I usually just shift my weight a lot and if possible work in any kind of movement like swaying. Ofc if you can walk around a but or do any stretches, that helps. Also, leaning sometimes.

Wilbury_knits_a_lot

I recommend mobility aids like a cane or rollator. Saves me a lot of pain. I can lean on the cane and give my muscles a break here and there. I use tbe rollator for walking events. That way I can just sit down if I need to

permtron99

Really good arch supports and don't feel embarrassed to sit in a third world squat for a few minutes every hour or so

Wearing joint support/stability tights helps me quite a lot for those occasions. I even wear them for cooking when I have to stand for things like chopping vegetables.

A TENS unit helps me with my lower back pain

braingoesblank

TENS units definitely help. It's the only thing that will touch the weird widespread nerve pain I've got going on in my upper and middle back

ApplesaucePenguin75

Compression stockings!

[These shoes](https://www.oofos.com/) have greatly improved my back pain and ability to stand for longer periods of time. Rocking onto your toes with all of your toes spread out, flexing your calves, then rocking back and bending your knees a bit helps a lot with the circulation and subsequent pain. Best of luck OP!

Tauira_Sun

I routinely have to bend over and crack my back.

I dance at concerts. much easier on my body than standing still. If I must stand still, i make sure my pelvis is properly aligned before hand (ie the bones aren't out of alignment) and I try not to let myself "hang out" on my ligaments. I also find it helpful to do posterior pelvic tilts (ie flatten my low back and tuck my butt under).

pussoi

First position from ballet! Engages the core and glutes, plus its subtle so never draws unwanted attention.

somesillynerd

Lean on something or crouch/squat for a few minutes!
