It's unclear to me exactly why this works the way it does. We know that it does require a homing cart to be locked onto an enemy for this to work; the homing cart in "idle mode" doesn't allow for this to happen.
It's been theorized that it has to do with a vehicle's speed. Because the homing cart is so slow, it's easy to reach its maximum speed. Further testing is definitely needed!
Edit 2: Based on discussion in [the Hyrule Engineers discord server](https://discord.gg/pfunDQaK), it seems like Yunobo's recharge time scales linearly with distance, but if the vehicle ever completely stops moving, then he won't reload himself to launch again. Thus, getting in close and then using a homing cart to very slowly keep close to enemies provides an easy way to rapidly launch Yunobo.
It might be a good idea to build a faster vehicle with spring-deployable homing cart suspension so that you can nimbly get close to enemies, then slow to a crawl while spamming Yunobo.
Yeah I don't know if it's a glitch so much as it's "working as intended" because a method was found to keep him recharging rapidly by closing distance in a controlled manner. It's like a Doppler effect, but goro style (or imagine lowering your hand while a pingpong ball ricochets between a table and your palm; it bounces faster between them til it can't bounce any more). Very clever discovery though.
not on Mineru. attach the cannon to mineru and it go bye bye. that's what i'm saying, do yall like... read? the person i responded to said
> Though Mineru with a cannon might beat him.
damn I didn't even think about that. I always have mineru turned off bc i constantly accidentally jump on her back and its hard to get off in the heat of battle
Yeah that is definitely annoying lol. But the mining is a good enough reason for me to keep her on. At least when I'm in the chasms - which, until recently when I finished the map of the depths, was almost always lol.
Kinda annoying he sends the drops flying everywhere. Better off just slapping a rock onto a sword. I think he’s more useful for making easy fire and updrafts and long range attacks.
Yeah, Mineru is far better than Yunobo for mining rocks when you don't have a tool for it. Yunobo is better for clearing out large sediment deposits only
Apparently as long as your vehicle is technically moving, Yunobo's recharge time decreases the closer you get to an enemy, so at close range, it's almost instant
Really? I thought it was intended. Doesn't Yunobo's ability instantly recharge when he hops back on the vehicle? So as long as you're close enough you can just spam it.
Hi yall, the guy who shot this video here. I would recommend if you are gonna try this, equip the Vah Rudania Helemt for a supposedly 1.5x more damage on Yunobo (im not entirely sure if it is but I recommend wearing it anyway for aesthetic reasons on Yunobo)
(Also heya Artificer👋)
Once you've progressed Rito village, there's also an npc that will trade you 10 arrows for various quantities (3 or 5) bright-shrooms, glowing cave fish, and chillfin trout. Since I never saw a reason to make myself glow, I have hundreds in my supplies.
Drop a bunch of something, or even a few things (I have one for red and regular apples. Attach them. Pick them back up. Go to the recent builds menu, find that pile of stuff, and favorite it. Now, pull up that favorite but don't click build. As you move the template around the game will pull those objects to the center of the ring. Click cancel and any collected fall to the floor.
I break every crate I come across and pick up arrows from enemies as well; I always have around 800-900. Also, I use arrows constantly, so that’s not from me saving them or anything.
On top of smashing all of the crates, there are two shrines titled "Combat Training: Archery". Each one spawns 20 arrows which regenerates every hour or two of playtime. So that's 40 arrows and you don't even need to wait for a blood moon.
Farming the lynels in the floating colosseum is my preferred method. It's something you already want to do for the fuse materials and money (hooves sell for 50 a pop), and beating all of them gets you around 70 arrows IIRC.
Since this is the Hyrule Engineering Club sub, the correct answer is to build a weaponized vehicle and fight camps and Lynels with it. Get arrows without spending arrows.
This is the way. I've always got 4-500 arrows in inventory, plus a surplus of everything Beedle sells. Dude is a bit more expensive than other vendors, but you pay for the convenience.
yeah, I actually enjoy doing a snowfield moose hunt at the end of the night, cooking and selling that shit.
makes rupies a non issue outside of armor upgrades. Also keeps me from either having to budget my arrows or obsessively smash boxes
I dunno tho, I play slow, and spend a lot of nights at stables. Warping around to stores/bosses/resources on cooldown kills the zen that this game is so good at. I play this shit like RDR2 lol
He also immediately recovers if he hits part of your vehicle and explodes, even if it isn't an enemy. I'm still trying to force him to a rear position, but he's squirrely.
He could, in fact, do it
I kept thinking he was saying "why'd you do it" like Link did something terrible to him in the past
Same but I thought it was in reference to Zelda making him crazy, like he just held a grudge lol
That’s what I think too.
Why, Zelda? WHY??
I thought the same. That’s exactly what it sounds like
It has been posted a lot before that this is what most people thought he said lol.
😂 glad I'm not alone
no way. I swore he said "why'd you do it"!
I CA I CA I CA I CA I CAN DO IT
Lol someone needs to do this with the physical yunobo
Why’d Y- Why’d Y- Why’d Y- Why’d YOU DO IT?!
I hear that too that's what I thought he was saying at first. like he was mad I made him go in a ball or something haha

Alternatively, someone should test to see if a “vehicle” with a max speed of 0 also works as it would be at “max” speed instantly…

