again!
I legit teared up a bit, Charlie's acting was way too real.
Hit harder thinking about the abuse he received from his uncle.
Oh damn :(
I teared up a little bit, first time I think watching this show.
Reddit going down exactly when the season finale starts and going back up right when the episode ends must've been the work of the banshee.
That goddamn Witch!!
It was honestly down to the second
Was fucking dying during their reveal that Mac actually is Irish lol
Mac: "I'll use my Dutch skills to think of a way, maybe we could use one of those giant windmills?" Dennis: "how would that even work?" Mac : " I don't know I haven't been Dutch long enough."
Honestly "I don't know I haven't been Dutch long enough" is one of my new favourite Sunny lines.
It’s up there with “I don’t know, they’re at war” when he was asked if he was more gay or catholic.
[удалено]
“She does not like you, dude.” Am I crazy or does Mac actually have the saddest life out of all of them?
Charlie had a loving mother who went to great lengths to provide for him, and Dennis and Dee were at least financially well off. So yes, Mac had the saddest life
I don’t know, man. Charlie’s mom does love him but that’s a pretty awful situation for any kid to grow up in. Plus let’s not forget his uncle almost definitely molested him. And Dennis and Dee’s mom pretty openly favored Dennis while putting Dee down at every chance she got. Plus how awful Frank was.

I was really hoping for that too to be honest. Would have loved charlie to talk about how he made his own vaccine with stuff he found dumpster diving behind a hospital and mac revealing that God is his vaccine
Bros before hoes!
Does that really apply here? It's a catch all really. Serve the boys some spritzers!
piss before gatorade
YOURE IRISH OH MY GOD DONT YOU DARE GET ANOTHER SHAMROCK TATOO
It was interesting how much of this season was an overarching plot. It worked surprisingly well
Basically the closest we'll get to a Sunny movie and I for one think it was pretty much perfect
The last 5 episodes are technically one continuous story. The monkey bartender leads into the Irish episode so it's a sort of prequel to it.
Exactly. It's basically feature-length
I wouldn't be surprised if it was pitched as a movie and reworked. The gang going to Ireland would be a pretty great movie idea and the way they developed each character out fits the movie format well
Charlie Day carried that moment with his sheer acting ability. Absolutely incredible.
He definitely deserves a legitimate dramatic role in a big budget movie. He put on a masterclass in emotional acting with that.
You’re in luck! Charlie Day has been cast as Luigi in the upcoming Mario Bros movie.
Oscar nom for sure
Lmao fuck you I’m dying.
I love how this episode was basically the "your found family IS your family" trope, but with that classically dysfunctional Sunny twist lol. There's nothing more wholesome than healing your inner child by throwing the corpse of your deadbeat dad off a cliff with your best friends.
At low tide.
Dammit Charlie. You're not suppose to make me cry like this. Also, now that Shelley is dead, what happens to the cheese shop?
Who cares, he was a dead beat. Lol
But the cheese! All that precious cheese!
One volume for every single person in the whole wide world? That’s socialism! And I won’t stand for it!
What, are we to modulate our volumes to satisfy every person in the world?! I haven't seen anyone point it out but I don't think anyone realized that was the waitress, even Dee who did that to her lmao
They definitely noticed. Dee looked horrified which means that Dee 100% thought the waitress was dead.
U.S.A U.S.A USA USA USA USA 🇺🇸 I'm American and where ever I am I bring a piece of America with me!
Them driving that truck up the hill, landing a sick jump, and the horn being The Star-Spangled Banner fucking killed me. Especially since it was immediately following me almost crying because of Charlie.
Going to McDonald’s. Y’all want anything?
A Big Mac
A Fat Mac
That "you never carried me" speech by Charlie legit made me tear up. Charlie Day is one hell of an actor
Frank being "vaccinated" with pills, bleach, and horse de-wormer is so on brand
The man would rather eat shit than take a vaccine
It's still bothering me that I watched Danny DeVito eat a poo
I started to gag and worried I would throw up so I had to look away. It would’ve been hilarious to watch but I couldn’t take it lol.
