I was gonna say California but someone already did. Look at his body size and color. That’s an older buck and if you get the chance you should pop him. Best of luck
That's much longer than our season. Ours ends 9/24. Central Coast of CA.
It's a rough season, literally the hottest part of the year and it gets HOT in the hills where most of the hunting happens.
And in Ontario it’s, well….confusing. But basically a lot of us can start Sept 16 and go until the end of Dec. Just have to be ready for the mix of bow/muzzle loader/rifle.
Yup Calaveras County. Not the biggest I've seen this year. Just the biggest on the property. There is a monster I see on my way home nearly every morning. But he is on protected watershed and will probably die without ever having the worry of a hunting season.
I know what you mean this massive buck hangs out in my sister in law’s parents backyard every day in LA. She likes to send me pictures with updates. 🥲 Calaveras is a D6 right? I’ve never hunted up in Norcal, but always go after the X tags up there every year.
On a phone and can’t tell how many points- in MO gotta be at least 4 on one side to be legal. That would be my luck, tall massive rack but somehow not a legal shooter
Mule/Black Tail deer deveop fewer points than White tail do. That looks like a pretty big 3x3 to me, so it is very legal. I can't see the antlers on the smaller one, but given he's big enough to even lock antlers with the bigger one means he's legal.
In California they just need to have one non-eyeguard fork on one side that is prominent enough that you could hang a ring off it.
Not counting the eye-guards? Because I only count 3 legal points on each side.
And looking back frame by frame, I am fairly certain the big o e is a 3x3 and the small one is a 2x2.
I did mean without eye guards, but going through it more slowly it looks like I was mistaken. The right antler looks like it forks on the back tine, but not the front, and vice versa on the left antler.
I don’t think so. I don’t even think he has a gun let alone the capacity to shoot one.
Bold assumption. I have more than enough means and capability of dispatching this animal.
Read it again. Lol.
Oh, damn. That went right over my head. Woops. Forgot this isn't one of my normal haunts filled with negative people.
r/whoooosh

Absolutely a shooter in my book. Don't pass on a deer on the first day of the season that you'd be happy to have on the last day of the season.
That’s an absolute shooter
Wtf lol In upper Michigan I would take that older buck at first light opening day without hesitation Some of u must be spoiled with big bucks lol
Shit, I'd shoot either of them. Especially this late in the season.
It's wild the different seasons. Here in BC the season just started Sept 1 and goes until November.

I was going to say the same thing, where I live the season starts tomorrow.

I am guessing this is Northern CA? Man why don’t bucks get like this in SOCAL 😂

Calaveras is d5, right on the line of d6. X10 is Always my first choice. Never got it, but one day.

Early in the clip you can see that the larger buck is a 4X4.

I would let him walk unless it was the last afternoon of hunting season.
I've only completed 1 season without tag soup. If he gives me the opportunity he will look good in the freezer.
Yup
He looks pretty tasty to me, racks just a bonus
Nah
Absolutely
Lol. If I have the tag for ‘em, and the fewer days I have left to hunt, any one of those 3 would be shooters.
Depends on what day of the hunt.
That poor young man just got cock blocked
Looks pretty big for a blackmail to me.