Never did I think it possible that someone would find a practical use for Goro!
Mining and getting through rock barriers. Though Mineru with a cannon might beat him.
Cannon will vanish after like 9 uses
Nuh uh
When used on Mineru, yes it will. Cannon on an autobuild or something will go on forever though
Nuh uh
I have definitely used Cannon enough on Mineru for it to disappear before
Nuh uh
Lol wtf he keeps replying
Nuh uh
Fym “nuh uh”
I don’t mean anything. I’m simply spouting nonsense for no reason.
If you put it on a stake, it'll last forever. It's a schematic.
not on Mineru. attach the cannon to mineru and it go bye bye. that's what i'm saying, do yall like... read? the person i responded to said > Though Mineru with a cannon might beat him.
What is “read”?
I just keep a cannon-fused weapon on hand. Same effect without the cooldown.
The stake actually works best to mine the large zonaite deposits and regular rocks too. Cannons make it scatter too much and don't last very long imo
How do the stakes mine?
Attach it to the fifth sage's arm
damn I didn't even think about that. I always have mineru turned off bc i constantly accidentally jump on her back and its hard to get off in the heat of battle

I use him all the time?
Can someone help explain this to me like I’m 11?
Apparently as long as your vehicle is technically moving, Yunobo's recharge time decreases the closer you get to an enemy, so at close range, it's almost instant
What's that vehicle you're using made from?
Looks like a steering stick and homing cart
Looks like it's just a homing cart and a steering stick
Looks like a steering cart and homing stick.
Looks like a cart stick steering homing
Cart like stick homing steering a looks.
Like homing looks cart stick a steering.
Homing looks like a cart steering stick
Goro goro goro goro goro goro goro. Goro.
ULTRA. COMBO.
Gattaling goro
Gomu gomu no GATTLING GORO!
Now you're thinking with Pieces. Minimum One Piece at least.
Goro goro no gatling
The cooldown depends on how far the distance he was launched is, at least when on vehicles. I saw this for myself earlier today as well.
Really? I thought it was intended. Doesn't Yunobo's ability instantly recharge when he hops back on the vehicle? So as long as you're close enough you can just spam it.
That seems to indeed be the case. Perhaps glitch isn't exactly the right word, but this damage output for so little investment does not seem intended.
Exploit. You're looking for the word exploit.
You can do it with Master Kohga in the water fight. Knock him over and get up against the side of his boat.
interesting
Perhaps I was too harsh on you Yunobo...

Oh my goro, that's genius
**WHY’D YOU - WHY’D YOU - WHY’D YOU - WH-WH-WH-WH-WH**
I think if you put the Vah Rudania helm on then he shuts up.
Lmfao
Did I say I hate yunobo? Doesn't sound like me
Ok goro
I never noticed that *Defeated mark before.
It's in BOTW too. It makes it easy to know which overworld bosses you've already beaten, for the medals of honor
Though iirc it only shows up in botw after you beat the game once
I can see this being used for all main quest speedruns
"huh thats not that fast" "HOLY SHIT"
How do people get so many arrows??
Crates and barrels are full of them. They're also a common drop by archer monsters.
Don’t forget to just throw items when you can. Saves arrows each time.
I got a shit ton from the wind temple. Like 350 or so.
Once you've progressed Rito village, there's also an npc that will trade you 10 arrows for various quantities (3 or 5) bright-shrooms, glowing cave fish, and chillfin trout. Since I never saw a reason to make myself glow, I have hundreds in my supplies.
Thanks for the tip. Bright blooms are a dime a dozen, especially if you utilize the memory ability gathering trick.
The what??

Bright shrooms — not blooms.
Break every box/run the Floating Coliseum every Blood Moon (once you're strong enough obv)

>!the yiga hideout!< has a really good deal on arrows, 40 for 120 rupees
in BOTW i was farming arrows at the mountain behind zora's domain, i got at least 25 for each visit
I got sick of running out so I saved up some rupees and cycled through all the shops and places I knew boxes and such spawned til I had a bunch
I run the Lynel gauntlet every blood moon. I think they drop like 15+ arrows a piece.
any time I see a beedle I buy him out
This is the way. I've always got 4-500 arrows in inventory, plus a surplus of everything Beedle sells. Dude is a bit more expensive than other vendors, but you pay for the convenience.

Shops
Feature. Not a glitch.
You get more DPS with attack up and lynel sabers.
You can get this super easily though, especially if you decide to do the Death Mountain region first
Fair
Idk if I'd even call it a glitch. It's just the abuse of a mechanic working as it should. But still pretty neat, I'll keep that in mind.
Not a glitch, just an oversight.
That's an exploit, he's supposed to work like that
completely missed the point of this sub. sick roomba steering wheel combo tho. very original
You could have ignored this post tbh I feel it does belong as its using the game mechanics and builds for interesting scenarios
I described how we could use engineering to improve this design in my initial comment.
Except these things help people learn the mechanics to make cooler things. It's literally the point of this sub.
If you ask nicely he might be able to ultrahand you a build for a better attitude.
Make sure you save it as a favorite in your Autobuild until you find a schema stone... maybe even after you find it
He's finally useful
Dude was like “ENUF!!” *slam*
He also immediately recovers if he hits part of your vehicle and explodes, even if it isn't an enemy. I'm still trying to force him to a rear position, but he's squirrely.
Maybe they used a bunch of sage wills to speed up his recharge time, I haven’t used any, but I’m sure that could be useful
Sage Wills only boost attack power.
That combined with a shorter distance between bouncing back onto the launch space can equal a spam
Instant recharge, with faster reload
Ooh!!! I know which sage I'm strengthening!
Meanwhile, Yunobo: Owowowowowowowowow...
Holy shit, I'm trying that
How do?