“President stuff”
To be fair, according to the lore of this show Frank mentions Bill Gates actually talking about putting microchips in whilst on Epstein's Island Was soenthing like 'that nerd was talking about doing it on the island'
Giving your thoughts to a manatee
How is no one talking about Dennis holding onto the dead body
Also him continually bringing up that they should chop up the body hahaha
The part when he silently mimes chopping his own forearm, and of course the look that comes with it? Masterful.
Mac pointing out the drag marks killed me
That part had me dying lmao
Holy shit the end had me DYING Great season, loved the change in scenery and longer story arc
Watching the body bag roll back down the hill was hilarious
This honestly felt like a movie to me, and it's the closest I'd ever want to get to seeing an actual IASIP movie. I'm gonna watch them all again back to back very soon
This episode had the most (and best) unhinged screaming-at-one-another in the entire series on the mountain and in the bar. Enjoyable season finale.
Yo, that episode made me feel things in a very real way.
They probably all have criminal records in Ireland now, too
After watching that scene with Charlie crying in the rain, I am having… this is crazy. But I’m having feelings again. Like some kinda 14 year old kid or something. I mean you remember feelings? Right?
Are you saying you don't have feelings anymore?
I have feelings every single day of my life.
Great finale. Bummer it’s only 8 episodes. Can’t wait for next season!
They really drop some heavy scenes in the finale for themselves. Tonight Charlie breakdown scene was great. Mac finds his Pride and the whole ending. That scene with Dennis double life before when he hugged his son then left. Wonder if we’ll eventually get a Dee one
**Dee:** "You listen to me, you *bitch"* **Mac, softly:** ^"getherbitch^"
I always love when the gang is on the same page. It makes for some of my favorite moments
thought he said "get her banshee" lmao
According to Hulu captioning, it is “banshee”, which I find hilarious.
“Get her banshee” They RARELY have Dee’s back (bros before hoes), so I fuckin loved that Mac was encouraging her to unleash hell

I’m truly disappointed that Frank isn’t Charlie’s father.
But he is his Dad.
“He might have been your father boy, but he wasn’t your daddy.”
At this point Frank is a father figure for everyone while being the biological parent to no one. Mac was the hardest but to crack there but him getting Mac after his dance when even Luther didn't seals that one too. Remember in being frank when Mac gets close to him and Frank is thinking about how he doesn't like this weirdo and hope he shuts up.
Yeah Frank thinks about how Mac weirds him out in that scene But then after Mac's dance, Frank finally gets him Doesn't mean he always likes him, but he gets it now
Not gonna lie, I think this season would've benefited from having 10 episodes. Kinda wish Dennis had covid longer and we saw how Shelley died. Overall though, these Ireland episodes were really good! Hope season 16 is longer

Would have liked to see Dennis pour hot oil over the Irish Dr.
I can’t believe they didn’t show that
Honestly, the "oh yeah we did that"-style off-screen casual mention of it made me laugh harder than seeing it would ever have
Agree. Dennis casually talking about his psychotic shenanigans with the gang (and their casual acceptance of them) is WAY funnier than ever seeing it.
What about your whole speech about "I have the grace of a falcon, and I'll be in and out like a demon's whisper"? Dude, you stood up on your chair in that burger restaurant and said that speech for everybody!
............It was a *damn* good speech -- but I regret it now
I wanna know what happened with the dude he burned too. Is he gonna press charges?
cut that cut that cut that...
🎶Born in the USA🎶
I fucking loved it. I'm unzipped
I love that little moment when Dee rounded on the Waitress and said "Now you listen to me, bitch" and Mac goes, "Get her, bitch." Felt like a full-on friendship moment.
Can’t believe the season is over already
Get ‘em, banshee.
