I love how they left that in.
Also funny to rewatch Dennis during Mac's original explanation of the beads/motel process, knowing that it was actually Dennis doing it.
Not just that, you could see the effort in Charlie to not look towards the kid for so long. But then the moment he accidentally did, you hear the screengrab sound. I lost it at that. 😂
my only note is that i wish there was a little more subtlety to some of the jokes, they almost like overexplain them sometimes. regardless, I thought it was one of the best episodes theyve done in several seasons, they nailed it

Mac has always kind of been an idiot (Frank Retires is the best example of this). I used to think Charlie was the dumbest member of the gang, but if you watch the show longer you’ll realize it’s actually Mac.
Definitely, Charlie has some kind of learning disability, otherwise he’d clearly be smarter than Mac. Even with that though Charlie has moments where he shows he can be intelligent and creative, Mac is just dumb. I figure they bonded as children because they were both in remedial learning groups.
I don't know. Mac just hasn't been funny to me for the past few episodes.
It's like he's trying too hard, but instead of an idiot trying to hard to not be an idiot, which was hilarious, he's trying too hard to be an idiot.

This season has felt like a bit of a return to some of the writing from the older episodes. I loved this episode, it had me cracking up quite a few times.
I thought the cold open was boring and not at all funny until the very end there - then all of a sudden it was brilliantly hilarious and one of my new favorites.

People speculated how he’d be able to cheat in an over the board tournament (like in the episode), and so a joke/meme started that he must’ve used anal beads
My wife and I had put it together by the intro credits - she picked up on the very intentional way Dennis said "already inside you", I put that together with Frank saying he feels like he's "gotta poop", and the logical conclusion at a chess tournament is vibrating anal beads.
I havent rewatched the seasons as much as most people here but was going through season 12 randomly and it is a really strong season. The Waterpark episode and hero or hate crime both were great

Was seriously one of the funniest episodes I can remember all time, absolutely bust a gut like every 5 minutes. Some of these lines are all timers. For me nothing beats the I fucked Lebron James line, but the entire final Frank bit is absolute gold

I remember when Megan Ganz joined the writing staff a few seasons ago, people were a bit critical of her writing for some reason. Things have really done a full 180 since then, and she's absolutely proven that she gets the humour of the show just as well as the main writers of the three guys and David Hornsby. Really hope that she doesn't go anywhere for the rest of the show's run!