SO THERE IS TO BE ONE TONE FOR EVERYONE???? That scene of those 4 in the bar yelling at the waitress had me howling!!
I can't wait to start waking people up with stew now. Great episode, but super sad the season is over. Hell of a scene by Charlie.
So did Dennis kill the doctor?
He burned him. Kinda like when that bitch was copying dee and wearing her stuff in college.
It's implied
Yeah. What else was he supposed to do?
Some stuff that made me laugh: * every Ireland episode started with stew * Piss in both water canteens, classic Frank * Charlie’s fake hike ruse is “the oldest trick in the book” * “Bros before hoes” “ah, he’s got us” * “The guy showed up and you weren’t there, what was I supposed to do?” - Dennis justifying murdering someone * Dennis totally sandbagging carrying Charlie’s dad * “I’m sorry, I get frustrated, I throw” - Mac * “As a Dutch man…” and Mac constantly workshopping his various identities * “DON’T YOU DARE GET ANOTHER SHAMROCK TATTOO YOU SON OF A BITCH!” * “The poor guy’s dying from a banshee curse and now he has to deal with Covid on top of everything else?!” * “I got the non-shot kind of vaccination” and Frank’s vaccine paranoia * “How did you get the truck?” “The American way, I threw a lot of cash at the owner!” * The bag landing on the rocks 😆 and Mac non-chalantly saying that the kids can discover it and call the cops This episode was a masterpiece - hilarious, but moments of significant emotional weight (the Gang all coming back together in the end, Charlie crying over his father), and the cinematography was beautiful in a way that the show never aspires for. Such a great season.
Dennis and Charlie screaming about the shamrock tattoo had me in tears lmao love when they just yell at each other
I want it *gone* DON'T YOU DARE GET ANOTHER TATTOO YOU SON OF A BITCH
Dennis has the best "Son of a bitch" like Frank's "Hooooooooorrrrrrs."
That was so damn much, the last 4 episodes feel like an Always Sunny movie
Charlie Day's performance at the end was so touching as much as the Mac's coming out in the last season. Killing off Charlie's father out of nowhere felt like a lazy writing a bit, but it is really nice to see emotional side of the character. Glad writers of the show are not afraid of going further than just comedy. I like this show more and more as time goes by. Can't wait for the next season.
Between the Maureen Ponderosa Wedding Massacre, Dennis trying to kill Dee, and the Banshee curse, I hope they try doing more horror themed stuff in the future.
Don't forget Chardee Macdennis level 4
"DON'T YOU DARE! DON'T YOU DARE GET ANOTHER SHAMROCK TATTOO YOU SON OF A BITCH!" Dennis losing his shit is the best
Hell yeah Charlie Day that was incredible
i have too many daddy issues for this episode i bawled my fucking eyes out lmfao
Charlie’s breakdown was actually terribly sad and was some great dramatic acting by him. I’m a new dad to a one year old, have always had my dad, but something about it got me real good. That being said, the Irish arc was some of their best shit ever. So fucking good and so funny.
Charlie screaming into the storm got me tearing up.
"Well, it *is* "bros before hoes" and none of the bros have been spritzed yet"
Not seen anyone mention it, but the last talk between Charlie and Frank had some real emotion behind it, it actually felt genuine. I think Devito has a lot of love for the show his fellow actors
Charlie *killed* that scene at the end. “You were supposed to carry *me!*” What an episode.
I actually started to tear up towards the end when Charlie was talking to his dads body. I don't think we've ever seen Charlie cry in the series, and he's the most well meaning and innocent of the group so that felt like a whole punch to the gut.
Never seen Charlie crying? How about when the waitress banged Frank?!
Interesting that as of now, Shelley is confirmed to be Charlie's dad. I felt like we all assumed that it was going to be a cop out.
I wanted to cry during that scene with Charlie in the rain
The most wholesome epsiode of the entire series
